Abolish Abortion and the Moral Case for Protecting the Preborn

It's great that we use ultrasounds and other resources to try to persuade parents to choose life when it comes to their preborn children. As Christians, we believe murder is wrong because men are created in the image of God, and we believe that abortion is wrong.

But we don't use that strategy when it comes to adults killing other adults. We don't go out into the streets to where the drug deals are happening with ultrasounds showing people heartbeats to try to persuade them that they're going to take the life of another human being.

Men know that murder is wrong. That's why we have laws. Why should it be any different for the preborn child? Where are the laws? We need to abolish abortion. We need to make laws. Ultrasounds and other resources are great and needed.

The Call to Abolish Abortion in the Church

But we need to abolish abortion. Dear pastor, is one of your greatest concerns in abolishing abortion the conviction of the mother and doctor? Let me ask you these questions. Who is the true victim in abortion?

Whom does the Bible say wields the sword? And is the killing of an innocent human being not murder? Do you think your patrons also have these same struggles? Educate them. However, with all the apathy in the fight against abortion, it's hard not to conclude two things.

Fear of Jobs, Status, and Convention Approval

That we're either afraid to lose our jobs, or we're afraid to lose our status in the convention or denomination. So the question I must ask is where do you stand before God on this issue?
