- 00:00
- Psalm 2 10 through 12. Now, therefore, Oh, kings, who kings?
- 00:08
- Oh, kings, be wise. Be warned, Oh, rulers of the earth. Serve the
- 00:14
- Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the sun, lest he be angry and you perish in the way for his wrath is quickly kindled.
- 00:27
- But blessed are all who take refuge in him. The exhortation to governing authorities, even the ones in this building behind us, is kiss the sun, kiss the
- 00:43
- Lord Jesus Christ. And so let me encourage you and all magistrates to kiss the sun, especially all who are in the civil government.
- 00:52
- Kiss the son of God. That's a picture of love and submission of an embracing of the
- 01:00
- Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the eternal son of God. And first of all, hear the gospel.
- 01:08
- Jesus, who is God, became a man. He lived without sin for his people's righteousness.
- 01:15
- He died on the cross for sinners to pay our sin debt to his father.
- 01:21
- He then arose from death to eternal life three days later to be the unshakable savior and king of his people.
- 01:32
- Do you believe that? But that is not the only reason the Lord Jesus Christ lived, died and arose not just to save particular and individual sinners.
- 01:44
- The Lord Jesus Christ lived, died and arose to receive the nations as his inheritance.
- 01:52
- This is exactly what Psalm 2 says in verse 8. He did this to receive the nations as his heritage and the ends of the earth his possession.
- 02:05
- And part of this receiving the nations as his heritage and the ends of the earth as his possession includes being the blessed and only sovereign, the king of kings and the
- 02:18
- Lord of lords. So Jesus did not just live, die and arise to save sinners only, though that be the principal work.
- 02:27
- But it's so that all of the nations one day will bow down before him and especially even governing authorities who in Psalm 2 are told, be warned, serve the
- 02:38
- Lord, kiss the son, embrace the son. So you and all governing authorities need to kiss the feet of the son in repentance.
- 02:50
- You need to kiss his hand in faith and obedience and kiss his face in love and affection.
- 02:59
- But what particularly does it look like for governing authorities to kiss the son, the
- 03:04
- Lord Jesus Christ, by embracing him in love? Well, he says in John 14, 15,
- 03:12
- If you love me, you will keep my commandments. If governing authorities want to kiss the son as they're commanded to do, submit in love and obedience to Christ, it looks like keeping his commandments.
- 03:26
- And so what has the Lord Jesus Christ told magistrates, told governing authorities, senators, reps, attorney generals and governors to do?
- 03:36
- What has he told them? Psalm 82, he says, How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked?
- 03:46
- You apply that to this situation? This is the Lord God speaking through his prophet and saying,
- 03:53
- How long will you show partiality to mothers and allow them immunity when they kill their children in their wombs?
- 04:01
- How long will you show partiality to the wicked? Then the command is give justice to the weak and the fatherless.
- 04:10
- Give them justice. Maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy.
- 04:17
- Deliver them from the hand of the wicked. This is how governing authorities love the
- 04:24
- Lord Jesus Christ. If you love me, keep my commandments. And he looks at all governing authorities and says,
- 04:30
- How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? This bill of equal protection in your state will not show partiality to the wicked.
- 04:41
- This bill needs to be supported by you and by all governing authorities as a way to love the
- 04:48
- Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to him and kissing his feet, his hands, and his face.
- 04:55
- Now therefore, O kings, be wise. Be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the
- 05:01
- Lord with fear. Rejoice with trembling. Kiss the son.
- 05:07
- Would you pray with me? Our Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of our high priest, the
- 05:14
- Lord Jesus. And we ask you to raise up men who will be godly,
- 05:19
- God -fearing legislators. Raise them up. Grant repentance in whatever ways they need to repent.
- 05:27
- Raise them up to stand firm on your word and to not show partiality to the wicked, but to establish justice for our pre born neighbors by abolishing abortion as murder rather than regulating it like it's health care.
- 05:43
- Raise up these men to stand firm and to kiss the sun. We pray all this in the name of Christ.
- 05:51
- Amen. Our next we'll hear from Brother Jerry Doris.
- 06:02
- Brother Jerry is a pastor of Reformation Church in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and he is the founder of Five Soulish Press.
- 06:10
- And so, Jerry, would you come speak with us? Well, let me begin this morning by offering my congregation's heartfelt thank you to the legislators who have labored for years in Kentucky to get us to the point that we're at.
- 06:32
- And that may seem odd to our ears as those that are abolitionists, but we are thankful for where we're at in in so many ways.
- 06:40
- Our church in Shelby County and many others across the Commonwealth are rejoicing to no longer have to drive into Louisville and plead with actively aborting mothers to let us help them choose life for their
- 06:56
- Children. And we are thankful for the effect of the trigger laws that our legislators had the forethought to pass should row be overturned.
