- Jesus lie, is in John chapter 7. We'll start reading in verse 1. After this,

- Jesus went about in Galilee. He did not go into Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him.

- Now the Jews' feast of booths was at hand. So his brothers said to him, leave and go to Judea, that your disciples may see the works you are doing.

- For no one works in secret if he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.

- For not even his brothers believed in him. Jesus said to them, my time has not yet come, but your time is always here.

- You go up to the feast. I am not going to the feast, for my time has not yet fully come.

- After this saying, he remained in Galilee. But his brothers had gone up. After his brothers had gone up to the feast, he went up, not publicly, but in private.

- And those last two phrases are important. Not publicly, but in private.

- Jesus is not lying, because what his brothers wanted him to do was to go and publicly, openly expose who he was and do the things he claimed to do.
