The Problem With The Charismatic Movement In A Nutshell

I want to thank you very much for joining me for this podcast And so many of you have seen at least some of the videos that I've done over the last year or so detailing the massive massive undeniable complete and total face plant that all of the charismatic prophets have done in the last

Year or a little better now now they've all proven themselves to be false prophets many many times over well before January of 2020 but once January 2020 hit from January 2020 to January 2021 that calendar year there had the highest concentration of Some of the most globally impacting earth -shattering

Events that any of us have seen in our lifetimes I mean you could certainly point to things like World War two and you know,

Vietnam and certainly those were obviously huge earth -shattering events, but but for a such a high concentration of Different events 2020

January 2020 January 2021. I don't know you'd be really hard -pressed to match that so Great opportunity right for the prophets so called to at least get something right

But they didn't I mean they literally got nothing right? So a quick rundown

None of them saw kovat coming nary a one of them did and then once kovat did come many of them prophesied that it would go away very quickly and not become a pandemic and of course, there's

Different views on the meaning of that word, but whatever they decreed it to be gone. They banished it

Well that obviously didn't work It's still around and so they didn't they face planted on kovat

None of them saw the riots coming after the you know, the George Floyd incident none of them saw the riots coming that ensued and raged in Dozens and dozens and dozens of American cities all across the country for Months, I mean every single day and night for months only and none of them saw that coming.

How do you miss that? None of them saw that come none of them saw the riots at the

Capitol on January the 6th 2021 none of them saw that coming that none of them saw none of them saw the remember the remember the

Buffalo the Buffalo headdress guy, you know the guy that's standing in the Capitol with the with the with a big

With a big hat, you know shaped like a big bullet with two horns coming out the side No, don't know them saw that guy coming

For those of you who are race Steven aficionados, I hope you picked up what I just laid down there.

But anyway How do you miss that? How do you miss that guy? and and none of them

Got the United States presidential election, right? And and that is really stunning when you think oh and none of them saw

President Trump getting kovat None of them saw that coming and none of them got the presidential election, right?

and that was the really big thing and that's what has garnered most of the attention in Evangelical and secular circles as well

And and I suppose for good reason because here is is a monumental event that is

Planned. I mean everybody knew the election was coming It's it comes around pretty regular every four years.

And so everybody knew was coming on November the 4th 2020 and Literally 100 % of the charismatic prophets prophesied not guessed

Prophesied that Donald Trump would win the election and Despite there being issues with the election and I do believe there were issues with the election, but that's that's beside the point

They they not only prophesied that he would win the election See, some of them are trying to squirm out as a oh, well

Donald Trump really won Joe Biden should be president But they didn't just prophesy that he would win the election

They prophesied that he would serve a second consecutive term

He's obviously not serving a second consecutive term So, I mean just an incredible face plant

So here you have this massive event scheduled everybody knew it was coming and you got a 50 -50 shot at getting it, right?

just by guessing and they still got it wrong and so they they brought incredible reproach on the gospel and in the name of Christ and so Mario Murillo who is a charismatic prophet and he is a regular guest on Kenneth Copeland's YouTube channel the victory

Network Regular guests there Mario Murillo put up a video several weeks ago now and I watched it and when

I watched I thought There you go, that's it what he says in this video sums up the

Crux of the issue when it comes to the charismatic movement what he is about to say and I'm going to show you sums up in a nutshell what is so basically and Fundamentally wrong

With the charismatic movement. This is this is the the crux of the issue This is the root of everything that is wrong with the charismatic movement.

So I want you to watch this short video from Mario Murillo I'll I'll interrupt in a few places a few points to offer some commentary as we progress but again, so this is a video

Prophetic failure and how this is not really the most serious issue that we're dealing with here

Mario Murillo and I have a very important message for you Did the prophets?

Fail by predicting that Donald Trump would serve a second term as president of the

United States that is swirling through the body of Christ right now because of everything that's going on and I have several feelings about it, but I want to be careful that I divide emotion with fact

Let's begin many prophets said That Donald Trump would win this election

When he says many what he means by that is all of them said that and it's not again friends

It's not just an educated guess They prophesied that 100 % of them.

I almost wish I had predicted that to be honest with you. I did not That is a stunning statement

Mario Murillo is correct He did not actually prophesy that Donald Trump would win and serve a second

Consecutive term he did guess that he was and he was very much believing the other prophets who did so But he himself did not prophesy that but even now

Well, well after the election. Well, well after Biden's inauguration and into his second term

Mario Murillo actually says he wishes that he had He wishes that he had joined the other false prophets in their false prophesying that is a stunning statement

That is almost incomprehensible to me. He actually wishes that he had done that I guess so he too

Could be counted amongst the false prophets and incur the kind of judgment that The Bible says that they will incur that it's just a stunning statement

I I said I believed it, but I never said thus saith the Lord like many have

But I do feel that we are in dangerous territory If we reject it out of hand at this moment, it is not yet time for you to do that Yeah, it is actually

Again, for instance, we are way past the election. We are way past the inauguration Joe Biden is well into his term disastrous as though it is