- 07:08
- And, of course, we are praising God this morning that the Kentucky Supreme Court has upheld them.
- 07:15
- Let them stand. And so that gives us a reprieve as it were. But today, with those efforts in mind, and I want to speak directly to the legislators that as we think of those that that have those in view,
- 07:31
- I want to ask you, will you finish the task to protect your
- 07:37
- Kentucky neighbors? In the gospel of Luke, the Lord Jesus, uh, told a parable about a person left naked and bruised, exposed to the elements, barely hanging on to life.
- 07:53
- And as it happened, two people who could have helped him walked past his broken body, not willing to bother themselves to come to his aid.
- 08:04
- Now, there's a couple reasons, perhaps, that we can think about as to why they did not want to involve themselves.
- 08:12
- The first is the potential danger. There's danger. You see, the injured person in the parable was assaulted by robbers, and stopping to care meant that their own lives were potentially on the line.
- 08:26
- A second reason is appearances there. The optics of care could bring them too close.
- 08:34
- Stopping meant getting their hands dirty and potentially being unclean, ceremonially unclean.
- 08:40
- And a third reason is timing. They didn't have the time to care.
- 08:46
- They had a different agenda, and stopping to care for the man meant that they would be delayed from what they were purposing to do as they went on to Jerusalem.
- 08:57
- Now, why does none of that matter? Why, when we hear that now, do we instinctively know that concerns for personal safety or how others would perceive it or trying to manage time are mere excuses because life must be protected.
- 09:17
- His life needed their protection. Here in Kentucky, legislators, your neighbors still need you.
- 09:30
- Their lives still need protection. Now, your neighbors are a little girl conceived in rape and her victim mom.
- 09:42
- Neither girl chose the violence perpetrated upon them, and they need laws to protect both of their lives.
- 09:50
- Your neighbors are twins conceived in adultery, and their father and mother are embarrassed because they're growing presence exposes the affair.
- 10:00
- A law of equal protection would save the lives of the twins and cause those parents to face their sin.
- 10:08
- Your neighbor is a boy who doctors warn may have down syndrome, and your neighbors are his terrified mom and dad, overwhelmed by the thought of raising a son with special needs and who are contemplating ending his life to spare the hardship in theirs.
- 10:26
- Your courage now to give Kentucky and laws of equal protection will save his life and help his parents think clearly about the value of life.
- 10:36
- When laws are on the books, giving equal protection to pre born Kentucky and a statement of value is being made.
- 10:45
- It is a statement that says we see you. We care about you.
- 10:51
- We will not walk past you. It's a statement to mothers to see their
- 10:57
- Children as valued human life from fertilization to birth. With laws of equal protection, women are not criminalized.
- 11:07
- Rather, they are encouraged to value the precious life in their womb. Such laws protect the weakest and most vulnerable and help women think clearly about God's gift of Children.
- 11:20
- Laws of equal protection are not evil. They restrain evil. Yes, sir. Such laws do not criminalize victims.
- 11:29
- They protect victims. Laws of equal protection help people clearly see the identity of the neighbors they must love.
- 11:39
- Hear me. Lobbyists and colleagues will tell you that supporting a bill of equal protection will put your career in danger that your credibility will be lost.
- 11:52
- Is the life of your pre born neighbor not more valuable than your political position?
- 11:59
- They will tell you that supporting this bill will not look good. They will try to convince you that it criminalizes women and it's bad optics.
- 12:08
- Is the life of your pre born neighbor not worth fighting those lies and slander and mischaracterizations?
- 12:17
- They will tell you that it's not the right time. They'll suggest that there are other bills that need your support more.
- 12:24
- They'll suggest next year. Let's support this next year. But friend, there will always be an excuse to delay standing on principle.
- 12:34
- It's always the right time to do the right thing. Legislators, you have labored hard to protect
- 12:44
- Children. We acknowledge that you have such good intent and even the laws that you put forward so far and we are thankful for you and we pray for you.
- 12:55
- Our church and others recognize your work. But let's finish the task really and truly seeing
- 13:04
- Children from fertilization as worthy as this of the same laws that protect newborns.
- 13:11
- Let's love our pre born neighbors. Let's fully support House Bill 300.
- 13:17
- Thank you. Thank you,
- 13:28
- Jerry. Next, we'll hear from Pastor Darren Stead. Darren Stead is pastor of Harmony Baptist in Frankfort, Indiana, and he is an assistant director of Operation Save America.
- 13:41
- And so, Darren, would you come forward? Well, from Frankfort, Indiana to Frankfort, Kentucky, I want to begin to this morning by asking you all to say a special prayer for our friends from Arizona and Texas and Oklahoma that are here today.
- 14:12
- They're not used to this kind of weather. We from the north. We just knew we needed to wear our big coats out here today.
