How to Stop Looking at Porn

If you watch porn and pleasure yourself and you know you need to stop, there's a simple solution for ending this lurid obsession with the flesh.

You won't have to take notes or remember some cutesy acronym. Here it is. Stop looking at porn.

It's that simple and you know it. You know what you're doing is evil. God hates it. Have you not read that he will judge the sexually immoral and throw them in the lake of fire?

Is porn so great that you would risk going to hell for it? God forbid you've become so enslaved by your lust you don't even think it's wrong anymore.

It's harmless, you say. It's not actually sex. I'm not actually committing adultery. If that's your attitude, perhaps

God has already turned you over to a debased mind to be destroyed by your passions. You've suppressed the truth with unrighteousness.

God have mercy on you. But if there's part of you that by the Holy Spirit is convicted over this, then stop.

The Bible says flee from sexual immorality, not go through five stages, not enter a program.

Get away from it. For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.

You might say, it's not that simple. Yes, it is. You can stop looking at it right now.

But that doesn't get it out of my mind, you say. You're right. Like a bad drug habit, you may have done some serious damage to your mind.

Turn to Christ, who forgives sin and will cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Pray to him,

Psalm 51, create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

James 4, 7 -9 says, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.

Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double -minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep when we understand the text.
