And he got up in front of his entire church and told them that everything that he has ever preached about tithing has been wrong

So this is um, I mean this this is big news Creflo dollar undoubtedly the most aptly named of the prosperity preachers famous for a few years ago

And when the secular news media picked up on this and they did a number of stories Criticizing him he doubled down on it and just brazenly went forward

That's just a flat -out lie. That is an absolute flat -out lie Creflo dollar has said this kenneth copeland has said this jesse duplantis has said this they all say they all justify having their tens and tens of millions of dollars worth of private jets

I travel I preach I preach all across the united states. I fly all around the world I have been and this is not a humble brag.

Of what we're getting ready to do now So why is this important? Because religion is sustained by two factors

Fear and guilt And if it's one subject that the church has used for a long time

To keep people in fear and guilt It is in that subject of tithing

And it has to be corrected And it's got to be corrected now I may lose some friends preachers may not ever invite me no more, but I think

I already been through that so it doesn't matter Wow So he admits that everything that he has ever taught on tithing

Not so much let's go back through this and let's break it down and let's look at this biblically

And he says he had not yet been confronted with the gospel of grace Now there's a telling statement

Of word of the word faith movement you tell sick people If you need healing in your body

If not millions of people around the world sick people have given money to you and to your

Heretic friends like kenneth copeland and jesse duplantis and jerry savelle Desperately giving money that many of them don't have to give because they're sick

Because they have a sick spouse their husband their wife is sick. Their child is sick

And they have given you money that they don't have to give that they could be spending for medical expenses or travel expenses to or or crutches or wheelchairs or oxygen tanks

I've been to all of these things dozens and dozens of them And i've seen the sick people.

I've seen the people in wheelchairs. I've seen the people on stretchers I've seen the people laying on a blanket on the floor so sick with cancer.

They cannot lift their heads. I've seen the mothers With their grown son

I saw a mother with her grown son in a wheelchair who was bigger than she was With his head strapped back

Because he can't hold his head up wearing a bib Because he's constantly drooling on himself

And they were there to see benny hen One of your friends And they were being told as long as they have enough faith as long as they give money

Sow a seed so they'll reap a harvest This happened in dallas. This was in at the american airline center in in uh, dallas, texas 2002 to be specific

You know where that lady and her son were from new hampshire Saw it on their tags and started talking to new hampshire

They she drove her incapacitated son who was bigger than she was down from new hampshire

To see benny hen hoping for a miracle And I talked to her and she said oh we follow benny hen all over the country

And they give you their money Oh, well, that was benny hen. Yeah, you and benny hen teach the same thing

You teach the same thing creflo i've been to meetings where you've been to the southwest believers convention

I've seen the sick people. I've seen the people in wheelchairs They're told to give their money you

It depends upon the context in which it is used fear and guilt can be very good positive things

Fear of the wrath of god, we should be fearful of the wrath of god, which he is not guilt over sin

Guilt over sin a guilty conscience is a good thing. Now. It's got to be more than just A guilty conscience.

It can't be just a worldly sorrow. It's got to be a godly sorrow per second corinthian seven, but um

Feeling the guilt of our sin and being fearful of the wrath of god those in and of themselves.

Those those are good things But the way he's using it fear and guilt the religion is based upon fear and guilt how ironic that he would

Speak of fear and guilt in those terms In negative terms because religion is built upon that when he himself

Has been one of the world's most prolific purveyors Of this kind of fear and guilt which he now decries

Yeah, fear of being sick fear of being poor fear of dying of cancer

He exploited he has exploited that for decades To get sick people to give him money guilt of not having enough faith

Well, one of the surest ways you can demonstrate that you do have enough faith is to give money

So how ironic creflo That you would say that and if it's one subject that the church has used for a long time

Just out of curiosity. I went and looked At the southwest believers convention website this is kenneth copeland's big annual shin dig and creflo dollar has been one of the

Mainstays at the southwest believers convention. It's held in fort worth texas every summer But he's been one of the mainstays for many many many many

Years and as of right now as of this recording on the afternoon of 4th of july Uh, his his picture is still there.

Um eight or nine days ago, so there's been time for kenneth copeland to disinvite him and he apparently has not yet So might he yeah,

He actually taught rightly about Tithing he rightly said that tithing is not a new testament

Concept and uh, it's not and maybe some of you watching me right now You might be surprised to hear me say that because a lot of people think that that tithing is well

When you really dig down into tithing there were Um at least three different tithes in the old testament major tithes and a number of smaller ones but um

Each of those three primary tithes were 10 And the third one was uh only done every third year

So when you average it out Tithing was not really 10 as a lot.

Most people think tithing was actually 23 .3 and so If you think that because you've been giving 10 of your income that is tithing it's really not it really doesn't uh,

Quite rise up to that to that level, but you have to remember dear ones tithing in the old testament. This was for a theocratic

Israel okay, and their tithing in in many ways not in totality many ways

Um, you can draw some parallels to our taxes the the tithes that the hebrews the israelites paid were to fund the feasts and the festivals and and The gov their government if you will and their structure there as a nation

Which is a lot of what our tithes Tithes our taxes do today, but tithing is is never commanded in the new testament

The new testament never commands us to give a certain percentage Of our income to the church tithing was old testament israel.

We are now new testament church And so you can't draw a parallel. You can't just leap over from the old testament to the new testament a direct parallel Uh in regards to tithing you just can't do that now giving is

Uncommanded in the new testament giving absolutely is and go to second corinthians chapter 8 second corinthians chapter 9 to see the

New testament model for giving but as we give as new testament believers, we are to give out of Simply the abundance of what god has already given to us.