- 14:19
- Amen. Praise God. I'm glad to have the opportunity to be with you today. Today my task is to talk to you as the church about loving
- 14:28
- God with regard to what's happening to our pre born neighbors. What does it look like for the church to love the living
- 14:34
- God? This is a concept that's bannered about. It's particularly being bannered about a lot right now.
- 14:41
- We talk a lot about loving God in the church. We have a lot of songs about loving God in the church, but sadly, oftentimes our discussion about loving
- 14:50
- God has very little to do with what the scripture says about loving God. And this year
- 14:56
- I've been doing one of these. Read the Bible through a year plans, and I decided I was gonna do something a little bit different this year.
- 15:01
- I decided I was actually gonna do it. And so I'm a little bit ahead right now.
- 15:07
- I should be in Leviticus, but I'm in Deuteronomy. And, you know, one of the things we always think of Deuteronomy is just a book of a bunch of laws.
- 15:14
- But, you know, the book of Deuteronomy is a book, the second giving of the law to the nation of Israel about how to love
- 15:20
- God. That theme of loving God is all through the book of Deuteronomy.
- 15:25
- I noticed as I've been reading through it, and I just want to read you a few verses from Deuteronomy about loving God. The first one is probably familiar to you.
- 15:32
- It's Deuteronomy six versus four through six. It says this hero Israel, the
- 15:38
- Lord, our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord, your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might.
- 15:45
- These words which I'm commanding you today shall be on your hearts. Now, I want you to notice the correlation here, and you're gonna see this all over the place.
- 15:53
- It talks about loving the Lord, your God, with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. And then it says these commands I'm giving you today are to be on your hearts.
- 16:02
- Now look at Deuteronomy seven nine. It says this now, therefore, I don't know.
- 16:08
- Therefore, that the Lord, your God, he is God, the faithful God who keeps his covenant and his loving kindness to a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commandments.
- 16:20
- You see the correlation there, those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 10 12 says no.
- 16:26
- Now, Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require from you? But to fear the Lord, your
- 16:32
- God, to walk in his ways and love him and to serve your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
- 16:39
- Deuteronomy 35 15 16 says this. See, I have set before you today life and prosperity and death and adversity and that I command you today to love the
- 16:51
- Lord, your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments that you shall live and multiply and that the
- 17:02
- Lord, your God, may bless you in the land where you were entering to possess. Deuteronomy 30 verses 19 and 20 say,
- 17:09
- I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, a blessing and curse.
- 17:18
- So choose life in order that you may live you and your descendants by loving the
- 17:24
- Lord, your God, by obeying his voice and by holding fast to him. For this is your life and the length of your days that you may live in the land which the
- 17:35
- Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give them.
- 17:42
- And you may say, well, that's the Old Testament. But beloved, we don't just believe that the red words of the words of Jesus.
- 17:49
- We believe that all the words of the words of Jesus. And there are ceremonial laws in the old covenant that have been fulfilled in Christ.
- 17:58
- But the persistent theme throughout scripture with regard to God's people loving him is that if we love him, we obey his commands.
- 18:10
- Not in a legalistic sort of a way, not in a we don't believe that we receive righteousness by obeying
- 18:17
- God's commands. Justification is by grace through faith. When a person comes to know
- 18:23
- Jesus Christ and their sins have been forgiven and he becomes the Lord of his of their life and the spirit of God comes in and dwells them and God gives them a new heart.
- 18:33
- He puts into them a desire to obey his commands. But just so that you may know that this is not just the
- 18:41
- Old Testament. Let me remind you yet again what brother Brett said this morning from John 14 15
- 18:47
- Jesus from the words of his own lips said this. If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- 18:57
- What does it mean to love and to worship God? We can't just do it any old way that we want to do it.
- 19:02
- We have to do it the way that he has commanded us to do it. And so I asked you the question today, my friends here in Kentucky, have we loved
- 19:11
- God with regards to what's happening to the pre born in our land? And I would appeal to you this morning that the answer to that question is largely no.
- 19:23
- And my my call this morning is to appeal to you as the Church of Jesus Christ to love
- 19:29
- God today. And I want to show you just very quickly in the minute that I have left here for indictments against the church in America that demonstrate that we have not loved
- 19:39
- God with regard to our pre born neighbor. Number one, we've left
- 19:45
- God out of the entire discussion. For far too long, we have allowed the secular pro life establishment to push us to leave
- 19:54
- God out of the discussion. We don't want to talk about God because then the atheist will be uncomfortable.
- 19:59
- Then the Muslims and the Mormons and so forth will be uncomfortable. Well, I'm sorry, beloved friends, but were it not for God, we would have no just reason to try to oppose abortion to begin with.
