As we enter into a political season, we have no choice but to ask the simple question, are Christians being distracted by politics? It's a very sad thing that I've noticed that many Christians are willing to separate from other believers over political stances.

Really? The political sphere in America has become so divisive that what we end up seeing is that even Christians will separate from one another. This is a distraction. Christians should be focused not on politics, not on who should or should not win an election.

Though we should vote, we have a moral responsibility to get out there and support candidates that we think would present the best biblical system for us. However, as believers, our hope is not in politicians, and the constant focus on politics can actually be a distraction to the more important issues that Christians should focus on, and that is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

You and I, as believers, though we should be politically active and voting because we have that right and responsibility, we should be more active in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with a lost and dying world that needs to know of Him.
