Doctrine of the Week - Hell

The doctrine of the week for this Sunday is hell.

Jesus said in Mark 9 43, if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off.

It is better for you to enter into life maimed rather than having two hands to go to hell into the fire that shall never be quenched.

According to Jesus Christ in Matthew 25 41, hell is the place that was prepared for the devil and his angels.

But understand that Satan is not the king or the ruler of hell.

Rather, Satan, his angels, and all those who follow him in his rebellion against God, they will all be cast into the lake of fire, according to Revelation 20 verses 10 through 15.

Now, there's several words that are associated with hell and translated hell, depending on your

Bible version. They are Sheol, Hades, Tartarus, the pit,

Gehenna, the abyss. But for those who reject the Lord and despise his word, as the

Lord says in Revelation 21 verse eight, but the cowardly, the unbelieving, the abominable murders, sexually immoral sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Now, this is why salvation is called salvation. This is what you are being saved from.
