Sean and I have not been to the Ark Encounter yet. And we are about to shoot the
00:12
Ark in the Darkness interviews here. And so this is a really wild experience. We didn't sleep last night.
00:18
I think we slept one or two hours. We just flew in, and now we're here.
00:24
So exciting! All vehicles. Okay, well that says...
00:30
Can you see it yet? No, not yet. Do they got pills blocking it?
00:41
Hey everyone, it's Ralph. And this is the Christmas update of the Ark in the
00:46
Darkness film shoot. So honestly, when you're just, what, 100 yards back there, it's like, you know, it's okay.
00:53
It's not bad. And then once you get up here, you're like, oh my goodness, that's big. We decided to step out in faith and begin filming the
01:04
Ark in the Darkness speakers at AIG before the crowdfunder was even finished.
01:10
So here's a little bit of a behind -the -scenes video of what it's like shooting at night at the
01:16
Ark. So this is my first time here at the Ark, and it's kind of crazy because sort of the same philosophy behind what we're going to do with the
01:23
Ark in the Darkness is try to give people like a recap of Genesis before you get to, you know, the pre -Flood world and then the
01:32
Flood and then the post -Flood world. But it was really cool seeing my movie here on the screen.
01:38
I thought this was only over at the Creation Museum, so pretty awesome that they're using this as part of their creation summary.
01:57
So what makes shooting at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter so much of a challenge is that you can only start shooting after 6 p .m.
02:08
when they close the doors. And it takes about four or five hours to set up, you know, some really good shots for each speaker.
02:17
And you have two speakers a night. And so both nights at the Ark, we were shooting well until about 5 a .m.
02:24
And in this particular case right here, in this shot you're seeing, a certain someone kept interrupting us.
02:38
Yep, it was none other than Noah himself who kept making noises throughout the entire time we were filming poor
02:48
Tim Chaffee. And so we had to switch him off and then later switch him back on again.
02:58
Here you see Dr. Mortensen shooting at 3 a .m. at night. Oh, here's Dr. Snelling.
03:05
And here is Dr. Gabriella Haynes, as well as soon -to -be
03:10
Dr. Tim Chaffee here. It was an awesome first shoot, and we're so thankful to AIG for being in our film.
03:18
Hey everybody, it's Ralph, and we just wanted to give you a fun update. We actually got done shooting last week at Answers in Genesis at the
03:27
Ark Encounter. It was part one of a two -part shoot that we're doing for the Ark in the
03:32
Darkness. We actually went and took a leap of faith and decided to use our own finances and pump it into a shoot and just say, hey
03:41
God, we trust you that you're going to make the crowdfunder work, you're going to make the money come in to be able to do the rest of the whole film.
03:48
So we shot AIG, and actually in January we're going to be shooting all the other speakers at Liberty University.
03:54
But in the meantime, I wanted to give you a quick tour as well of, I guess what
03:59
I'm calling the 7 -fold film studio. It's humble, humble beginnings.
04:06
But follow me this way, and I'm going to take you on a really quick tour. So right here we have 10 computers that we're going to be setting up, and those are going to go on the second rack over here in a moment in the server room that I'm going to show you.
04:21
And we're basically going to, in our downtime between the two shoots, be setting up all the rest of the computers, and these computers are what render the
04:30
ARK and the Darkness movie in Quantum. These are the types of computers that rendered out the Genesis movie, the
04:37
Olivia pro -life project that you guys saw, etc., etc. So keep following me. So over here is a structure
04:47
I put together from scratch. It took me several months to do. We basically had to gut this place.
04:53
It was an absolute nightmare. I almost don't even want to tell you because you wouldn't look at the place the same way again, but it had mice, rats, squirrels, snakes.
05:05
I guess they had left the door open to this warehouse, and they weren't here for a couple of years, and all sorts of disgusting crap got in here.
05:13
So we sanitized the place, we cleaned it up, and then we basically tore out the structure that was in here and totally rebuilt this in here, complete with some really state -of -the -art air conditioning units.
05:24
This is our little kitchen here. Over there is the bathroom. Here is my office.
05:31
And the guy who's doing the camera work right now, Sean, he's actually our first employee that we've hired for this film.
05:38
And this is his office. It's a cool little nook that we made with a pretty sweet cushy chair and a really nice setup there.
05:46
But if you follow me over here, this is actually the render room, the server room. So a lot of you may already be familiar, this is actually the tower that kept getting upgraded and upgraded ever since Quantum, so I kind of call this the
06:02
Quantum Tower. And then over here, you'll notice this is empty. This is where those other computers are going, and we're going to have a second tower, the
06:09
Ark in the Darkness Tower. And of course, both of the towers will share rendering jobs from each other and whatnot.
06:16
But the cool thing is, this time around, I actually got to design a server room with all of the knowledge that I had prior to other little places that you've seen me build over the years.
06:27
And I just took all the information, packed it into this one room, and now I feel like I have the best server room
06:34
I could possibly get for the money. So it's really exciting. We're so thrilled that we're able to make this movie.
06:41
We're trusting in God. As you guys see, I guess because of COVID and the tough times, the crowd funder is a little bit behind, but we still have time.
06:50
We can turn it around. We've always trusted that God would provide for us because he always has, and we believe that this movie and all of the things we're doing, whether it's the
06:59
Pro -Life video series or it's Quantum or it's the Genesis movie
07:04
I already made or Ark in the Darkness, he provides, and he uses you guys to do it. So hopefully, you guys will be able to squeeze a little bit extra out.
07:13
I know it's Christmas. I know that you guys probably already spent a lot of money on gifts and everything, but it'd be great if you guys could consider supporting this.
07:20
We are in the last days. We are trying to fight to get the truth out there and to save people. And the number one reason why people don't believe right now in the
07:28
Bible and Jesus Christ is because they think that the Bible has been historically and scientifically debunked, and the
07:34
Ark in the Darkness is going to shatter that misconception. So thank you guys. We love you guys.
07:40
God bless you, brothers and sisters. And we'll send you another update soon. So that's it for this update, guys.
07:48
Thank you so much for bringing us this far. We obviously have a long way yet to go, and we are trusting in God that he will bring us the rest of the way.
07:57
We hope that you will consider donating to this amazing film that, God willing, will help save souls.
