Hello, and thank you for listening to the
00:11
Testing the Spirits podcast. In this episode, we're going to be talking about Christians and conspiracy theories.
00:17
The main focus will be on what people call the New World Order, and really, this isn't a conspiracy theory as much as it is what the
00:25
Bible teaches. In the book of Revelation, there is this figure known as the
00:31
Beast. We typically call him the Antichrist, but he establishes, in the end times, during the tribulation, he establishes a one -world government, a one -world religion, and his false prophet establishes a one -world economic system with the mark of the
00:49
Beast. So if you Google New World Order, according to the government,
00:55
Wikipedia, Google, they say this is just a conspiracy theory, and yet many world rulers and politicians, people all over, not just Christians, but people in all walks of life, even going back a hundred years or more, people have been using this term,
01:10
New World Order, and they're calling for global government. Let me just give you a quick example. Going back to Woodrow Wilson, who was the president during World War I, Woodrow Wilson, who was very progressive for his time, he called for a
01:24
New World Order, and that led to the development of the League of Nations, which morphed into the
01:31
United Nations, which was probably, if the rapture and tribulation, if that happens anytime soon, it would probably be the
01:40
UN that the Antichrist would use to establish his one -world government. So this is a relevant topic.
01:47
People might want to dismiss it, and let's just ask the question right up front, is it okay for Christians to believe in conspiracy theories?
01:56
Because this whole topic has gone mainstream since 2020, but can
02:02
Christians believe in conspiracy theories? Well, yes and no. I mean, you can do it everywhere, I suppose, but yes,
02:08
Christians can believe in conspiracy theories, because we can all think of at least one or two conspiracy theories that just ended up being true, right?
02:16
But just because the government or Google or some tech company labels something a conspiracy theory, it doesn't make it so.
02:25
The Bible even talks about conspiracies, Psalm 2, depending on your translation, it says that the rulers of the world, the rulers gather together, they conspire against the
02:41
Lord and against his anointed. So the Bible talks about conspiracies.
02:48
Conspiracies are real. And what's a theory? Well, a theory is a theory, and it may be right, it may be wrong.
02:54
So yes, Christians can believe in this, but no, in the sense that we need to be discerning.
03:01
We need to be careful. We don't just want to be gullible and believe whatever somebody says. So we need to be careful of this.
03:07
There are some conspiracy theories that are just beyond the pale. So with that said, let's start talking about the
03:13
New World Order. Going back to Genesis chapter 11, the Tower of Babel, there has always been this spirit in the world that seeks to build a one world system.
03:25
Come together, make a name for ourselves. This is what Nimrod did with the Tower of Babel.
03:30
He was opposing what God said, and he built this tower, which was probably devoted to pagan religion.
03:37
So it was a one world system, one world religion, and this has always been the way.
03:43
And Babel became Babylon, which was the enemy of God's people, Israel. Babylon was a world empire.
03:52
And then the Bible in Revelation uses this term
03:57
Babylon to kind of just describe the corrupt world system that opposes the kingdom of God and the people of God.
04:04
So Revelation chapter 13, which I'm going to read from in a moment, this really lays it out how the beast or the
04:12
Antichrist, he does establish a one world government. For example, in Revelation 13, verse seven, it says, all authority was given to the beast over every nation, tribe, and tongue.
04:26
So that's a one world government. Verse four, he's worshiped, says that several times in the chapter.
04:31
That's a one world religion. And then verse 17, the false prophet institutes the mark of the beast.
04:37
This is the one world economy where you can't buy or sell unless you have the mark. So Revelation 13, starting in verse one, the apostle
04:45
John says, then I stood on the sand of the sea and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and 10 horns and on his horns, 10 crowns and on his heads, a blasphemous name.
04:59
Now the beast, which I saw was like a leopard. His feet were like the feet of a bear and his mouth, the mouth of a lion and the dragon, which is a name for the devil, gave him his power, his throne and great authority.
05:13
So I'm going to play this video from the ministry, gotquestions .org,
05:19
where they explain this quite well, watch. Does the Bible prophesy a one world government and a one world currency in the end times?
05:32
The Bible does not use the phrase one world government or one world currency in referring to the end times.
05:38
It does, however, provide ample evidence to enable us to draw the conclusion that both will exist under the rule of the
05:45
Antichrist in the last days. In his apocalyptic vision in the book of Revelation, the apostle
05:51
John sees the beast, also called the Antichrist, rising out of the sea, having seven heads and 10 horns.
