00:20: Let's look at how the Bible describes love, and then we will see a few ways in which God is the essence of love.
00:27: Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast.
00:32: It is not proud. It is not rude. It is not self -seeking. It is not easily angered.
00:38: It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
00:44: It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
00:50: Love never fails—1 Corinthians 13, verses 4 -8. This is
00:56: God's description of love. And because God is love—1 John 4, verse 8—this is what
01:02: He is like. God does not force Himself on anyone. Those who come to Him do so in response to His love.