- 20:11
- You cannot both love God on the one hand and then leave him out of the discussion where it comes to human beings that are created in his image.
- 20:19
- On the other hand, indictment number two, we have left
- 20:24
- God's law as our moral foundation for justice out of the discussion. This is why you can have people that profess to be followers of Christ say,
- 20:34
- I believe that human beings are created in the image of God and that they are life from the moment of fertilization on the one hand and then on the other hand, try to pass legislation that doesn't treat them like human beings created in the image of God.
- 20:48
- This is why you can have the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission say that they're pro life and maybe that's just the problem.
- 20:56
- They're a bit too pro life, a bit too pro life establishment or your own legislators here in Kentucky.
- 21:05
- Or how about Kentucky right to life with their statement yesterday, Kentucky right to some wives saying we believe that abortion is murder, but we don't think that we should prosecute women.
- 21:19
- How do we come to a place where that happens? We leave God's law out of the discussion. We stop using
- 21:25
- God's laws, the standard by which we establish that which is just and that which is unjust.
- 21:31
- And the reason that we have just injustice in our lands with regards to the slaughter of innocent Children is because we have allowed
- 21:38
- God's law as our moral foundation to be left out of the discussion. The third indictment is we've left ourselves out of the discussion for far too long.
- 21:48
- Christians have been more than happy to just leave it to the experts with regards to the slaughter of innocent Children.
- 21:54
- Beloved no little babies are being murdered in their mother's rooms today.
- 22:00
- Praise God that the abortion mills are closed. I'm glad that the abortion mills are closed. But a baby is no less murdered if their mother takes a pill at home to murder him or her than if they go to an abortion mill to do it right now in the state of Kentucky, a woman can just as easily murder her baby today as she could six months ago.
- 22:21
- And why is that the case? Because we've left ourselves out of the discussion. We've left
- 22:27
- God out. We've left God's standard out, and for far too long we've allowed the professional pro life lobby to take the lead in this discussion.
- 22:36
- And today we say no more. This is a church issue.
- 22:42
- This is a ministry of the gospel issue. This is a preach it from the pulpit issue.
- 22:48
- This is a church show up to the statehouse and lobby politicians every day until they put an end to the shedding of innocent blood issue.
- 22:58
- We don't leave it to the professionals. We kick the professionals out.
- 23:03
- We're placed them with the church of Jesus Christ. Finally, we've left
- 23:11
- God's solution out of the problem. We've left God's solution to the problem out of the discussion.
- 23:18
- You see, if you if you're not willing to tell a woman that when she kills her baby, she's a murderer, then you can't bring
- 23:25
- God's solution to the problem. You see, murder is a sin, and Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for sin.
- 23:33
- And if you don't tell a woman that's murdered her baby that she's guilty of murder, you can't bring the solution of the gospel into the discussion.
- 23:42
- For far too long, we've left the gospel out of the discussion. Christians and for far too long, we've allowed the discussion of the gospel to stay out of the conversation.
- 23:51
- God's solution to the issue of abortion is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a call to repentance to mothers for murdering their
- 23:59
- Children. It is a call to repentance for legislators for being apathetic with regards to the murder of Children on their watch.
- 24:06
- But listen to me, beloved, and I want you to get this before I walk off of this stage. It is a call to repentance for us, because for far too long we've been willing to stand by the wayside and make
- 24:19
- God by the power of his spirit bring us under conviction. If we wait a moment longer, do not get ourselves in this battle to put an end to the shedding of innocent blood.
- 24:32
- If you want to love God with regards to the slaughter of innocent Children today, step number one is repentance.
- 24:41
- It is examining your own heart, recognizing your own apathy. You can't call these people in this house behind me here to repentance.
- 24:49
- If you don't repent yourself first, the message is not you repent in and of itself.
- 24:57
- The message is repent with us. We were wrong.
- 25:03
- You're wrong. We dishonored God. You've dishonored God. Come and repent with us.
- 25:10
- And if you're here this morning and you're a Christian, you haven't repent of your apathy. That's my message to you today. Not I'm up here and you're down here.
- 25:19
- I had to come to a place of repentance for my apathy and have to come to that place on a very regular basis still.
- 25:25
- And I want to invite you today. Church, come and repent with us.
- 25:32
- Turn from your apathy in your heart. Turn from your apathy with your hands and serve
- 25:38
- God this day. Rise up on behalf of the pre born Children in the state of Kentucky.
- 25:43
- Thank you. Thank you,
- 25:55
- Pastor Darren. Next, we'll hear from Wesley Russell. Wesley is pastor of Emmanuel Baptist in Pikeville, Kentucky, and he is a co founder of Abolish Abortion Kentucky.
