- 00:48
- info at karm .org, and in the subject line, just put in a karm question,
- 00:56
- I mean, radio question, radio comments. That's all you've got to do. All right, let's see. Looking inside of Clubhouse, don't have anything going on there, and we're broadcasting out to Facebook also and onto YouTube to Matt Slick -Live.
- 01:14
- Now, we've got to inquire about that because they booted me or suspended me for a while, something like that, and I don't know what it says, what the reason was, but they do that.
- 01:25
- And it's supposed to be for a couple of weeks. It's been like two months, so I don't know. Maybe they don't like me when
- 01:30
- I say stuff, but, you know, whatever. That's what it is. Hey, if you want to give me a call, 877 -207 -2276.
- 01:41
- And I'm thinking about tomorrow night, Wednesday, about doing a live video thing where I do that.
- 01:51
- I did it last week. It was impromptu to have a discussion with some people to see if people would like to discuss various theological aspects because there's some anti's in certain areas.
- 02:00
- And I thought, I'm going to give this a try, and it worked out pretty well. And so I was thinking about doing that again tomorrow night.
- 02:07
- So there you go. You know, I'm just checking things out, and hopefully people would be interested. If you're interested,
- 02:14
- I might put it on the calendar. If I decide to do it or not, I'll let you know pretty soon, like tonight or tomorrow.
- 02:20
- You know, I would, you know, pancake. All right. Having said all of that, do we have nobody waiting? What I can do is
- 02:28
- I can get on, let's see, we've got this going, make sure it's working.
- 02:35
- Oh, you're working, okay, okay. What I'll do, I'm looking at everything, I'm making sure everything's okay, and all the tech stuff we got going is all right because we've got a lot of tech stuff going.
- 02:46
- So we're broadcasting to Rumble. If you want to watch the show and participate with the chatters and the texters, all you have to do is go to rumble .com
- 02:54
- forward slash Matt Slick live, all one word, and you can check that out.
- 03:03
- And I got some emails from her to get to, but I was just thinking, I've been working on articles trying to get one out every other day.
- 03:10
- And so I've got an article in front of me which is scheduled to release tomorrow. Can AI, artificial intelligence, become a god?
- 03:19
- Someone asked about that, and I decided to write an article on it, and so I did.
- 03:24
- It turned into, you know, not one of my shorter ones, but not one of my longer ones either. So there's that, and that'll be released tomorrow.
- 03:33
- Let's see, what else? There's something else, but I can't remember what it is. It's been on my heart lately to preach the gospel.
- 03:47
- And let's just say that with that desire to preach
- 03:56
- God's word and to talk about the Lord Jesus Christ, as imperfect as I am, boy
- 04:03
- I'll tell you, I really am, but what a privilege it is to be able to speak of him.
- 04:11
- And so I've been in various chat rooms. I do this a lot. I go into a lot of chat rooms in different places.
- 04:16
- I'll go into Clubhouse, I'll go into Discord, sometimes into Facebook stuff. I'll do messenger discussions.
- 04:25
- I've done different ones over the years. I need to get into TikTok. I've got a guy I know. I need to do that.
- 04:30
- I've got to figure out how to get into all that stuff. I need someone to sit me down and just do this, do this, do this. Well anyway, so one of the things, this is just me thinking out loud, but one of the things
- 04:44
- I've noticed about the gospel and the Catholics and the gospel and the East Orthodox is they can't tell you what the gospel is.
- 04:55
- And it's really simple, a really simple observation, but they can't tell you. They don't know what it is.
- 05:02
- And I've had some, however, I've had some say, well, the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus.
- 05:08
- I said, okay, okay, that works. Is that faith in that enough?
- 05:13
- And that's where, you know, they say no, it's not. So they really don't know the gospel. And I've been preaching it more.
- 05:22
- And here's something that's interesting. Two interesting things happen a lot of times when I start preaching the gospel.
- 05:28
- One is immediately something will happen to stop the presentation of the gospel.
- 05:35
- I'll be talking and it'll be an internet glitch. I'll be talking, all of a sudden someone will come into a room who's never been in there and will just start talking and won't go away and disrupts everything.
- 05:49
- It's really strange and it's happened a lot. And another time, not another time, but another category of things happening, and it's equally as interesting to me, is
- 06:01
- I'll start preaching the gospel and the room goes quiet. And I believe it's because they're listening.
- 06:08
- And I'm not saying I'm a great preacher. I'm not saying that. It's just preaching the gospel. And anybody can do that.
- 06:14
- And so I've noticed those two extremes usually happen. It's either complete silence and I have this uninterrupted time of just preaching the gospel, or it's immediate that something happens to stop it.
- 06:28
- And it's not like much in between where a little bit of disruption. It's either one or the other, all or nothing.
- 06:34
- It's kind of interesting. That's right, champ, the barber, broken cup.
