His name is Chris Reid, and Chris Reid is the typical, I mean, quintessential, greasy, charlatan, huckster who runs around with fake signs, fake wonders, and he's not even a good mentalist is the best way

I can put it. Claiming to be a prophet and receiving words from God, instead, he's just somebody who engages in really poorly executed, cheap magic tricks, mentalism to be exact.

So, what we're going to do today, we are going to head over to Morningstar Ministries, and we're going to take a look at the

YouTube channel for Chris Reid, and we're going to note that what we're going to watch is thoroughly unimpressive, because back in the day,

I liked magic. I learned a few magic tricks when I was in high school and things like this. And mentalism was one of these things

I loved to plink around with. I was never really good at it, but it was kind of fun being able to fool people into thinking that I could read their minds or things like this, when in fact

I wasn't. This is exactly what Chris Reid is doing, and we'll do a little comparative work along the way.

Okay, now a little bit of a note here. Mentalism is, again, one of those fun things that magic, that magicians do.

But even somebody like the atheist Penn Jillette, he knows full well that anybody who uses the illusions of magic or the tricks of magic and mentalism to make it appear like they have some kind of special, unique, supernatural gift or whatever, those people are charlatans.

And even Penn Jillette would note that. Remember the amazing Randy? This is a guy who is a magician who set about to debunk guys like Chris Reid.

Now, I don't have the chops of the amazing Randy or Penn Jillette.

It's been decades since I've really done anything that he even remotely looks like magic. But all that being said,

I know a few, I know a few things. I know a few things. And I can say that what we're going to be looking at here, it is not prophecy.

No, this is poorly executed mentalism. And good mentalists are entertaining.

They're entertaining. Chris Reid isn't. So let's watch part of this and see what we can make of it.

The School of the Prophets, Friday evening session. Yeah. No New Testament prophet ever had to go to school to learn how to be a prophet.

Yeah. We'll talk about that more too. So we're off to a really bad start. And, um, and then here after a bit, after I'm done ministering,

I'm not going to be the one that giving only, the only one, excuse me, giving prophetic words.

But, uh, we're going to see some of the students give some prophetic words and people are going to see.

Prophecy students, really? All right. Time to pull up a Bible. All right. 1st Corinthians chapter 12, important text.

Uh, now there are varieties of gifts, but the same spirit, there are varieties of service, but the same Lord, there are varieties of activities, but it is the same

God who empowers them all in everyone to each is given the manifestation of the spirit for the common good.

So you'll note that God gives gifts for the purpose of building up the body of Christ. Tongues is a sign gift.

It's not a gift that is used for the purpose of building up the body of Christ, unless there's a valid interpreter of the tongue.

Uh, for to one is, watch the word, given. Greek word didomi, given to one is given through the spirit, the utterance of wisdom and another, the utterance of knowledge, according to the same spirit to another faith by the same spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one spirit, to another, the working of miracles, to another prophecy given.

You don't have to go to school to be a prophet. If you legitimately have a prophetic gift now, whether or not that gift still exists on the earth today, we'll just leave that up for debate.

It's not the topic of this, uh, of this video, but if you legitimately had a gift of prophecy, it would have been given by the

Holy Spirit. You wouldn't have to register for Chris Reed's school of the prophets. That's just nonsense.

And you're going to note here, not everybody has the same gift. Uh, and so you'll note that, uh, the, the whole point of first Corinthians 12 is that God gives varieties of gifts.

Now verse, and then chapter 12 ends with these words. Now you are the body of Christ. Individually, you're members of it.

And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping administrating in various kinds of tongues.

Are all apostles, me pontes apostoloi? No. The may here in the

Greek absolutely rules that out. Are all prophets, me pontes prophetai? May means no.

No, not all are prophets. So we, we got some big problems and how, how many, how, how many seconds into this are we?

And it's not even well done. It's not even entertaining. See that it is possible for them to step up and speak, uh, the voice of God in that moment.

I want to take a look at real quick here. And I don't think I queued this one up ahead of time. So let me do this.

I'm going to duplicate this tab and just going to take a look at Exodus chapter 20.

