Heritage has reminded us of the gospel and the fruits of that, the effects of that on the body of Christ, the church that Christ is building, reminding us that it's so much bigger than just ourselves and that it's not even about us anyway.

It's about the glory of Christ. We're going through Ephesians right now and that big vision of the church and the vision of Christ building his bride and the plan that he has for her in eternity is lived out here and it's believed.

It's not just taught, it's actually believed and that changes the texture, it changes everything about how we do church here.

The people of Heritage are terrible people. They're horrible people and let me tell you how horrible they are.

They're so horrible that God had to send his son, Jesus Christ, to be slaughtered on a cross to take away their sins and to bring them nigh unto him and the people of Heritage know that and that changes how we worship because we realize it's not about us cleaning up our lives, putting on our nice Sunday clothes and getting good enough for God to worship him.

It's a recognition. Every time that we take the Lord's table, we are announcing to ourselves, to the watching world, that we are not good in and of ourselves and that we cannot come unto

God outside of the blood of the covenant and that changes everything about how you worship because it's not about us being good enough and when you know that and you realize that what makes the people of Heritage beautiful, the people of Heritage are ugly and what makes them beautiful is

Christ. Christ in front of them, Christ within them and that's what makes the people of Heritage beautiful today and that will be what makes the people of Heritage beautiful 100 years from now, 100 million years from now and I really appreciate how that's preached and lived out here.