- 06:42
- That's right. And I'm more of a broken vessel. And that's becoming more and more obvious to me the older I get.
- 06:52
- And you know, I look at my past failures. I look at what I am and what I have been, the things
- 06:58
- I've done, the things I've failed at and still do. And then I think what I get to do for a living and what
- 07:05
- I know about the Lord and be able to preach and teach. And I'm kind of confused because maybe some of you out there, some of you could relate to this, but sometimes
- 07:21
- I wonder, what was God thinking when he saved me and decided to bless me with this idea, this ministry of being able to speak to people, to write articles, to produce a website, to debate, to try and teach and promote his word and truth.
- 07:44
- I'm not saying I got it all down, I'm not saying I do it perfectly, I'm not saying look at me. But I am saying, oh my goodness, what was he thinking?
- 07:52
- I mean, you know, it's like, does he really know what he was doing? There's so many better people out there, you know, with better hearts and better attitudes.
- 08:03
- But it's how it is. You know, God is strange in his ways.
- 08:08
- As the Bible says, his ways are far above us. Maybe it's because he likes to use broken, damaged vessels for his glory.
- 08:18
- And if that's the case, then it would make sense that he would use someone who was broken, who's messed up, you know, who moved 26 times before he was 12 years old, went to 12 different elementary schools, had a dysfunctional family, very dysfunctional, and didn't stop having dreams of being murdered until he was 35.
- 08:43
- Now, if that's not a broken vessel with a lot of cracks and some missing elements, I don't know what is.
- 08:49
- And yet God has been merciful to speak through such a broken vessel. And I'm not trying to lift myself up, don't think that, it's just for the glory of God.
- 08:58
- And look what he can do. You know, I have Asperger's and a lot of faults and a lot of failures.
- 09:05
- And my friends who know me, they've known me for years, they know them and they still love me. They still put up with me, you know,
- 09:12
- I get in the car, they know I can have the radio on while I'm in the car with them because they can't process the sounds. They know that I get overloaded in certain situations and it's what it is.
- 09:22
- And they're like, okay, and they don't care. It's just what it is. Yeah, you're messed up, man, but we love you anyway.
- 09:28
- You know, think about this with yourself, for those who are out there.
- 09:35
- Maybe you want to be used by God, and you certainly can. Maybe you think you're too broken, well, no, you're not.
- 09:44
- You know, one of my daughters is, I've used this analogy, she's a genius, this is no joke, she really is a serious, she's a certified genius when it comes to art.
- 09:54
- She can draw things with pencils, you're like, are you kidding, is that a photo? She's like that.
- 10:00
- And I've got stuff I've shown people and their jaws just drop open. She did that, yeah, with one pencil, you know, well, she could take a broken pencil, a piece of crud, broken pencil, that's no good, and she can draw masterpieces with it.
- 10:15
- That's what God is like. You can take broken vessels and make masterpieces with them, and I know, and I want to say this for encouragement for you out there, that if you consider yourself broken, messed up, insufficient,
- 10:30
- God can't use you, then you're wrong. He can take the most broken thing and make a beautiful work of art.
- 10:40
- What you do to have that happen is relinquish yourself to Him, relinquish, you release your heart to Him, and your mind, and your hands, and your feet, and your words, and you know you're going to mess up in all of that, but you give to Him as much as you can of what you are, you surrender yourself, and you say,
- 11:03
- I don't care what you have to do with me, or to me, or where you've got to send me, or what condition
- 11:10
- I'm in, but could you please use me, whatever capacity you desire, for your glory.
- 11:19
- And sometimes I think, well, if God's got to use someone like myself, then it must be pretty bad out there, because man, he's scraping the bottom of the barrel.
- 11:28
- Maybe some of you think the same kind of a thing. Maybe you think, yeah, you're just not usable. I know for a fact that's not true.
- 11:36
- I know for a fact it isn't true. I know that God can take a broken item, broken person, and He can make you shine.
- 11:47
- He can make you shine in the world, and He can make you shine in ways that you'll recognize, and in ways you won't, until you get to heaven, and you go, that was you?
- 11:58
- Oh wow. So I just want to say that what you can do, and I would urge you to do it, is just get on your knees, relinquish your will and your heart to Him, and just ask
- 12:12
- Him to use you, wherever you are, whatever capacity. And it doesn't mean you've got to be on radio, but it might mean while you're washing dishes, it might mean while you're ricking the yard, who knows?
- 12:26
- But He can use you, and just ask Him to. Just ask
- 12:32
- Him. And remember, He's the One who is the Master. He is the One. And you also have to remember one more thing.
- 12:39
- Habakkuk 2 .4 says, the just shall live by faith. The just are those who are declared righteous by faith.
- 12:47
- Shall live is what we do in our lives, and by faith is how we do it. We look to Christ, we look to God, and we ask
- 12:56
- Him to anoint our words, our actions, in spite of our sin, in spite of our pride, in spite of our selfishness, our lust, our egos, and we say,
- 13:08
- Lord, please, would you use me anyway? And that's what you have to do. That's what you have to do.