We give out of out of a grateful heart We give not out of compulsion we give as an expression of The kindness and generosity

That god has shown us and we give to the lord's work We give to our our local church, which is be the should be the first recipient of our of our giving and then other doctrinally sound ministries

That you know are doing faithful work. You can give to those ministries as well Kathy and I do do that So, um, that's the new testament pattern

Model for giving found second corinthians 8 and 9 not not a strict 10 tie Uh, you can't go to malachi chapter 3

To make a case for new testament giving so anyway creflo dollar goes through that and actually does a pretty pretty admirable job, but um

And then he goes on to tell you what god told him right now Okay Let's use a little logic, okay

I want you to write this down So if you listen to these folks if you watch them god talks to them all the time

God speaks to them so frequently That with with kenneth copeland, especially kenneth copeland sometimes seems annoyed

That god talks to him all the time because god will interrupt him in the middle of his sermon And talk to him and like couldn't you there's you can if you watch kenneth copeland enough you'll seem like Oh, yeah.

Yeah. Okay. Lord. All right. I'll do it almost annoyed that god interrupts him so often Speaking to him.

So god woke creflo dollar up spoke to him said write this. Okay a little common sense a little common sense these folks

Hear god so clearly and so frequently he is like this celestial chatty kathy doll and yet Somehow god did not bother

To tell creflo dollar in all of these many many many years of teaching error on tithing

That he was wrong Really? How's that work he's been teaching erroneously on tithing and giving for decades

And god didn't bother. I mean god woke him up this morning said hey creflo Uh, I want you to write this down yet for decades god didn't say

Uh, hey creflo, you know what you're teaching on tithing It's wrong Friends a little common sense a little common sense goes so far

God is not talking to kenneth copeland or jesse duplantis or joel osteen or joyce meyer or mike murdoch or joseph prince

Or andrew womack or todd white or any of these people are bidding any of none of them none of them none

None They're liars Creflo dollar has not repented

This is not repentance Now you might remember that in the last few years

Both benny hen and todd white each made a lot of news when they came out benny hen also came out

I think this was in 2019 He came out and he said Uh what i've been teaching on giving is wrong what i've been teaching about prosperity is wrong and he said he repented wow and yet it was literally not more than Two weeks he's right back teaching the same thing.

He'd always taught before That's not repentance todd white in 2020

Came out and he made a big announcement. I I repent I repent I haven't been teaching repentance

And so I repent from not teaching repentance and Within no time within a week or two.

He's back teaching the same old song and dance And lack of repentance that he's always taught or not not taught depending on a frame of reference here

So benny hen and todd white have both gone back to teaching the same things that they supposedly repented of It'll be the same way with creflo dollar

But even if he doesn't even if he does change his teaching on tithing from here on out

That's not repentance because dear friends genuine repentance bears genuine fruit

The way you'll know these men and women For joyce meyer and all the other women

But the way that you'll know these folks have truly repented the way you'll know creflo dollars truly repented Is when he comes out and he says

Told you god has spoken to me He has not spoken to me I have been teaching heresy

I've taught the little god's doctrine i've taught Spiritual death of jesus i've taught it's always god's will to be wealthy

It's always god's will to be finite to be physically healed as long as you have enough faith As long as you make the right positive confession.

I've been teaching word faith heresy for decades I've been lying to you for decades

All the times i've told you god has spoken to me. God has not spoken to me And so I now realize that I am not qualified to be in ministry and so As a sign of my repentance as evidence of this

This is what i'm going to do because this is what I want to do. This is what real repentance does I'm shutting my ministry down I'm giving every cent that the ministry has to doctrinally sound churches doctrinally sound ministries

Shutting it down And i'm going to join a doctrinally sound church and i'm no longer going to be behind the pulpit

I'm going to be in front of the pulpit in the pew Learning i'm going to put myself under the leadership of biblically qualified elders

And i'm going to listen to expository preaching I'm going to make myself a member of the church

Submit myself to church discipline. This is what i'm going to do because I realize i'm no longer qualified to be in ministry

And so i'm shutting it down That's what Creflo Dollar would do if he was truly repentant

This is not repentance That's what Benny Hinn would do if he was truly repentant

Todd White if he was truly repentant if they were truly repentant dear ones

So anything short of what i've just described Is not repentance and Creflo if you happen to be watching this

I want you to repent I want that for you. I want you to bear fruit in keeping with repentance

I want you to know the true gospel of Jesus Christ That the gospel is not about money.

The gospel is not about healing The gospel Is about being saved from the wrath of God The wrath of God that your sins have earned

You have Sinned against a thrice holy God You have lied you have stolen

You have stolen from professing believers You've exploited the poor the sick the desperate and the widows to fund your lavish lifestyle

You've put words in God's mouth that he emphatically did not say If you will humble yourself before Christ Confess to him your sin if you have a true godly sorrow over your sin

In which you grieve over your sin because you understand that your sin grieves God If you will confess your sin before him

Come to him in a godly sorrow and trust Christ The sinless son of God who lived a perfect life on this earth and willingly laid down his life on the cross

He bore the wrath of God Died on the cross three days later bodily raised from the dead proving himself to be who said he was

God in human flesh If you'll confess your sins before Christ come to him in a godly sorrow

And truly repent of your sin And the fruit of that repentance will be borne out

In what you do from here on out it will be borne out it will be evidence By you shutting your ministry down.

That would be repentance And I want that for you, I don't want you to go to hell

But that's where you're headed You've been teaching heresy for decades You've been partnering with and endorsing some of the most brazen obvious blood curdling toe -curling heretics ever
