Welcome back to Daily Bites of God's Word. This is Andy Cain, and it is a joy to be back with you once again.
00:18
Today we're looking at Psalm 119, verse 33. David says, instruct me,
00:25
O Yahweh, in the way of your statutes. Just as he said in verse 32, he says,
00:31
I want to run the way, I shall run the way of your commandments. Well, the only way you can run and live in the way of God's law is to know what it is.
00:38
Not just to know what it says, but to be instructed in how we are to apply it to our life.
00:43
And so he says, instruct me, teach me, show me, O Lord, not just what your law says, but how to live in the way of your statutes.
00:54
And as a result, he says, I may observe them to the end, all the days of my life, in every facet of my life, applying it to all areas.
01:05
You can't say, well, this section of my life, you know, that's for me. I can direct that.
01:11
I can have control over that. No, it's an all or nothing proposition. It's all of Christ for all of life, or you have chaos, you have sin.
01:21
And so you, my friend, need to be eager to be instructed in the word of God, in the way of his law, in the way of his statutes and commands.
01:31
And you need to be equally as eager to see them applied to every part of your life.
01:41
And this will bring you to the place where you'll be able to observe them consistently with joy, all the days of your life, all the way to the end of your life on this earth.
01:54
And you will live a Christ honoring life and a God centered life. And you cannot do this outside of the instruction of the word of God and the application of it in all places.