- 26:06
- And so everyone give it up for Brother Wesley. Darren had the divine privilege of exhorting the first greatest commandment, and I have the privilege of exhorting the second greatest commandment, and that is
- 26:33
- Christians. Love your neighbors as you love yourself.
- 26:39
- And the verse that I want to simply exposit for us this morning is Romans 12 verse nine, and it says,
- 26:46
- Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil.
- 26:52
- Hold fast to what is good. Christian, is your love genuine?
- 27:02
- Do you hate what is evil? Are you holding fast toe?
- 27:10
- What is good? The exhortation from the Lord this morning is to let our love be genuine for our neighbors.
- 27:18
- To not let it be a counterfeit love. The word here that the Holy Spirit has imparted to us means to let your love be without hypocrisy.
- 27:28
- Christian, are you loving hypocritically? It is the purest form of hypocrisy for a
- 27:38
- Christian, for a human being, for an image bearer of God to say that I deserve protection.
- 27:45
- But those in the womb do not. It is the purest form of hypocrisy to look at our pre born neighbors and say that I deserve to be more protected than you.
- 28:01
- And the Lord says that we should not love them hypocritically. But Christ says to love them genuinely to not have some superficial, fake, outward and word only love, but that our hearts, that our souls, that our minds, that our bodies would be devoted to love each other from the moment of fertilization to the moment of natural death.
- 28:36
- The word of the Lord says, let your love be genuine. And then it says to abhor what is evil.
- 28:44
- Do you hear that, Christian? Do not turn a blind eye to what is happening not only in clinics, but in restrooms, in homes, but not only doctors are murdering our neighbors, but mothers and fathers, and they're flushing them down the toilet.
- 29:09
- And I'm here to herald that we must hate evil.
- 29:17
- We should not be apathetic towards it. I echo what Brother Darren said.
- 29:24
- Repent with me. I have been apathetic. Every single one of here, of us here, have been born into darkness.
- 29:33
- We were naturally apathetic. We were naturally engaged in evil, and we repented by the grace of God.
- 29:42
- Christian, love your neighbor. Abhor what is evil. Have nothing to do with it.
- 29:50
- Flee from its appearance and hate evil. But Christian, just as the prophet
- 29:58
- Isaiah said, it is not enough to simply hate evil. Our faith father,
- 30:06
- Jonathan Owens, wrote a historical book called
- 30:12
- The Mortification of Sin, and he says that we must always, you hear that Christian?
- 30:21
- We must always be killing sin, or sin will be killing us. But what we always forget is
- 30:28
- John Owen also talked about the vivification of righteousness. It is not enough to hate what is good, church.
- 30:38
- We must hold fast to what is good. We must not only put to death the evil that encompasses us, but we must vivify righteousness.
- 30:50
- We must bring good to life. Christians, let your love be genuine.
- 31:00
- Hate what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
- 31:08
- In other words, love your pre born neighbors without hypocrisy.
- 31:17
- Hate that they are being murdered and hold fast, hold fast church to what we're doing.
- 31:32
- Do not grow weary. Continue to stir one another up in love.
- 31:40
- Do not quit. Do not waver. Christian, do not compromise.
- 31:48
- Life depends on it. Let your love be genuine.
- 31:54
- Abhor what is evil. Hold fast to what is good. If you're a
- 32:02
- Christian, this is demanded of you. If you're not a
- 32:08
- Christian, this is demanded of you. Daniel Cameron professing
- 32:20
- Christian. This is demanded of you. Andy Bashir professing
- 32:29
- Christian. This is demanded of you. E.
- 32:34
- R. L. C. Professing Christian. This is demanded of you.
- 32:41
- Kentucky right to life. Professing Christian. This is demanded of you.
- 32:50
- Church, this is demanded of you.
- 32:57
- Let your love be genuine. Abhor what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
- 33:07
- Father, we ask you that you would grant us the love that we must have in order to extend it to our neighbors.
- 33:16
- God, we're not here to abolish abortion to the glory of Wesley Russell. We're not here to abolish abortion to the glory of abortion.
- 33:26
- Abolish abortion. Kentucky. We're not here to abolish abortion to the glory of 501
- 33:33
- C threes. We are here to abolish abortion to the glory of your name. And God, as you reign, you must reign until every enemy is subjected under you.
- 33:49
- Even death, even abortion.
- 33:56
- God, we ask that you would do it in the name of your son, Jesus. Amen. Thank you,
- 34:13
- Wesley. Next, we'll hear from Rusty Thomas. Rusty Thomas is the founder and director of Elijah Ministries, and recently he's running the website
- 34:22
- Abolition Strategies dot com. And if you want to learn more about how we might abolish abortion in our land, then visit that website that was abolished or abolition strategies dot com.
- 34:35
- And so, Rusty, would you come and speak with us? Yeah. Good afternoon,
- 34:47
- Saints. Boy, as a Texas boy whose blood has been thin, the frozen chosen has taken on a whole new meaning.