05:58
Combining this vision with Daniel's similar one, we can conclude that some sort of world system will be inaugurated by the beast, the most powerful horn, who will defeat the other nine and will begin to wage war against Christians.
06:11
The 10 nation confederacy is also seen in Daniel's image of the statue in Daniel 2, 41 through 42, where he pictures the final world government consisting of 10 entities represented by the 10 toes of the statue.
06:25
Whoever the 10 are and however they come to power, scripture is clear that the beast will either destroy them or reduce their power to nothing more than figure heads.
06:33
In the end, they will do his bidding. John goes on to describe the ruler of this vast empire by having power and great authority given to him by Satan himself, being followed by and receiving worship from all the world, and having authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation.
06:52
From this description, it is logical to assume that this person is the leader of a one world government which is recognized as sovereign over all other governments.
07:01
It's hard to imagine how such diverse systems of government as are in power today would willingly subjugate themselves to a single ruler and there are many theories on this subject.
07:11
A logical conclusion is that the disasters and plagues described in Revelation as the seal and trumpet judgments will be so devastating and create such a monumental global crisis that people will embrace anything and anyone who promises to give them relief.
07:27
Once entrenched in power, the beast, or antichrist, and the power behind him, Satan, will move to establish absolute control over all peoples of the earth to accomplish their true end, the worship
07:38
Satan has been seeking ever since being thrown out of heaven. One way they will accomplish this is by controlling all commerce and this is where the idea of a one world currency comes in.
07:50
Revelation 13, 16 -17 describes some sort of satanic mark which will be required in order to buy and sell.
07:57
This means anyone who refuses the mark will be unable to buy food, clothing, or other necessities of life.
08:04
No doubt the vast majority of people in the world will succumb to the mark simply to survive. Again, verse 16 makes it clear that this will be a universal system of control where everyone, rich and poor, great and small, will bear the mark on their hand or forehead.
08:20
There's a great deal of speculation as to how exactly this mark will be affixed but the technologies that are available right now could accomplish it very easily.
08:29
Those who are left behind after the rapture of the church will be faced with an excruciating choice, accept the mark of the beast in order to survive, or face starvation and horrific persecution by the
08:41
Antichrist and his followers. But those who come to Christ during this time, those whose names are written in the
08:47
Lamb's book of life, will choose to endure, even to martyrdom. Okay so there you go,
08:54
I thought that was a pretty good explanation and just to go back to Revelation chapter 13 verse 7, it was granted to him that is to the beast, to the
09:04
Antichrist, to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority was given to the
09:11
Antichrist over every tribe, tongue, and nation. So if he has authority over every nation, that is clearly a one world government.
09:22
Verse 8, and all who dwell on the earth will worship him. So that is a one world religion.
09:29
The Antichrist will be the object of worship. I suspect in the end times, he will allow the
09:38
Muslims to pray towards Mecca and to have their head scarves and the
09:43
Buddhists can meditate and the Catholics can burn incense and have their Mary statue and people in all the world religions can practice their faith and do what they want, but there's going to be one condition, you just have to bow down and worship the
09:59
Antichrist. Either way, we see this in verse 7, it was granted to him to make war with the saints, authority was given to him over every nation, tribe, and tongue, one world government.
10:08
Verse 8, everyone will worship him, that's the one world religion. And then verse 17, the false prophet institutes the mark of the beast that no one may buy or sell except the one who has the mark, which is 666.
10:22
Okay, so what does that mean? I mean, nobody knows, but believers during the tribulation will be able to identify it when it happens.
10:31
And some people say, well, why is it that the mark is taken on their right hand or on their forehead?
10:36
Now, probably it will be put or put on or in their right hand, but you know, some people don't have a right hand.
10:44
Some people are missing a limb. Some people are missing their hand. Well, everybody has a forehead.
10:49
So, Revelation 13, one world government, one world religion, one world economic system.
10:56
The term that people are using, many prophecy scholars, Bible teachers, the term they use is a new world order.
11:03
And this is also a term that politicians used, and I said, going back all the way to Woodrow Wilson, probably before him, but Woodrow Wilson, again, he called for a new world order.
11:16
He was instrumental in founding the League of Nations that then morphed into the
11:22
United Nations, which the UN, one of their first actions was to carve out the state of Israel.