- 13:14
- And He'll do it. Okay? It may take a bit, it may change you a little, but it'll work.
- 13:23
- Well, anyway, not that big a deal, I just was thinking about that, I've been thinking about some stuff lately. A lot of stuff's been coming up, and, you know, self -reflection's a good thing, but what a privilege it is to be able to speak to you.
- 13:36
- What a privilege it is to be able to teach and preach His Word. An incredible privilege. Praise God.
- 13:42
- And you have the same privilege. Just relinquish yourself to Him, and watch what He can do with you and through you.
- 13:48
- Hey, we'll be right back after these messages. We'll get to Derek and then Alberto. We have two open lines, 877 -207 -2276.
- 13:57
- We'll be right back. It's Matt Slick Live!
- 14:09
- Taking your calls at 877 -207 -2276. Here's Matt Slick.
- 14:16
- All right, everyone, welcome back to the show. And, if you want to give me a call, all you have to do is dial 877 -207 -2276.
- 14:25
- You can email me at info at CARM .org, C -A -R -M dot O -R -G.
- 14:30
- Just put CARM question or, excuse me, radio question, radio comment in the subject line, and we'll get to you.
- 14:37
- Let's get to Derek from Virginia. Derek, welcome. You are on the air. Hi, Matt.
- 14:43
- How are you doing today? Oh, going through stuff, but I'm doing okay, by God's grace.
- 14:50
- That's right. Well, I want to encourage you. I'm pretty sure God has you where He wants you, because I'm glad I found you on the radio.
- 14:57
- It's been a blessing for me. Well, praise God. Good. I'm glad. Okay. Yeah, I just had a question.
- 15:07
- I was, you know, in our church, this is kind of a question as far as, like, pre -tribulational millennialism versus, like, post -tribulational millennialism.
- 15:18
- I've always been taught that we will be gone, you know, in the rapture before the tribulation.
- 15:28
- And our pastor, I think he's, like, maybe 85 % sure, you know, that we'll be gone before, which
- 15:38
- I'm hoping that's what it is. But I just kind of wanted to get your take on it and kind of see your thoughts on that.
- 15:46
- Yeah, I hope he's right. I don't believe he is, but I hope he's right. Here, let me share something with you, okay?
- 15:53
- All right? Yeah. So this is Matthew 24, okay? Starting at verse 1,
- 15:59
- Jesus came out of the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him.
- 16:05
- He said, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another which will not be torn down.
- 16:12
- As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately saying, Lord, tell us, you're going to ask two things, when will these things happen and what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?
- 16:26
- That verse, Matthew 24, 3, is critical. There's two things that they asked about, and the end of the age, the consummation of the age.
- 16:38
- Now, the reason that's important is because there's only two ages, this age and the age to come.
- 16:44
- Have you ever heard of that? Division? This age and the age to come? Right. Okay, good.
- 16:50
- Because in this age, blasphemy is not forgiven. We are given in marriage.
- 16:58
- There's a present in this evil age, et cetera. In the age to come, blasphemy also is not forgiven, but we receive eternal life, the fullness of it, of course.
- 17:08
- There's no marriage in the age to come. There's a power and superiority of God in the age to come. There's a division.
- 17:15
- All right. In a pre -tribulation rapture view, what happens is two men are in the field, one is left, right?
- 17:23
- Right. That's not the rapture. Yeah. That's not the rapture. Did you know that?
- 17:30
- I did not know that. Let me prove to you, not suggest, but I'll prove it to you that it's not.
- 17:37
- When I say prove, I mean 100 % of the time when I've shown people this, 100 % of the time they've all agreed it's not about the rapture.
- 17:47
- 100%. Okay. Let's see if you can break that, okay? Okay. Because what he says is, for the coming of the
- 17:54
- Son of Man, this is Matthew 24, 37, for the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.
- 18:01
- For in those days before the flood, they were eating. Now, the question is, who's the people who were eating, okay, and drinking?
- 18:08
- They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark. And they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away.
- 18:18
- Who were the ones taken? Who were the ones taken? The ones that were on beds, yeah.
- 18:24
- The bad people, right? Right, yeah. Yeah. In fact, in Luke 17, it says this.
- 18:33
- It says, two men in a field, I mean, it says, as it was the days of Noah, so shall it be the days of the coming of the
- 18:39
- Son of Man. They were eating, they were drinking, and they did not understand until the flood came in, destroyed them all.
- 18:48
- So the ones who were eating and drinking, being given in marriage are the wicked. Because that's what
- 18:54
- Luke 17 says. Right. Okay. And they're the ones who were taken, right?
- 19:01
- Right. Two men will be in the field, one will be taken. So who's taken? The wicked.