- 34:58
- Whoo! Glory. But it's good to be about our father's business.
- 35:04
- Amen. And I praise the Lord of the opportunity to address you this day.
- 35:12
- My task is to prayerfully speak to those who are outside of the
- 35:22
- Christian faith. The Bible tells us that's a pretty dangerous position to be in, and it's wrought with a lot of hopelessness.
- 35:38
- The Scripture tells us if we're not born again of God's spirit, that we are without hope in this world, that we're without a covenant that comes by a covenant keeping
- 35:55
- God in that we're not a part of the Commonwealth of Israel.
- 36:02
- And it's to this people group. I pray the time I have, I want to speak to and understand a few things, and we've been touching on it all through this rally here today.
- 36:17
- The Lord God of the Bible in the Old Testament, we understand that he took a motley crew.
- 36:28
- He took a people whose only common experience was slavery.
- 36:37
- And from that people group, he raised up a great and a mighty nation that we know as Israel today.
- 36:48
- And as he formed that great nation, he said these words. There's gonna be one standard, one law, one just system for you, my covenant people, my chosen people and for the stranger that is amongst you.
- 37:11
- That is the standard. I am the true and living God. And apart from me, there is no other
- 37:19
- God. Amen. And this is my commandment.
- 37:24
- This is my law. It shall be for you and for the alien amongst you.
- 37:32
- What we know throughout the whole testament, how we know the people of God fell short time and time again.
- 37:43
- They assimilated the pagan idolatry is of the surrounding nations.
- 37:51
- Amen. They went a whoring after other gods. And in those times,
- 37:57
- God raised up prophets as prosecuting attorneys to bring charges against his own people, and he would call them to repentance and the acknowledgement of the truth whereby righteousness would be restored in the land and that God's blessings might rest upon his people.
- 38:24
- But here's the interesting thing. How many know God also raised up prophets and sent them to the surrounding pagan nations?
- 38:36
- They were not God's covenant people. They were not the chosen people.
- 38:43
- They didn't have access to the commonwealth of Israel. But yet God has this idea that he's
- 38:53
- God. And so he would send prophets to the pagan nations, call them to repentance as well.
- 39:06
- Well, why? Because there's one standard. There's one law that shall be for you and the stranger amongst you.
- 39:20
- And how many know Jesus Christ affirmed that in the New Testament? Listen, he said, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
- 39:39
- Notice he didn't say Christians shall not live by bread alone.
- 39:44
- He didn't say church shall not live by bread alone. He said, man generic, the entire human race and what we must comprehend whether you're saved or whether you're lost with your
- 40:02
- Children of light or Children of darkness. God's law word is binding on all men at all times and in every nation.
- 40:18
- Thank you. Got an amen corner over here. I'm getting a little warmed up in here.
- 40:28
- The Bible tells us, listen, the law.
- 40:34
- Word of God is a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.
- 40:44
- It diagnoses what is wrong with us. Amen. The scripture tells us that the law is a mirror and we're to look into that mirror.
- 40:58
- Amen. But how many know that though these things are true, the law of God can not save us.
- 41:10
- We need something far greater to save our depraved souls.
- 41:17
- And the Bible is clear on this. We are saved by grace through faith in our
- 41:26
- Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is the gift of God.
- 41:31
- Should any man boast, there is something about the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus Christ that lays our pride low.
- 41:43
- We are religious people and we have religious pride.
- 41:49
- No matter what religion you adhere to, we are proud religious people.
- 41:56
- And God slays that on the cross and through his resurrection, so critically important for the salvation of our souls.
- 42:09
- So understand God's order here is important.
- 42:19
- I don't keep the law of God to be saved, but because I'm saved,
- 42:29
- I keep the law of God. Amen. I don't do good works to be redeemed, but because I'm redeemed,
- 42:43
- I am zealous to do good works for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- 42:49
- And I am praying today that this is a good work before the
- 42:55
- Lord, our God, as we call both saved and unsaved, to love him with all our hearts, with all our strength, with all our might, and with all that we have, and love our neighbor as ourselves.
- 43:14
- So my appeal to you is from the Scriptures. How many of the
- 43:20
- Bible tells us as Christians we have a ministry of reconciliation? He says it's as if God is giving his appeal through us.
- 43:32
- And understand, guys, we're not superhuman. We are flawed, imperfect vessels up here.
- 43:41
- We're the feet of clay. How many know that's true? You know, somebody said about evangelism, it's like,
- 43:49
- I'm just a beggar who found bread. I'm just a beggar who found water, and I want to show other beggars where to get the bread and get the water.
- 44:00
- Amen? And it's as if God is appealing through us.