11:29
So, it's just interesting how all this works out. Now, that Psalm 2 passage where the rulers of this world conspire against the
11:37
Lord and against his anointed, I think there are world rulers that not only do they oppose
11:43
God, they know they oppose God, they're intentionally trying to oppose God, but I think other people just, they fall into the trap.
11:51
They're following the spirit of this age, the zeitgeist, and they end up fulfilling God's will, and they don't even know it.
11:59
But this is clearly what the Bible teaches, just because Google, or again, governments call it a conspiracy theory,
12:08
I mean, it's in the Bible. Okay, so, what other world rulers have used this term, new world order?
12:14
Well, George H .W. Bush called for a new world order after the fall of the Soviet Union, and just last year,
12:21
I believe it was, in a live interview on cable news, one of Joe Biden's top advisors, he defended what he called the liberal world order, and there's all sorts of different politicians from different countries who, especially after 2020, they started using this term on a regular basis.
12:41
So, new world order. Here are a few fun facts. If you have a dollar bill, go ahead and look on the back.
12:48
You see the Freemason symbol, the pyramid with the all -seeing eye on top.
12:55
Underneath this known symbol of Freemasonry, you see the words, Novus Ordo Seclorum, which means, you guessed it, new world order, or the new order of the ages.
13:09
But the term age and world can be used synonymously. You remember Jesus in the
13:15
Great Commission, he said, Lo, I'm with you always, even until the end of the world. Well, modern translations render that even until the end of the age.
13:24
So world and age, new order of the ages, new world order. Also, above the
13:30
Freemason symbol, it says, Annuit Coeptis, which means, he favors our plan, or he favors our undertakings.
13:42
Now who is he? Well, it's this concept of God, the all -seeing eye.
13:48
Which God is it? Well, I'll tell you one thing, it is not the God of the Bible. This is a
13:53
Freemason symbol, therefore, this is the God of Freemasonry. And you look at some other known
14:00
Freemason symbols, such as the upside -down pentagram, you can start to connect the dots.
14:08
Some Freemason lodges worship a God they call
14:13
Jabilin, which is an amalgamation of three names,
14:19
Jehovah, Baal, and Osiris. Osiris is the
14:24
Egyptian god of fertility, but the New Testament uses the name Baal for the devil.
14:31
Baal, also Baalzebub, and then
14:36
Beelzebub, they sort of morphed into that name. So Beelzebub was what the Jews called
14:41
Jesus, that he did miracles by the power of Satan, Beelzebub. Now, does this imagery on the dollar bill prove anything?
14:50
Because if you look at other websites, they'll say, okay, well, that is what it means. But that's not really, you know, they'll have their excuses.
14:57
I'm not saying this proves anything, except that it proves what the
15:03
Bible says, that the whole world is under the sway of the wicked one. They are not following the Lord. And whether they know it or not, whether it's intentional or not,
15:12
Psalm 2, the rulers of this world, they conspire, they plot against the
15:17
Lord and against his Christ. Okay. So with all of that said, what's the takeaway?
15:23
Well, number one, if you don't know Christ as your Lord and Savior, you need to place your faith in the gospel.
15:30
The Bible says that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day. And whoever calls upon the name of the
15:37
Lord shall be saved. Saved from what? Saved from sin, saved from its penalty, saved from the wrath, which is to come.
15:46
So that's number one. If you're not saved, you need to get saved. Number two, if you already know the
15:51
Lord, we need to live faithfully. Now more than ever, we need to live faithfully in this world.
15:58
The stage is set. The return of Christ is drawing near. It's true.
16:03
We will never know the day or the hour of Christ's return, but we can know the signs of the times.
16:09
Finally, I would just say that in Revelation chapter 19, the Bible talks about when
16:14
Jesus does return at his second advent to the earth, he will destroy the armies of antichrist and he will cast the beast and the false prophet into the lake of fire.
16:26
And at the great white throne judgment after that, a thousand years later, all those who followed the beast will be cast into the lake of fire.
16:35
And that is a distressing message for some. And again, if someone is not saved, it should be distressing, should be terrifying.
16:44
But if you are saved and this maybe starts to cause a little anxiety, the fact that we know who wins in the end should just settle it for us.
16:54
We can have peace in our hearts knowing that God is in control. God wins. And if we are in covenant relationship with the
17:01
Lord through Jesus Christ, we have nothing to fear. So thanks for listening.