Important words. You shall not take the name of Yahweh your

God in vain for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. When you give a false word, words that God has not given, and you blame those words on God, you are carrying his name into falsehood, into vanity, into meaninglessness.

And you are breaking this commandment. Everybody who sets out to learn how to get prophetic words and then does what

Chris Reed is doing. They are breaking this commandment and they are taking

God's name in vain. That's how serious this is. God will not hold people guiltless who do these things.

You better be careful because when you sin against another human being, a

God and Christ is there to mediate for you for sure. But when you're sinning grievously against God and breaking this commandment,

Oftentimes when it comes to this kind of nonsense, keep that in mind. Keep that in mind.

Because she's no longer the Prime Minister of the UK. She lasted how many weeks? I shared it again in January of 2022.

Well, then abruptly, unexpectedly, in July, Boris Johnson resigned. And then, I don't know, for about two or three months or something like that, the

Conservative Party, who controlled the government, then brought forth several candidates. I don't know, it was like eight or nine of them, and then that party voted, brought it down to two, and then—

So, he sees this as confirmation of his prophetic word. Uh, Liz Truss. Yeah, Elizabeth Truss, uh -huh.

How many weeks did she last? She ain't the Prime Minister anymore. She didn't get to do anything in order to be compared to anybody.

Elizabeth Truss was made the Prime Minister, and what was so unique about this prophetic word is it was uniquely highlighted for weeks, because the very last thing

Queen Elizabeth did in her duties in her 70 -year reign as the monarch of the UK is she appointed

Liz Truss, okay? So, one Elizabeth to another, so to speak. Elizabeth— Now, this is the buildup, because he's going to now springboard into one of the online students and say the

Elizabeth thing, Mary Elizabeth, the name itself has some significance, prophetic significance for a word that he's apparently gotten from the

Holy Spirit for one of the online students. Mary Windsor, the Queen, that's her birth name, appointed

Lord said to me, he said, remember a time in history when the names

And so one of them, the Queen's name is— What was so prophetically significant of that? Elizabeth Mary, and Liz Truss's name is

Mary Elizabeth. So those two names, it's like flipped, but same first and middle names, just the one that, you know, they're flipped.

Now let's talk a little bit more about scripture, shall we? So what

Chris Reid is doing is he is taking the name of God in vain, blaming God for his poor mentalism performance.

It's just, it's unbelievable. But we're going to note something here. False signs and false wonders are actually mentioned in the scripture.

One of the places that they're mentioned is in 2 Thessalonians 2, which is a prophecy regarding the rise of the

Antichrist, the man of lawlessness. So here's what Paul prophesying in the

Holy Spirit says. And boy, this is really impressive prophecy, by the way. Really impressive compared to Chris Reid's mentalism act.

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you brothers not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word or a letter seeming to be from us to the effect that the day of Yahweh or the day of the

Lord has already come. Let no one deceive you in any way for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first. The apostasy, we're in it right now, by the way.

The rebellion comes first. This is the rebellion against God within the visible body of Christ.

Paul also talks about this in 1 Timothy 4. The Spirit expressly says that in the latter times, some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared.

I would note that anybody who would dare to use mentalism, poorly executed, by the way, not even entertainingly done mentalism, but that would use the tricks of mentalism for the purpose of creating the con that God, the

Holy Spirit is speaking to them, that false impression, that qualifies as somebody who's insincere and who are liars and whose consciences are seared.

Chris Reed fits the bill, and I would note this. The Apostle Paul prophesied this 2 ,000 years ago.

Impressive indeed how the Holy Spirit gave him such specific data regarding the day that we are in.

He practically warned us about Chris Reed. Yep, yeah,

I would note the Apostle Paul truly could prophesy. Coming back then to 2

Thessalonians, all right, for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first. Then, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so -called

God or object of worship so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be

God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things, and you know what's restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time?

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who restrains it will do so until he's out of the way. Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the

Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. So, the coming of the lawless one, and here's the interesting bit here, watch this, the coming of the lawless one, the

Antichrist himself, is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders.

False signs, false wonders. This is a false sign and a false wonder.

And Paul says it's this kind of stuff that is paving the way for the man of lawlessness and the

Antichrist. Keep that in mind, okay? The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power, false signs and wonders, with all wicked deception for those who are perishing because they refuse to love the truth and so be saved.