- 44:05
- Listen, be reconciled to God based upon the merits of Jesus Christ.
- 44:16
- When the Apostle Paul was preaching to pagans in Greece, he said,
- 44:24
- God, the true and living God commands all men everywhere to repent.
- 44:33
- And that is our appeal here today. The Book of Romans says it very, very clearly.
- 44:41
- Whosoever, listen, whosoever shall call upon the name of the
- 44:48
- Lord shall be saved. He said, believe in your heart that Christ has been raised from the dead and confess with your mouth,
- 45:06
- Jesus Christ is Lord. And that is a belief unto righteousness.
- 45:14
- And it's a confession unto salvation. And so today we pray.
- 45:23
- Today is the day of salvation.
- 45:28
- And I would encourage you to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.
- 45:35
- Repent of your sin and put your faith and trust in Christ and Christ alone and become a son and a daughter of the most high
- 45:50
- God and come join the church in this great battle for the souls of men, the lives of children and the future of this planet.
- 46:00
- Can I get an amen church in Jesus name? God bless you. We're going to sing a mighty fortress.
- 46:20
- Go back to your same sheet you read while ago. We're still close.
- 46:50
- Lord Sabaoth, the Lord of angel armies. That's who we pray to.
- 46:55
- That's who we worship. Let's sing this right here. A mighty fortress is our
- 47:03
- God. Our full work never fails.
- 47:10
- Our helper he amid the floods.
- 47:16
- Our mortal ills prevail. For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe.
- 47:31
- His craft and power are great and armed with cruel hate.
- 47:40
- On earth is not easy. Did we in our own strength confiding would be loose.
- 48:17
- It is we, Lord Sabaoth is named.
- 48:25
- From age to age the same. And he must win of all this world with devil should threaten to undo.
- 48:55
- His truth dunes of darkness grim.
- 49:09
- His rage we can endure. For the little word shall fare.
- 49:38
- And the gifts are on him who with us our hoods and kindred go.
- 49:53
- His mortal life also the body they may give.
- 50:02
- God's truth is the mightiest gift. His kingdom is forever.
- 50:14
- Mighty fortress is our God. Amen. All right, we have one more speaker.
- 50:31
- We will hear our final charge from Stephen Stanley. Stephen is pastor at Redeeming Grace Church in Moreland, Kentucky.
- 50:38
- And so Stephen, would you come forward? I had a nightmare once that I had to follow
- 50:56
- Rusty Thomas at some event. And here we are. But thank you, brother, and thank you all your brothers who brought the word of God today.
- 51:04
- I greatly appreciate it. I'll be brief. Francis Schaefer once said that there should be a sign out in front of every abortion clinic that says open by permission of the church.
- 51:18
- Peter put it this way in 1 Peter 4, 17 judgment begins in the house of God. Who knows better?
- 51:27
- Who knows better than God's church, God's people that life begins at conception?
- 51:35
- Who knows better than God's people that abortion violates the sixth commandment? Who knows better than God's church that we must speak for those who cannot speak for themselves?
- 51:46
- God is calling his church to rise up, to rise up and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.
- 51:56
- And we have a great opportunity before us here in Kentucky with HB 300 prenatal
- 52:03
- Equal Protection Act. You know, when the slavery of our African American brothers and sisters was going on, they were activists who said they were against slavery, but supported legislation that did not do away with slavery, did not abolish slavery, did not give equal protection under the law to them, but simply regulated slavery.
- 52:30
- And some Christian abolitionists stood up and said, no, no, absolutely not.
- 52:38
- Absolutely not. And those abolitionists said that our
- 52:46
- African American brothers and sisters should be freed, that slavery should be abolished, done away with, not regulated.
- 52:58
- And these abolitionists couldn't even set foot in the Deep South without threats of death and violence.
- 53:08
- We don't have that excuse for our silence. This nation said that the black man was less than human.
- 53:18
- And what do we as a nation say of the unborn? It's just tissue.
- 53:25
- It's just a clump of cells. It's not a baby. All of a sudden we learn Latin. It's a fetus.
- 53:33
- And just as our black brothers and sisters are precious image bearers of God, so are the unborn.
- 53:39
- And we have the blood of over 60 million innocent babies on our hands.
- 53:45
- And that blood cries out from the ground to God. And you want to know what they say to him?
- 53:52
- They say with the saints, I believe, in Revelation chapter 6, How long, O Lord, holy and true, will you refrain from burning the earth?
- 54:03
- Ultimately, we don't need more unjust, incremental, pro -life legislation.
- 54:11
- First and foremost, we need repentance. With abortion, just as we did with slavery, abolish it completely.
- 54:18
- Politics is the art of compromise, is it not? Political compromise has given us unjust laws like parental notification, parental consent, 24 -hour waiting, fetal pain legislation, partial birth, abortion ban, 20 -week abortion ban.
