Apologia Church Is Planting In Utah!

Hi guys, I'm Pastor Jeff Durbin with Apologia Church. I'm in Provo, Utah right now with Andrew and Wade.

This is sort of the center place of BYU, Brigham Young University. Many of you know that Apologia Church, by the grace of God, has been used to communicate the gospel, the biblical gospel, the biblical

Christ to the Mormon people globally. Because of that, God has prepared us as a church to not only have a passion and a heart and a love and concern for our

Mormon neighbors, but to be able to effectively minister to them where they're at. And so we want to announce that right now we are in the preliminary starting plans for a church plant in Utah, Apologia Church, Utah.

And so our hope is in 2021 to plant a church south of Salt Lake City, north of Provo, sort of in between, where there are tons of families, a large

Mormon population to communicate the gospel to them and to win Utah to the biblical

Christ through the biblical gospel. So let me just ask you guys, why specifically do you want to come here to reach these people with the gospel?

I would say it's our love for the Mormon people. We want to see them come to faith in the true and living God. The reality is they have a false gospel, a false

Christ, a false God, and a false prophet, a gospel that can't save. We need to bring the gospel unashamedly into this place.

It desperately needs it. A lot of the people leaving the

LDS religion, they're literally going from out of the frying pan and into the fire. So we want to be here to not only preach the gospel to the

LDS community and bring them to a true knowledge of saving faith in Christ, but also to the secular culture here at large so they can actually have peace with God.

Nine out of ten LDS people said they never heard the gospel from evangelical Christians here. Nothing out of ten.

We're gonna change that. No, we hear it all the time. We're sick of it. The main thing is here, we love the

Mormon community with a passion and we want them to know Christ and to be saved.

So we are, according to God's will and by God's grace, we are planting a church in Utah.

We're asking for all of our ministry partners and friends around the world, if you believe in this work, to help us to reach a goal we have to start this plant in 2021.

The goal is $150 ,000 to be honest. It's a lot of money in some respects, but honestly when you consider what's going to happen here, it's very little, but we need your help to get there.
