Are Mormons Saved?

According to Mormon theology, God the Father, whose name is Elohim, is a physical being of flesh and bones who completed a process of becoming divine.

Joseph Smith taught that God once was a man like one of us and dwelled on an earth the same as Jesus Christ himself did in the flesh.

While the Bible teaches that all who are in Christ have become adopted sons and daughters of God, the Mormons teach that all men and women are literally the sons and daughters of God.

By living a sinless life, Jesus became the infinite and eternal sacrifice that Alma 34 .10 says was needed to pay for the sins of all the other and literal children of God.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints is filled with a bunch of weird teachings that go against the Bible, but this much has been singled out to make one point.

Mormons believe in a different Jesus. Because they believe in a different Jesus, His death on the cross is a different atonement.

Because it's a different atonement, Mormons are not saved. As the Apostle Paul wrote, even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preach to you, let him be accursed when we understand the text.
