Whether I respond or launch into this question as a legislator or from the perspective of a woman of faith, because it's very difficult to sit here and listen to arguments in the long history of this country of using scripture and weaponizing and abusing scripture to justify bigotry.

He would be maligned as a radical and rejected from these doors. And I know, and it is part of my faith, that all people are holy and all people are sacred, unconditionally, and that is what makes faith sometimes, that's what prompts us to transform, because it is unconditional.

First of all, Joe Biden and I are both people of faith, and it's insulting to suggest that we would knock anyone for their faith.

And in fact, Joe, if elected, will be only the second practicing Catholic as president of the

United States. Our faith has indeed been tested, but it is that same faith, our faith in God, our faith in humanity, and our faith in what is possible.

It is that same faith that I know has seen us through, that has helped us to see the light in one another.

But now, listen to Harris say that someone does not need to give up faith or religion to support ending the lives of preborn babies.

We must agree that the women of America have the ability to exercise their own judgment in making decisions about their own body, and the government should not be making that decision for her.

Harris regularly supports policies that are directly antithetical to the Christian faith, and she even tries to pretend her faith remains genuine.

And not only this, like Harris, Biden fights for policies that Jesus would hate, such as abusing and confusing children.

None of us, no matter what our political party or our station in life, the full breadth of human knowledge is like a grain of sand in God's hands and there are some mysteries in this world we cannot fully comprehend.

The challenge I find then is to balance this uncertainty, this humility, with the need to fight for deeply held convictions, to be open to other points of view, but firm in our core principles.

So we rejoice and we fight on. And second, we have confidence that God sees their evil and will bring about perfect justice in the end.