- 19:12
- Huh. Yeah. Because, look, I'll show you this.
- 19:19
- So we'll understand, I'll read it again, and you'll understand that it's about the wicked who were taken.
- 19:25
- For as in those days before the flood, they were eating, the wicked, were eating and drinking, marrying, and given in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark.
- 19:32
- They did not understand until the flood came and took them all away. So will the coming of the Son of Man be. There'll be two men in the field, one will be taken, one will be left.
- 19:42
- So who's taken? The wicked. The wicked. That's what it is. Now, what's really bizarre, oh, this is great, this is what's really bizarre.
- 19:54
- Let me go back to Matthew 24 .3, and I'll show you something, and I'm going to go to Matthew 13. All right? And so he says, they asked, tell us when will these things happen and what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?
- 20:10
- All right. So he talks about lawlessness will increase, the abomination of desolation will occur, whoever's in the field must not turn back to get his cloak, woe to those who are pregnant and nursing, lest those days be cut short, no flesh would be left.
- 20:29
- Whoa, is that the preacher of rapture? No, it's not. False Christ and false prophets will arise and deceive many, flee to the wilderness.
- 20:41
- Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of the heavens will be shaken, and then the
- 20:51
- Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory, and they will send forth his angels with a great trumpet, and they'll gather together his elect from the four winds.
- 21:06
- The wind of the elect gathered after the tribulation by Jesus' own words.
- 21:13
- All right? But wait, there's more. All right?
- 21:19
- This is Matthew 13, the parable of the tares on the wheat.
- 21:24
- You know, the tares, the bad guy sows the tares out in the field, you know, and throws up among the wheat.
- 21:30
- Should we tear them up? And Jesus says in verse 30, allow both to go together until the harvest. In the time of the harvest,
- 21:36
- I'll say to the reapers, first gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them.
- 21:44
- Gather the wheat into the barn. So who's the first ones gathered? The tares.
- 21:50
- The tares. Is that right? Then when you go to verse 40, he interprets everything.
- 21:58
- Just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age.
- 22:05
- So it's at the end of the age. Now, wait a minute. In pre -tribulation, pre -millennialism,
- 22:12
- I'm going to mess people up here. What they're saying is there's a rapture, then seven -year tribulation, then
- 22:17
- Jesus returns, then there's a thousand -year reign of Christ, and then the new heavens and new earth are made, right?
- 22:25
- Right. So now what I'm going to do is go to 1 Thessalonians 4, 16.
- 22:31
- I'm going to start reading. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
- 22:41
- Oh, there's the break. So hold the thought. After the break, I'm going to read you this and something else, and I'm going to hopefully really mess you up.
- 22:51
- Okay. All right, Derek? Okay. So if you don't mind being messed up a little bit by Reverend Slick, then hold on.
- 23:01
- Okay. Hey, folks, we'll be right back after these messages. Please stay tuned. It's Matt Slick Live!
- 23:09
- Taking your calls at 877 -207 -2276. Here's Matt Slick.
- 23:16
- All right, everybody. Welcome back to the show. As soon as Derek's activated again by the producer,
- 23:21
- I will then click on him and get him on. There we go. Derek, welcome. You're back on the air. Okay.
- 23:26
- You there? I'm here. My reception's a little... A little loud?
- 23:33
- I guess I'll keep listening. Okay. Okay. So before I read this, I decided I'm going to ask you a question here or go over something.
- 23:40
- In pre -trib rapture stuff, then there's a seven -year tribulation. Then Jesus returns.
- 23:48
- Then that's when a second rapture occurs, apparently, of some sort. And then a thousand years later, the new heavens and new earth are made.
- 23:57
- Right? Right. Right. Okay. Now check this out. 1
- 24:02
- Thessalonians 4, 16. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout and the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God the dead in Christ will rise first.
- 24:13
- Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together to meet him in the clouds and meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall always be with the
- 24:19
- Lord. Now comfort one another with these words. Now as to the times and the epics, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you.
- 24:27
- For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. Right?
- 24:32
- That's the day of the Lord. It comes like a thief in the night. Right? Right. The rapture.
- 24:38
- Right. Now get ready to say oops because I'm going to go to 2
- 24:43
- Peter 3, 10. Now listen to this. The day of the
- 24:49
- Lord will come like a thief in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat and the earth and its works will be burned up.
- 25:00
- You see the problem? Wow. Yeah. Well, wait a minute.
- 25:06
- If it's a thousand years between the rapture or the second coming and the new heavens and new earth, why is the same phraseology used?
- 25:15
- The day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night in one place without the night in the other. But there's only one day of the
- 25:22
- Lord, okay? That comes like a thief. That's it. Okay. Why do both of them say that in one the rapture happens and in the other one it says that the new heavens and new earth are made?
- 25:35
- Yeah, it's kind of confusing. Yeah. Yeah. So it was just these last two things
- 25:40
- I showed you that converted me from pre -trib rapture, pre -trib millennialism, pre -millennialism to amillennialism on the spot.
