The 2013 Strange Fire Conference was one of the most consequential biblical
conferences of the modern era, and in 2024, we're going to pick up where
Strange Fire left off.
Welcome to the program, ladies and gentlemen.
My name is Justin Peters.
I hope that this finds you and your family doing well today.
I want to thank you so much for joining me.
This October 3rd through 5th, we will be having the Cessationist Conference at First Baptist Church
in Mustang, Oklahoma.
That is right outside of Oklahoma City.
And at this conference, we will be engaging the erroneous theology and practices of
the charismatic movement.
Here's a short trailer.
The church today is infected with the influences of the charismatic movement.
God told me who I would marry.
When God spoke to me, I like heard it so clear.
As clear as I'm talking to you now, the Lord spoke to my heart.
God spoke to us audibly.
I hear the audible voice from God.
The word that the Lord gave me.
He told me that everything I was feeling in my spirit was correct.
I know that this is what the Holy Spirit has spoken to me.
That's the word God spoke to me.
Charismatic theology has affected so much of our theology in ways that we don't often recognize.
Man, I tried for years to speak in tongues.
Don't speak in English.
Don't think English.
Mom, briastikar, yesta, brianda, yes, the man says it's weird, but the spirit says hello.
This is awesome.
Fake miracles, false tongues, non -authoritative prophecy.
A prophet is one who has God's words put in his mouth.
If you are not earnestly desiring spiritual gifts, especially prophecy, you are sinning.
They don't have a single prophet who has been 100 % accurate.
What does the New Testament say prophecy is?
What does the New Testament say tongues are?
What does the New Testament say the gifts of healing are?
Let's compare them to the contemporary charismatic Pentecostal movement, and what you find out is
the two don't match.
It teaches people to look away from the Bible to some experience.
Deep down, charismatics are riddled with doubts about what they believe.
Is God's word sufficient?
Is God's word enough?
Dreams, visions, those sort of things inspired me to love Jesus, to obey him more.
Join us in October of 2024 for the cessationist conference.
The church must once again stand with a renewed confidence in God's sufficient word.
We hope to see you there.
Charismatics like to claim the high ground when it comes to pneumatology, our understanding of the
person and work of the Holy Spirit of God.
But dear friends, the Holy Spirit of God is not making people jerk and shake and act
intoxicated.
He's not the author of false prophecies.
He's not making gold dust and angel feathers fall out of the sky.
Hey, how is everyone?
It's here, the angel feathers are already falling.
Oh, come on.
Here we go.
Are you ready?
Thank you, Jesus.
That's just like Jesus.
He's not shuttling people back and forth between heaven and earth.
He's not making people speak in unintelligible, ecstatic gibberish.
If you're believing God for the gift of tongues, I want to pray with you right now.
Simply surrender and trust, surrender syllables and sounds and let the Holy Spirit fill them.
Father, I pray in the name of Jesus for that one who desires their prayer language.
And I ask you precious Holy Spirit to help them to trust you.
Help them to stop overthinking.
This is a pagan practice, by the way, that is not the biblical gift of tongues.
And he is certainly not behind the work of these so -called faith healers with their fake
miracles of healing like Todd White's infamous and exposed leg lengthening
routine.
Now we're going to see Todd White's clip sped up quite a bit and looped back and forth.
Now this is where we can see what's really going on here.
The leg on our right is supposed to be the short leg and this is the leg which should be miraculously growing, but it's not.
Look at the leg on our left.
That's where all the action is.
That's what's actually being manipulated.
The Holy Spirit is not behind any of this, nor is the Holy Spirit behind the resurgence of these
so -called deliverance ministries when self -proclaimed demon slayers like
Alexander Pagani and Isaiah Saldivar and Vlad Savchuk, Catherine
Crick and Greg Locke claim to be able to cast out demons from Christians, mind you.
So if you are a Christian who has an issue with anger,.
We'll say just like we do on Sunday night, get out in Jesus name, get out in Jesus name, get out in Jesus
name, you demon, get out, drag him out.
Anybody else want to play games before I get to preaching?
You better go ahead and do it right now, because it's going to be twice as bad here in a few minutes.
You do it while I'm preaching.
I'll take this microphone and bust you in the mouth with it, in the name of God, because we ain't playing your stupid Democrat games up in this church.
You hear me?
If you're going to play games, you might as well pull your shirt off and be a big boy and do it right now.
Go ahead, big girl.
Come up here right now.
If you're going to do it, you might as well do it right now.
If I'm making you nervous, there's the door.
You can get out.
Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.
Get up out of this house right now!
We ain't playing your games in this house!
Get out!
...or lust or alcohol, well, you've got a demon inside of you, and you need to have one of these demon
slayers extricate that demon from you.
This is profoundly unbiblical, but very self -serving to these so -called demon
slayers.
Dear friends, the charismatic movement, sadly, is rife with
unbiblical theology and unbiblical practices.
We'll take a look at the history of the charismatic movement and see that its entire history is just
riddled.
People who they refer to as God's generals, their forefathers and foremothers,
to a man, to a woman, they were heretics, false prophets, charlatans, hucksters, and most of them
sexually immoral people.
That's the history, sadly, of the charismatic movement.
And why is it that this movement that claims to have the highest view and closest relationship
to the Holy Spirit of God is also the movement that is the welcoming home to the most prolific false
prophets, the most brazen heretics, and those obvious charlatans and hucksters
ever to disgrace the name of Christ.
They all find a welcoming home in the charismatic movement.
And we will be looking at what the Bible truly has to say about the person and working
and gifting of the Holy Spirit of God.
I am really looking forward to this conference.
I want to extend to you a warm invitation.
Even if you have charismatic leanings, but you want to know the truth,
please do come.
It is our desire to speak the truth and love.
We will be clear.
We will be direct.
We will call out false teaching because it is necessary and needful to do so.
But we do aim to speak the truth and love.
So please do come.
This will be at First Baptist Church, Mustang, Oklahoma.
Again, that's basically just a suburb right outside of Oklahoma City.
This is an easy day's drive from, I'd say, most of the country.
It's just three hours or so north of Dallas, Fort Worth.
Easy drive from there.
Easy drive even from Kansas City and other places.
So y 'all do come and join us.
I'm looking forward to it.
I know I can speak for myself, and I'm almost certain I can speak for all of the other preachers there.
We will be very accessible to you.
One of the things I love about these conferences, yes, the preaching, yes, the sessions and all that, but just getting to talk to
people one -on -one.
So please do come and join us.
The link is down there below in the description.
Please do go ahead and make your reservations now while there's still room.
This is going to be a great conference.
As I said in the intro, we are going to pick up where Strange Fire left off.
We're going to throw a big rock in the pond because since Strange Fire, the charismatic movement
continues sadly to churn out more false teachers,
more lies, more deception.
Hillsong, Bethel Church is drawing in young people, especially
teenagers and young adults by the droves from all over the world.
They are deceiving and hurting an awful lot of people.
So dear friends, we want to give you the truth and we want you to experience true
freedom in Christ and the true work of the Holy Spirit of God.
Thank you so very much.
Again, dear friends, link down below in the description and Lord willing, I will see you
in October.