- 54:38
- And all of those carry with them the unwritten caveat that after you notify the parents, after you receive the parents' consent, after you wait 24 hours, after you anesthetize the baby, or as long as it's in the first trimester, then you can kill the baby.
- 54:59
- Satan would sign those bills. And despite Roe v. Wade being overturned in 2022, which
- 55:06
- I am thankful for, abortions are still happening at the same pace as they were in previous years.
- 55:15
- Remember, overturning Roe does not abolish abortion. It does not overturn it. It just puts the issue back into the state's hands.
- 55:22
- Right now in Kentucky, because we had a trigger law in place, which I am, as Pastor Jerry Doris said, we're very thankful for, we praise
- 55:30
- God for that, that they had the foresight to do that. But these moms are being referred to out of state, right?
- 55:39
- They're being sent out of state. And, of course, the trigger laws are being contested. And as you know, the constitutional amendment that we tried for failed in Kentucky.
- 55:50
- But with HB 300, the Prenatal Equal Protection Act, we have an opportunity to truly protect our unborn neighbors.
- 56:00
- And so with that, I charge you to rescue those who are being taken away to death, to hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.
- 56:11
- And if you say, behold, we do not know this, does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
- 56:17
- Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it? And will he not repay man according to his work?
- 56:22
- What work? The work of mercy? The work of justice? The work of caring for the oppressed and defending the unborn?
- 56:32
- The good work of loving the unborn? I charge you today to love your unborn neighbor as yourself.
- 56:40
- I charge you to not pass by your unborn neighbor on the other side of the road, but to show real, tangible, practical love for your unborn neighbor.
- 56:50
- I charge you to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God. My beloved brothers and sisters, go in the power of the
- 57:01
- Holy Spirit to the work which God, through His church, has called you as a servant of the
- 57:08
- Lord Jesus Christ. Do not be ashamed of the gospel and of testifying about our
- 57:13
- Lord, and take your share of the suffering for the gospel and the power of God who saved us and called us with a holy calling.
- 57:22
- I charge you today to go stand and speak to the people in the temple the whole message of this life.
- 57:30
- I charge you today to get behind HB 300. And tell everyone you know.
- 57:37
- Amen? Let's pray. I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
- 57:45
- Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them as their
- 57:52
- God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more. Neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore for the former things have passed away.
- 58:03
- And he who is seated on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new. Write these down, for these words are trustworthy and true.
- 58:14
- Most loving Lord Jesus, your loud voice and your tear -wiping hand together give us gospel courage and compassion that we need to live as advocates for human life in all of its expressions.
- 58:27
- Today, Lord, we especially think about the lives of the unborn and the constant threat to those lives.
- 58:33
- But all your promises are trustworthy and true. And so we will neither despair nor retreat in the face of unconscionable evil and overwhelming need.
- 58:47
- Jesus, give us gospel courage to contend against the taking of our unborn neighbor's lives in this state and in this nation.
- 58:55
- And because you are making all things new, Lord, we will continue the good fight of faith for the children who are still being knit together in their mother's womb.
- 59:04
- Lord, there is a day coming. There is a day coming, Lord, when abortion will be no more.
- 59:10
- But in light of that day, give us wisdom, give us strength, give us fire. Give us perseverance, give us grace that we need to advocate for unborn children.
- 59:23
- We cry out, Lord, for gospel compassion. Show us how to love and care for the men and women whose stories are marred by abortion.
- 59:31
- Only the gospel is sufficient for the guilt. Only the gospel can bring healing. Only the gospel can open blind eyes.
- 59:40
- How long, Lord Jesus, before the last abortion? How long,
- 59:46
- O Lord? Until that day, we also ask for the compassion to love our unborn neighbors, love that takes action.
- 59:56
- Lord, that we would put feet to this rally. Forgive us, Lord, for being silent for so long.
- 01:00:02
- Grant us repentance. Grant this nation repentance. Heal our land and rise up your church.
- 01:00:09
- We ask, Lord, that you would so influence our legislators to pass this bill that we would see an end to abortion once and for all in this great state of Kentucky.
- 01:00:21
- And it's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Thank you, brother.
- 01:00:33
- Well, brothers and sisters, we've heard a lot today. We've heard several calls to action.
- 01:00:40
- And now your voice is needed. You need to speak with your representatives. If you're able to, you need to speak with your family and friends and try to pull some more support for this movement.
- 01:00:54
- And we thank you for coming out today. That's a great step in that direction. And so before we leave, if all of my
- 01:01:02
- Christian brothers and sisters would raise their hands, we'll receive a benediction before we go home.
- 01:01:10
- The Lord bless thee and keep thee. The Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee.
- 01:01:16
- The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace. And so receive the name of our