- 25:50
- No one told me what it was. A guy, a friend of mine just said, here, could you read these? I go, what's it about?
- 25:55
- Just read them. Well, what, what? Just read them. I did. And I looked at him and I said, there's no millennium.
- 26:01
- No thousand years. I've never looked back. Once I saw that, I went, oh my goodness, they're the same day and there's no room for a thousand years in between them.
- 26:12
- And so. You're thinking they were taken and, and, and that's it. What I think happened, this is my opinion, which, hey,
- 26:19
- I'm probably wrong, but what I think happens is, as Humble Clay is typing in there, deprescatology is what
- 26:28
- I teach. Deprescatology. This is my view. That when God spoke to Adam and says, a day you eat of the fruit, you're going to die.
- 26:35
- I think that he was speaking not only to Adam, but to all mankind in him. In Matthew 24, 22,
- 26:40
- Jesus says, if those days be not cut short, no flesh would be left or saved. I think what's going to happen is mankind's going to bring itself to the point of self destruction.
- 26:50
- That's a way to send his death. That's what I believe is going to happen. And so what's going to happen is going to be a gigantic celestial.
- 26:57
- I told you so. But what I suspect is going to be is that Jesus is now reigning as king.
- 27:03
- He's the Lord. Satan was bound in Matthew 12, 22 through 32, because he says Satan was bound in order to plunder his house.
- 27:11
- The strong man has to be bound. He said it that Matthew 12 and he was plundering his house by casting out demonic forces.
- 27:18
- So that means Satan's bound. I mean, how do you get out of that? And so within the millennium is a thousand years, right?
- 27:25
- Well, people say it's a literal thousand. Is it? Because in Revelation 20, he binds Satan with a chain.
- 27:31
- It's all figurative. So what I think is going to happen is that as the unbelievers increase in the kingdom of God, because Christians aren't doing their job, that what will happen is
- 27:44
- Jesus will take out of his kingdom the stumbling blocks, which is what he says he'll do in Matthew 13.
- 27:51
- So I suspect this, that at the return of Christ, it'll be right before we're going to mankind to bring itself to self -destruction and that he's going to take the wicked out and maybe transport them to Armageddon.
- 28:07
- Because three in Revelation 16, three unclean spirits like frogs go out together to gather them together for the great day of Armageddon.
- 28:18
- Well, you know, I'm having fun with this. Frogs, one jumping, one taking, one's left. I don't know.
- 28:23
- I'm having fun with that. And then they're taken to Armageddon and they are represented there and destroyed.
- 28:32
- And then the wicked are taken first. Then we are raptured. And then the new heavens and new earth are made and eternity begins.
- 28:39
- That's my position, which is probably full of holes and wrong. Okay. So when he rebakes the earth,
- 28:51
- I've heard different people say that that's like a scorching of fire. Is that true?
- 28:58
- It says it'll pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat.
- 29:04
- In physics, nuclear fission or fusion, I guess fission, when an element is destroyed in intense heat is released.
- 29:15
- Now, what's a mystery is the nucleus has protons in it. Protons are positively charged and like fields, repel each other.
- 29:25
- And yet they're staying together. Why? Well, the Bible says that God holds the world together with exertion of his will.
- 29:32
- I forget where that is. Right. Yeah, I've never heard that. Yeah. Yeah. And so could it be?
- 29:39
- This is just fun. You know, I don't know. And could it be that what he's going to be doing is holding everything together until he says,
- 29:46
- Okay, I'm done holding it together. New heavens, new earth. But we will be taken out of here and everything's made back to where it's supposed to be.
- 29:54
- And then everything's done. And judgment, stuff like that. I've got an article on this, too.
- 30:00
- And there's more to this I can go into quite a bit. Right. So, yeah. You asked for it.
- 30:06
- So maybe I messed you up. Well, no, no, no. It's interesting.
- 30:12
- I don't want to take any more time from the next caller. So one last question.
- 30:18
- Like the two witnesses that they talk about in Revelation, are they witnesses to the
- 30:26
- Jews or are they witnesses to everyone? Good question. I don't know. But I know they're Jewish.
- 30:31
- Some people think that they might be Moses and Elijah. Some say Elijah and Enoch, because neither one of them died.
- 30:38
- And they come back. That's one of the theories. And so they are definitely
- 30:43
- Jewish prophets. Now, 144 ,000 male virgin Jews are supposed to go out and preach all over the place.
- 30:49
- And then the witnesses are causing problems for the Antichrist. And so they're killed and then resurrected and sent into heaven.
- 30:57
- And it's going to hit the fan for everybody shortly after that. Yeah. I got you.
- 31:02
- Well, thank you, sir. I don't want to take any more time. Okay, man. And I hope you don't lose too much sleep over what
- 31:09
- I just said. I'm going to do a little studying. Okay, buddy.
