Did God use Evolution? Theistic Evolution vs. the Bible

The Bible describes that God spoke creation into existence about 6 ,000 years ago, then placed

Adam and Eve here to start the human race and take dominion over the Earth. Public schools teach that life evolved over millions of unseen years.

Given this tension, many Christian students adopt a theistic evolution worldview, believing that God somehow used evolution to create the life we see on Earth today.

Is there any problem with adopting this view? We believe there is. Consider this. Saying that God used evolution makes death, and not

God, our creator. The Bible is clear that death came into the world as a consequence of our sin.

God did not use millions of years of murderous survival of the fittest to spawn all the different animal kinds we see today.

Yes, we see speciation happening today, but animals stay within their breedable, created kinds, just as God said ten times in Genesis 1.

In all of recorded history, no one has ever seen anything different. Further, the

Bible says that we are made in the image of God, not in the image of apes. Humans are distinctly different than apes, born with the ability to create, speak, pray, sing, worship, and plan ahead in ways that no animals do today.

But does any of this even matter? Well, consider this. Many people will only consider the

Bible's message if they believe the Bible to be credible, both historically and scientifically.

Each person's eternity, either in heaven or hell, depends on what they believe about the risen

Christ. And how do we know about this? Well, it's in the Bible. And if people don't believe the

Bible guided right on the first page, who's going to trust the rest? So, because it takes faith to believe in either the

Bible or the world's view of this distant past, is it a better choice to trust God or fallible man?
