This Is Super Weird...

That needs to be our motto, bring your hoes to church.

To sing that when you are supposed to be preaching God's word, the cringe is over 9 ,000.

Are you suggesting that there are men in your congregation who have hoes that they should bring to church?

Bring your hoes to church.

Where's his Bible? There's no Bible here. Preach the word. You don't have to be clever, you don't have to be cool. God's people, if in fact you're speaking to God's people, they are fed by the truth of his word.

Pastoral Ministry Is Feeding the Sheep with the Word

Jesus tells Peter, feed my sheep. Not by singing there is hoes in this house, but by exegeting the scriptures, the faith once for all delivered to the saints contained in the pages of our Bible. This is an epic fail.

Welcoming Sinners Without Affirming Sin

Now if all he's trying to say is you are welcome to come as you are to hear a sermon, to sing or to worship Jesus together with the saints, then that's an acceptable message. I tell people that all the time when I am out doing evangelism in public, that you're welcome to come as you are to worship Jesus with us.

But make no mistake, you will not come being affirmed in your sin. Church is a community that used to be identifying with their sin. Such were some of you, Paul says to the church at Corinth. The only hoes a part of your church should be retired.