- 31:15
- Okay. Thank you, sir. God bless you. God bless you. All right. You know, I need to do a video on this, because I'm the only guy
- 31:24
- I know who holds this view, and that's not a good sign. That's not a good sign if I'm the only one
- 31:31
- I know who holds that view. That's definitely a warning sign. And so if I were you, I would not go say,
- 31:36
- Hey, you know what I heard? I heard a guy on the radio, and he was teaching about this weird stuff. And man,
- 31:41
- I like it. Yeah. Well, what's his name? Well, Matt. Yeah. What's his last name? Slick. It's just not going to go over well, you see.
- 31:50
- So there you go. All right, Alberto from Georgia. Welcome. You're on the air. Okay.
- 31:56
- Yes, sir. By the way, you're not the only guy who believes that. Dr. Michael Brown and the scholar
- 32:01
- Craig Kleiner believes it like you believe. Really? Also.
- 32:07
- I have to call him up and see if that's the case. Michael Brown and Craig Kleiner. He's a scholar. Yeah. I heard him in a video on Michael Brown's website,
- 32:16
- AskDrBrown .org. Yeah. I think I've got his cell number. Yeah. Maybe I'll call him sometime and ask him.
- 32:23
- And Eastern Time comes out at 3 o 'clock every day, 3 o 'clock. They call it the line of fire ministries.
- 32:30
- Line of fire live at 3 o 'clock Eastern Time. Okay. Yep. Okay. My question is, okay, the
- 32:39
- Bible says when Jesus comes back to the earth, right? The Bible says every eye shall see him, correct? So what about the people on earth who are blind, who got lost their vision, who got shot in the head by accident and got blind or born blind?
- 32:53
- I think what it means is that he's going to be seen from everywhere.
- 33:00
- Because what about people who are in the womb? Are they going to see him? What about the people who are in a coma from a car accident in the hospital?
- 33:07
- Are they going to see him? So I don't think it's a super literalist, every single eyeball everywhere.
- 33:13
- Okay. I think it's just meaning that everyone's going to see him all over the place. Okay. Or eventually we'll see him eventually like they found out about it.
- 33:22
- Okay. Yeah, he's on TV. Everybody see him. You know what I mean? Oh, this guy came from this guy.
- 33:28
- Yeah. Oh, yeah. I see him on TV and on the internet. Okay. Okay. My question is, I don't mind my being kind of wrong to be the way to do this.
- 33:36
- You know, the Bible says that in the great white throne judgment, it's only for unbelievers where Christ will judge all the unbelievers for their works that they be punished and be cast into the lake of fire.
- 33:45
- Correct? Basically. Hold on. Get a break. Hold on. Hold on. Get a break. Okay. So hold on, man. We'll be right back.
- 33:50
- All right, buddy. Hey, folks. We'll be right back after these messages. Then we'll get to Luke after Alberto.
- 33:55
- And may the Lord bless you. Be right back. It's Matt Slick live, taking your calls at 877 -207 -2276.
- 34:15
- Here's Matt Slick. All right, everybody. Welcome back to the show. Let's get back on the air with Alberto.
- 34:21
- Oops, there we go. Click this off. And there we go there. Alberto, welcome. You're back on the air, buddy. Okay. Okay, Matt Slick.
- 34:28
- My question is, in the great white throne judgment, I know that Jesus is going to judge all those sinners.
- 34:35
- And he's going to cast them into the lake of fire for all eternity. And each one is going to receive a quote to the books written about the works that they did.
- 34:42
- So there's different degrees of punishment for all eternity. Okay. Now, my question is, since I'm going to be in heaven, and Jesus Christ is the judge at that time, but sinners won't be in the great white throne judgment, only in the judgment seat.
- 34:55
- Correct? I understand. Yes. Okay. Go ahead. My question is, since I'm a child of God, could
- 35:02
- I ask Jesus for permission? Can I do this ministry forever? I mean, not forever, this ministry in the great white judgment.
- 35:09
- Can you allow me to take all the sinners into the lake of fire as a ministry, under butts, take them into heaven? I mean, the lake of fire.
- 35:16
- You mean you want to be able to take people to hell? No, they're already going to hell already, because they're in the great white throne judgment.
- 35:26
- They're already there. All those who are in the great white throne judgment, automatically they're going to hell, I mean, to the lake of fire, because their names are not written in the book of life already.
- 35:33
- So, as a ministry in heaven, can I take them into the lake of fire?
- 35:40
- I would basically say no, that that would be
- 35:48
- God's work and not yours. Okay. That won't be my...
- 35:56
- He won't allow me to do that. You're a sucker. You know, you didn't accept the Christ, so...
- 36:04
- No, I don't think that would be... With respect, I don't think it'll be your attitude either.
- 36:11
- I think you will be hurting, because they're going to go to...
