In today's video, we're going to be talking about a clip from a progressive Christian. This particular gentleman is a pseudo -pastor who wears the clothing of a clergyman, complete with LGBT symbols on it.

In other words, he is cosplaying as a Christian pastor. This is nothing more than a bizarre form of fanfiction.

This man should not be considered a pastor because he does not meet the qualifications given in God's Word for that office.

1 Timothy 3 says that pastors should be above reproach, respectable, sober -minded, and able to teach.

None of these attributes describe this man in the slightest way. In fact, to anyone who has a grasp on what the

Bible says, this man could never even be mistaken accidentally for a true pastor. It's like handing a cashier a rainbow birthday card and then telling him that it's actually a dollar bill.

Everyone knows that it's a complete counterfeit. And you see, because this man is not a true biblical pastor, he does not do what a true biblical pastor is supposed to do.

In fact, he does the exact opposite. Rather than rightly handling the Word of Truth, as 2 Timothy 2 .15

says, he twists the truth in order to support a sinful and unbiblical worldview. And that is what we will show you in today's video.

Notice that as we play this man's clip, the top of it says, Jesus affirmed the

LGBTQ plus community. So without further ado, let's allow him to offer the so -called evidence for this shocking claim.

Watch this. Jesus said you love, period. Jesus said you welcome people, period.

Jesus said you extend radical hospitality, period. So the first thing he says is that Jesus, quote, told us to love, period.

And this argument, if it could even be called that, is very popular among progressive Christians.

They support all manner of unbiblical things because, well, Jesus told us to love one another or something like that.

And besides being completely false, this argument is also incredibly shallow theologically speaking.

Frankly, it's hard to contend with. Not because it's convincing in any perceivable way, but because there's hardly any substance to it at all.

First, Jesus did not tell us to, quote, love, period, as if that sums up His entire ministry.

That is a radical oversimplification. He did not merely tell us to participate in so -called love at the expense of virtually everything else

He said. Quite the opposite. In John 14, 15, Jesus says that those who truly love

Him will keep His commandments. And Jesus didn't just talk about love, by the way, despite what progressive

Christians may have told you. Jesus began His ministry in Matthew 4, 17, saying, quote,

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Jesus is loving, but He calls people to repent.

This would undoubtedly include sexually immoral actions like LGBT behavior. But the first thing we need to recognize is that limiting

Jesus' ministry to the singular concept of love is incredibly unbiblical.

And it becomes very dangerous when you use your own concept of love rather than getting it from the

Scriptures. Moreover, Jesus has warned us that people who seek to ignore His other teachings in the name of love are actually demonstrating that they themselves do not love

Him. So don't let progressive Christians like this pull the wool over your eyes and lie to you.

This claim is simply not biblical at all. But with that said, let's allow Him to offer His next argument in the video.

Watch this. Jesus did not say one single word of condemnation about anyone based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

So now He suggests that Jesus never said anything remotely condemning about anyone's sexual orientation, ever.

Therefore, the headline of the video must be true, and He does in fact affirm the LGBTQ plus community, right?

No. Not by a long shot. When progressive Christians do this, they are quite often presenting something called red -letter

Christianity. And red -letter Christianity suggests that specifically the words of Christ, which for some

Bibles are printed in red, hence the name, are the words that ought to be lived by. In other words, they are trying to capitalize on the fact that conservative

Christians put a heavy emphasis on Jesus, as we should. But the next step they take is a fundamentally flawed one.

At this point, they suggest that we ought to prioritize the words of Jesus over and above the other words we find in the canon of Scripture.

And according to them, Jesus never said anything specifically and directly about homosexuality.

And therefore, if we are to follow His teaching on this topic, we must be LGBT -affirming, right?

Again, not so fast. First off, even if it was the case that Jesus never specifically spoke on the topic of homosexuality, that would not prove that He supported it.

That's not the same thing. And for the record, Jesus never spoke directly on the topic of dogfighting or selling cocaine, for example.

Does that mean that those behaviors are perfectly ethical in His eyes? Obviously not. And second, my encouragement would be to not get caught up in the trap that is being set for you in this argument.

You see, there is a fundamental assumption embedded in this claim that is not supported by Scripture.

And that assumption is that only the words of Jesus carry ultimate authority. This is absolutely unbiblical and blasphemous.

In Matthew 5 .18, Jesus Himself says, For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the

Law until all is accomplished. Jesus directly affirmed the

Old Testament Law. But that's not all. Jesus also makes a practice of quoting the

Old Testament Scriptures as if they are authoritative and true. All throughout His ministry, Jesus can be seen asking

His opponents this question, Have you not read? For example, in Matthew 19 .4,

Jesus says, Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said,

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?

Jesus affirms both traditional marriage and traditional gender as defined by the

Word of God in the Old Testament. So to suggest that you can conveniently separate the words of Christ from the broader

Word of God is heretical and absolutely absurd. 2 Timothy 3 .16 says that all

Scripture is breathed out by God. And this includes Romans 1 .26 -27, which rebukes homosexuality in the strongest possible terms, calling it unnatural, a dishonorable passion, and a shameless act.

The reason progressives want to focus on the red letters is because it makes it a lot easier for them to deceive you that way.

This is a trick that they use to get you to throw away 90 % of your Bible into the garbage.

And if you fall for the trick and do this, you are playing right into their hand. So please, don't fall for it.

And with that, let's allow him to finish his argument. Watch this. In fact, the only mention

Jesus really makes of it is this passage in Matthew. Maybe you're familiar with it.

It's actually an affirmation. It's buried in ancient language, and it's surrounded by this weird teaching about divorce.

But what Jesus said is this, that if you are a eunuch, and you have been a eunuch since birth, that was an ancient way of saying that if you differed from what was expected in terms of what we would call today sexual orientation or gender identity, that if you were a eunuch and you had been a eunuch from birth, that you were loved by God.

So now he says that in Matthew 19, Jesus talks about those who are eunuchs. Either they are eunuchs from birth or made eunuchs by men, or they make themselves a eunuch for the kingdom of God.

This progressive Christian confidently declares that a eunuch is essentially a transgender, someone who does not fit the gender expectations that have been thrust upon them by society.

And notably, Jesus does not speak with condemnation about being a eunuch in the passage.

Therefore, according to them, it stands to reason that Jesus must actually approve of transgenderism, right?

No, not even close. There is not a single shred of evidence that would demonstrate this. Historically, a eunuch was a man who, for one reason or another, was incapable of procreating.

Typically, this would refer to those who were castrated by royalty in order to take up a position in the royal court, as was common in those days.

There is not even a microscopic bit of evidence that would indicate a eunuch was anything like a modern so -called transgender.

I wish I could refute the evidence for this position, but I can't stress this enough. There isn't any. Seriously, the whole claim is a figment of the progressive

Christian imagination. To put it simply, there is no real biblical text or scholarship to support the idea that a eunuch was a man who wanted to be a woman, or vice versa.

And therefore, this passage has nothing to do with affirming transgenderism in the slightest. And to suggest otherwise would be a complete and total sham, which is a good way of describing the entire progressive

Christian worldview. So just to recap, in the video, we've seen this progressive pseudo -pastor attempting to use the love of Jesus to affirm sin.

Then he tried to isolate the words of Christ and use them against the rest of Scripture. And finally, he utterly twisted and manipulated

Matthew 19 to support the LGBT movement and implicate Jesus in it as well.

Each and every one of these arguments is baseless and unbiblical. So rest assured, we don't need to be afraid of progressive

Christianity. Not at all. We simply need to compare it to God's Word, and we will quickly find that the two are incompatible.