Yeah, it is time We should be possessed of a much larger issue and I will get back to the issue of that prophetic word in a moment

Here is the larger issue We need to face the fact that something has happened that we have to confront

So dear ones here we are about to hear from Mario Murillo What is in his view a larger issue than whether or not the

Prophets got their prophecies about Donald Trump right what you're about to hear is in a nutshell

What is fundamentally wrong with the entire charismatic movement? Here we go

Now what should be possessing the body of Christ at this moment is not whether or not these prophets are right

But whether or not an election has been stolen Whether or not America is now under siege that should be on the mind of all of us that should occupy our thinking

That should galvanize our unity that should energize all of our efforts and There you have it dear ones that right there in a nutshell is

Exactly. What is wrong with the charismatic movement? What is most important is not whether or not the prophets got it, right not whether or not

The prophets falsely prophesied Put words in God's mouth that he did not say that's not the big issue

You see the real big issue is whether or not the election has been stolen

That's what is most important. That is what should be galvanizing the church right now

That's what's wrong with the charismatic movement in a nutshell Am I happy that Joe Biden is sitting in 1600

Pennsylvania Avenue right now? Nope, I'm not happy about it. Not nary a bit.

I didn't vote for Joe Biden, but you know what I understand

Romans 13 and I understand God's sovereignty and his providence and and all of this is

Playing out the way God has decreed it to play out. So I rest in the providence in the sovereignty of God I don't

I don't like the fact that Joe Biden's in the White House I seriously doubt he's gonna do a single thing with which

I agree. However long he serves But that's not the biggest issue

But it is according to the charismatics. You see the charismatics for the charismatics for these false prophets it is a bigger issue that the election has

Allegedly been stolen and I'm not downplaying those concerns. There are I absolutely believe there are legitimate concerns with How the election played out and the nuances of that but that's not the subject matter of this video those things aside

For the for these false prophets. It is a bigger issue that The election has been stolen

Then it is that they have brought untold Reproach on the name of Christ that they have put words in God's mouth that he did not

Say that they have made a laughingstock out of Christians and Remember dear ones what the world believes about Christianity it gets from Christian television

It gets from TBN and Daystar and these televangelists and these false prophets when the world thinks about Christians and what

Christianity is the world's not looking at people like me or people like you know,

John MacArthur Steve Lawson or Votie Balcombe or Jim Osmond or you know, doctrinally sound guys who

Believe in the inerrancy and the sufficiency. That's a big one. By the way, the sufficiency of Scripture there

They're not looking at people like us. They're looking at Christians with the big platforms

The Joel Osteen's the Kenneth Copeland's the Benny Hinn's the Joyce Meyer's the

Beth Moore's And all these other false prophets Mario Murillo doesn't have a huge Platform, but he's he's up -and -coming.

But anyway, that that's what in Atheists make videos and put them on YouTube mocking these people mocking these false prophets rightly so but they think they think that that's the

That's a fair representation of Christianity. That's a fair representation of Christ followers

And it's not by any stretch It is very telling that they think that the election being stolen is a bigger deal

That should galvanize the church far more than whether or not the prophets got their prophecies, right and That's the issue.

That's they really don't think it's a big deal To falsely prophesy.

It's just not a big deal The election that's that's the big deal. I want to read to you a couple of other passages before we conclude here

Psalm 138 verse 2 will begin with verse 1 for context. I Will give you thanks with all my heart.

I will sing praises to you before the gods I will bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name

For your loving -kindness and your truth for you have magnified your word according to all your name

You have magnified your word According to all your name.

You see the the Word of God in the name of God are synonymous

God magnifies his word To the same level to the same extent that he magnifies his name

God's words Spoke the universe into existence You cannot divorce

The Word of God from the name of God You cannot divorce those things.

They are not Desperate things they are not disparate things. They they are they are one in the same

He magnifies them both his word in his name Above everything, but the

Charismatics just don't see it that way. They just don't think it's a big deal To put words in God's mouth that he did not say it's not a big deal to them

But it is a big deal to God. In fact God prescribed the death penalty for false prophets and if we were still living in Old Testament Israel if we were still under a

Old Testament Theocracy Then these people would be put to death

Thankfully for them we're living on the other side of the cross Magnifies his word in his name above all things that has not changed

That has not diminished the jealousy that God has for himself for his name for his word

Has not diminished in the slightest Charismatics just don't think it's a big deal

Job said in Job chapter 23 verse 12. I have not departed from the command of his lips

I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my necessary food

Job treasured the words from God's mouth more than his food more than his sustenance more than his very life

That is the that is the view that is the value that that Job placed upon the

Word of God and Sadly that just cannot be said for the charismatics

Whether or not they got the prophets got the their prophecies, right? That's not what's most important whether or not we brought reproach on the name of Christ That's not what's important whether or not we put words in God's mouth that he magnifies

Along with his name That's just not what's important. That's not the big deal.

The big deal is whether or not The election has been stolen Now what should be possessing the body of Christ at this moment is not whether or not these prophets are right but whether or not an election has been stolen and That in a nutshell is exactly what is wrong with the charismatic prophetic movement

They take neither the name of God nor the Word of God Nearly as seriously as they should