- 36:16
- Yeah, hurting, maybe, because they're going to be going into eternal damnation without hope.
- 36:22
- And that's going to be a terrible thing. My heart won't be like that.
- 36:27
- My heart won't be that kind of condition. I generally think that you would not be like that, okay?
- 36:36
- Okay. I'm just curious, that's all. But, okay. So, okay.
- 36:43
- Thank you for answering the question about the blind people, not when they... You know, when he's coming back, that's how they're more clear now.
- 36:50
- All right. Okay. Thank you. All right, man. I found the video where Craig, the scholar Craig Senior and Michael Brown talked about it.
- 36:57
- So, I can send it to YouTube also if you want it. Sure. Yeah, it'd be fine. Info to your email.
- 37:03
- Okay? All right. Thank you. Sounds good, man. Thanks a lot. All right.
- 37:09
- Well, now let's try and get to Luke from Washington, D .C. Luke, welcome. You are on the air.
- 37:16
- Hi, Matt. How are you? Doing all right. Hanging in there, man. Hanging in there.
- 37:21
- So, what do you got? So, today my question is, did
- 37:27
- Adam and Eve have navels? Did Adam and Eve have belly button?
- 37:32
- I would say probably not. I can't say that's exactly correct, but I would say probably not because they didn't, they weren't born with the, through the womb.
- 37:48
- Because the placenta, you know, ties in with an umbilical cord into the stomach area for nourishment.
- 37:56
- And they didn't have that. So, I don't see them having that belly button. Maybe I'm wrong, but, you know, that'd be my position.
- 38:03
- Okay. One more question. How old were they when
- 38:08
- God made them in the earth? How old? Do you know, do you have any idea that they are 18 years old?
- 38:16
- Or what kind of age? You know, we know that they died when very old.
- 38:22
- So, what was the age when they are on the earth? When they were born? The Bible doesn't tell us.
- 38:30
- Okay. They don't appear to have been made as teenagers or babies.
- 38:38
- Don't know. So, Adam was a full -grown mature man. Whatever the best age is for that,
- 38:45
- I would think that that's probably where God created him. But I don't know for sure. That's just an opinion.
- 38:51
- Okay. So, another question. What does the Bible say about anger?
- 38:58
- Depends on what it is. There's unrighteous anger and there's righteous anger. God gets angry. Just because you get angry doesn't mean it's sinful.
- 39:07
- So, unrighteous anger is a bad thing. So, any
- 39:13
- Bible verses for that? Unrighteous anger and righteous anger? Well, off the top of my head,
- 39:21
- I don't, let's see if I can, if I've written an article on this. I think I have over the years, written so many.
- 39:27
- Yeah, what's righteous anger? So, the anger of the Lord burned against Moses.
- 39:33
- That's Exodus 4 .14. Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel. Judges 3 .8.
- 39:40
- And then Jeremiah 51 .45. My people and each of you, save yourselves from the fierce anger of the
- 39:47
- Lord. And then in Colossians 3 .8, put them all aside. Anger, wrath, malice, slander.
- 39:54
- And Ephesians 4 .26, that's the verse. Be angry and yet do not sin.
- 40:00
- Do not let the sun go down on your anger. So, you can be angry, but just don't do it sinfully.
- 40:06
- We can go on more about that, but there you go. Okay. Okay. So, one more question.
- 40:12
- I'm just, I'm doing a street evangelism in Virginia today. So, I have a board and then
- 40:18
- I stand in there. And then what are the other methods I can do with street evangelism? And I know that I give tracts any other way because it's a street, you know, fourth corner, seventh corner.
- 40:31
- Yeah, you could hijack the Goodyear blimp and then pass out literature from the sky. That's another way.
- 40:37
- Yeah. Yeah. And I don't think a lot of homeless people, they are asking me today that, are you paid by any serious people or who are, you know, so many questions.
- 40:50
- Who paid you for standing here in this cold weather? Oh, yeah. I said God. Just tell the truth.
- 40:57
- No one's paying me. I'm just doing it on my own free will. I want you to have the gospel message.
- 41:03
- I've done it in wind. I've done it in rain, in sweltering heat, you know, in the comfort of a beach breeze.
- 41:12
- So, it's just what it is. You just do it all over. Okay. Thank you,
- 41:18
- Matt. Have a blessed day. You too. Thanks a lot, man. All right. Well, it's, we've got about, let's see, six minutes left in the show.
- 41:29
- So, what I think I can do is go over to the emails and see if we can get to some of the radio questions emails that have been here.
- 41:38
- Let's see. How about this? What is your favorite person in the Bible and why? Paul the Apostle besides Jesus. Okay. I like Paul the
- 41:44
- Apostle. I do. He's my favorite guy. And because he's smart, he's logical, and he does theology.