Therefore, God sends them a strong delusion. If you think that this is the

Holy Spirit speaking, you are strongly deluded. And I would note, Scripture is saying that this is a judgment of God on you, okay?

Therefore, God sends a strong delusion so that they may believe what is false in order that they may be condemned who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

So, take this as a warning. This man, what he's doing here, he is an insincere liar whose consciences are seared.

He's using mentalism, poorly executed mentalism, for the purpose of creating the false impression that he's hearing from God, the

Holy Spirit, while teaching a group of people how to be prophets. When Scripture clearly says that if you're a prophet,

God has given you that gift. You don't have to go to school for it.

And he's not teaching them how to hear the voice of God. He's deceiving them. Oh, it gets even worse, by the way.

For false prophets like Chris Reed, he would do well to pay attention to Ezekiel 13 and repent.

Ezekiel 13, the word of Yahweh came to me. Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, who are prophesying and say to those who prophesy from their own hearts.

Where are they prophesying from? Their own hearts. Hear the word of Yahweh. Thus says

Yahweh Elohim. Woe to the foolish prophets who have followed their own spirit and they have seen nothing.

Chris Reed isn't hearing from the Holy Spirit. He's making this up. This is a performance, poorly executed, right?

He's seen nothing. Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, oh Israel. You have not gone up into the breaches or built a wall for the house of Israel that it might stand in the battle in the day of Yahweh.

They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say declares the

Lord when the Lord has not sent them. And yet they expect Him, God, to fulfill their word.

Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination?

Whoever you have, whenever you have said declares the Lord, although I have not spoken. Therefore, thus says the

Lord God, because you have uttered falsehood and you've seen lying visions. Therefore behold,

I am against you declares the Lord God. My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who give lying divinations.

They shall not be in the council of my people. They shall nor be enrolled in the register of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter the land of Israel.

And you shall know that I am the Lord God, precisely because they have misled my people saying peace when there is no peace.

And because when the people build a wall, these prophets smear it with whitewash. Say to those who smear it with whitewash that it shall fall.

There will be a deluge of rain and you, oh, great hailstones will fall and a stormy wind breakout.

And when the wall falls, will it not be said to you, where is the coating with which you smeared it?

Therefore, thus says the Lord God, I will make a stormy wind breakout in my wrath and there shall be a deluge of rain in my anger and great hailstones in wrath to make a full end.

And I will break down the wall that you have smeared with whitewash and bring it down to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare.

When it falls, you shall perish in the midst of it. And you shall know that I am Yahweh. Thus, I will,

I spend my wrath upon the wall and upon those who have smeared it with a whitewash. And I will say to you, the wall is no more nor those who smeared it.

The prophets of Israel who prophesied concerning Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her, when there was no peace, declares the

Lord God. So, you got to note, God doesn't take too kindly. I would, these false prophets of the time of Jeremiah, the time of the exile, they serve as a warning to today's false prophets.

Their end will be the same. You are taking God's name in vain. You are saying you've seen a vision or heard the voice of God, when

God isn't talking to you and he's not showing you nothing. Right? Jeremiah talks quite bluntly about these things.

When he prophesies against the false prophets, he says, let's see here.

Where do I want to start here? Thus says Yahweh of armies, Sava, do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to filling you with vain hopes.

They speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of Yahweh. They say continually to those who despise the word of Yahweh, it shall be well with you.

Everyone who stubbornly follows his own heart, they say, no disaster shall come upon you. For who among them has stood in the council of Yahweh to see and to hear his word or who has paid attention to his word and listened?

So behold the storm of Yahweh. Wrath has gone forth, a whirling tempest. It will burst upon the head of the wicked.

The anger of Yahweh will not turn back until he has executed and accomplished the intents of his heart. In the latter days, you will understand clearly.

I did not send the prophets and God did not send Chris Reed. Yet they ran.

I didn't speak to them. Yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people.

Who think to make my people forget my name by their dreams that they tell one another, even as their fathers forgot my name for all.

So let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream, but let him who has my word speak it faithfully.

And that's, you know, that's, is Chris Reed faithfully speaking God's word, the