- 41:56
- And I like that. So, that's why he's my favorite. All right. All right. Let's try this one. Okay. So, I'm not a
- 42:03
- Unitarian and not a Christian. Whatever I am is a funny sounding name that begins with an
- 42:10
- O with 12 letters and five syllables. Saying this name comes to my mind a fantasy or sci -fi novel.
- 42:21
- I thought I'll let you know in case of conflict. Oh. Okay.
- 42:29
- And then P .S. I apologize for driving you up the wall. My beliefs would blow your mind.
- 42:36
- Wow. They would blow my mind? Okay. I'm not sure what that means, but let's get another one.
- 42:47
- Let's see. Can you please discuss the true meaning of the following verse in Matthew in relation to lying?
- 42:53
- What if a person is lying to you who is in a position of authority over you? What do you mean what if he's lying to you?
- 43:00
- What if you don't know he's lying to you? What if you know he's lying to you? So, I'm not sure what it is.
- 43:09
- If you know he's lying about something else, not to you, but you've heard him say a lie that is not true, or you know that he knew better and he didn't tell the truth, or he's saying something that's not true, but he thinks it's true.
- 43:26
- So, there's all variables, all kinds of variables here. So, without clarification, I'm not exactly sure what to respond to.
- 43:34
- Let's get to this one. I really enjoy your show, Truth Triad. My question is, what is the significance of the eight verses per the
- 43:49
- Hebrew alphabet? I don't understand the question. What is the significance of the eight verses per the
- 43:55
- Hebrew alphabet? I don't know what that means. I don't understand the verse.
- 44:01
- I don't understand the question. The significance of the eight verses per the
- 44:07
- Hebrew alphabet, I don't know. Okay? So, maybe if that person who wrote it wants to rephrase it, a little more specificity, then
- 44:15
- I can address it. Let's try this. Are either of the following views acceptable within the understanding of the
- 44:21
- Christian faith? Full preterism, no. Partial preterism, yes. Full preterism teaches that Jesus returned in 70
- 44:29
- AD. He did not because Acts 1, 9 through 11, refutes that.
- 44:35
- And what's interesting, and I'll read it, but I have read this so many times to full preterists who teach that Jesus, he returned in the armies.
- 44:46
- That's how the prophecy was of his return, was in the army of Rome that destroyed
- 44:52
- Jerusalem. That's where he returned. No, it's not. Partial preterism says that he returned in a manner of destruction upon Jerusalem, upon Israel.
- 45:02
- But the return of Christ, according to Acts 1, is going to be future. That's called partial preterism.
- 45:08
- So, there are variables in there, but generally speaking, partial preterism is acceptable. But full preterism is not.
- 45:14
- Now, remember, full preterism says that Jesus returned in the armies of Rome to destroy
- 45:19
- Jerusalem. And this is what the prophecy is about the return of Christ in Acts 1, 9 through 11.
- 45:25
- And I'll comment through it. And after he said these things, he was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received him out of their sight.
- 45:34
- They're looking up, and a cloud is there. That means they're looking into the sky. That's where the clouds are above you.
- 45:41
- And as they were gazing intently into the sky while he was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them.
- 45:48
- And they also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? What are they looking into?
- 45:54
- The sky, where the clouds were, where Jesus vertically ascended into heaven. Okay? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you watch him go into heaven.
- 46:08
- Okay, that's clear. That means he's going to come back in the same way he ascended into heaven, from the sky and the clouds.
- 46:13
- And when you go to 1 Thessalonians 4, for the Lord himself will descend from heaven with the shout of the voice of the archangel, the trumpet of God, the dead in Christ will rise first, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the
- 46:29
- Lord in the air. That's what the prophecy is. So the full Praetorists say, No, no, the clouds are symbolic, the sky is symbolic.
- 46:38
- And I'm like, Okay, we need to move along. Because it's like, you know, I've tried it once,
- 46:44
- I tried arguing with a doorknob. And I got nowhere. Okay? You know, and it just doesn't work.
- 46:51
- And so sometimes I've noticed arguing with full Praetorists is like arguing with a doorknob or a cactus.
- 46:59
- The closer you get, the worse it becomes. So, you know, and I literally, when
- 47:06
- I'm talking to them, and they say, That's not what it means in Acts 1, 9 to 11. Or 1
- 47:12
- Thessalonians 4, 16 and 17. It's not what it means. It's all figurative. Like, I'm just done talking.
- 47:18
- You know? But what are you going to do? What do you do at that point? You go, Done. Next. That's what
- 47:24
- I say. Next. I'm just not going to argue with a wall. You know, with a cactus, you know, with a bag of fur.
- 47:31
- I don't know. What are you going to call it? At any rate, it's just dumb. So, hey, folks, there you go. May the Lord bless you by his grace.
- 47:37
- I'll be back on here tomorrow. And Lord willing, we'll talk to you then. So, I hope you have a great evening. God bless everybody.
- 47:45
- Talk to you later. Another program powered by the
