Christian. First, take a look at how Jakes addresses his daughter. Woman Thou Art Loosed comes to an end today, but that does not mean that there is not something next.

Sarah is one of the pastors of One Church in Los Angeles, which is described as a

Potter's House church. Potter's House is the name of the church that T .D. Jakes pastors.

On the One Church website, under Our Pastors, it says, Pastors Toure Roberts and Sarah Jakes Roberts have dedicated their lives, voices, and resources to creating transformational experiences that activate one's true self, resulting in a deeper relationship with God and collision with purpose.

So, both Sarah's husband and Sarah are described as being pastors of One Church. This, of course, is contrary to the clear teaching of Scripture.

First Timothy chapter 2 and verse 12, I do not prevent a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man.

Rather, she is to remain quiet. So, because the Bible says so, and that's it. But also notice what

One Church is all about. It's about creating transformational experiences that activate one's true self, which results in a deeper relationship with God.

There's nothing here about proclaiming the gospel of sin and salvation, but rather it emphasizes people's true self, which seems to obscure the reality of people's sin and enmity with God.

They don't talk about sin, righteousness, and judgment to come. They are infatuated with self and wealth.

They have no concern for the lost. They are not warning every man. They may present every man perfect in Christ.

It's the ultimate betrayal. That's what I hate about prosperity preaching. Second, take a look at how

Jakes introduces Sarah. Stand up, girl. This is your moment.

Walk to this stage. Jake says to Sarah, this is your moment.

Because for Jakes, the priority is showmanship and spectacle. It's about him and Sarah, and not actually

Jesus Christ. He needs people to see him as anointed, to see

Sarah as anointed, and he needs to make a show of all of this, so that people feel dependent upon their ministries to hear from God.

Jakes doesn't say that this moment is about the gospel or about the word of God. Rather, this spectacle is completely centered around their personalities.

Third, Jakes quotes John the Baptist, who said in John 3 30, he must increase, but I must decrease.

However, Jakes applies this verse to himself and Sarah, putting Sarah in the place of Jesus.

The time has come that I must decrease, that you might increase.

And it was then that God spoke to me and said, it is time for you to decrease, that she might increase.

The fact that Jakes would twist this scripture passage and apply it to himself and Sarah demonstrates the man -centered nature of Jakes' ministry.

It's all about him and Sarah, how special they are, not about Christ, and simple faithfulness to God's word.

Fourth, Jakes says that all of this is Sarah's calling from God. This is not an inheritance.

This is a calling. You are not standing on this stage for family legacy.

If you didn't have the oil, you would not be standing here. To Jakes, Sarah is called to do what she is doing because she has the oil.

But again, Jakes completely ignores the fact that God has not in fact called Sarah to be a pastor.

And Sarah is in serious rebellion to the word of God every time she gets up and preaches to the men in her church.

Fifth, Jakes connects all of this to Joel Osteen and Lakewood Church. You rose to the stage at Lakewood to introduce me.

T .D. Jakes and Sarah Jakes Roberts' intimate connection to Joel Osteen and Lakewood Church is entirely expected since T .D.,

Sarah, and Joel Osteen are all extremely man -centered in what they teach about Christianity.

Sixth, Jakes talks about preaching a gospel that leads to people hating and wanting to kill her.

And some will make a career out of trying to kill you. Preach it when they like you.

Preach it when they hate you. I'm curious what exactly T .D. and Sarah Jakes Roberts teach that would result in this kind of hatred from other people.

We already know that Oprah, who is a full representative of the world, loves T .D. Jakes and his quote -unquote gospel message of prosperity.

His name El Shaddai means more than enough. Why would a God whose name means more than enough stop at enough?

I understood very clearly because God doesn't just bless you and say enough. He allows your cup to run it over.

And as someone who is basically following in the footsteps of people like her father and Joel Osteen, whom

Oprah is also a big fan of, it really doesn't seem like Sarah is preaching a message that would be hated by the world.

Perhaps Jakes is actually talking about people like us, who hate the false, distorted gospel people like T .D.

Jakes, Joel Osteen, and Sarah Jakes Roberts preach. But the fact that Jakes mentions people wanting to kill you suggests that Jakes probably isn't talking about us since he should know that we are about proclaiming the real truth of God's word and not about physical violence.

Seventh, and now we get to this moment in the spectacle Jakes is creating for passing the baton to Sarah.

So what was that? Jakes puts his hand on Sarah's head and then basically pushes her until she falls down lying prostrate on the floor.

Where in scripture do we have this kind of pattern for transferring leadership and ministry from one person to another?

Of course the answer is nowhere. All of this is about spectacle.

All of this is about showmanship. All of this is about T .D. Jakes and Sarah Jakes Roberts.

It's not about the truth, it's not about God's word, and it's not about proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Benny Hinn does this exact same thing where he supposedly slays people in the spirit and they fall down prostrate on the floor.

What I want you to do is stand there and just look at Mr. Ignatenko. None of this is biblical and all of this is about emotional manipulation and exalting these ministers who supposedly have a special anointing from God.

And then some people help Sarah stand back up. So what really happened? Did she actually faint?

Was she actually slain by the spirit? Or was this all just a performance to hype up the emotion of the event?

I think we all know the answer to these questions. Eighth, Jakes just can't help but continue to use completely irrelevant bible passages to make everything sound more spiritual for the audience.

Did Jacob put his coat on Joseph so that Joseph would speak to people around the world? No. Jacob put his coat on Joseph simply because Joseph was his favorite child.

Either Jakes is ignorant about this or Jakes doesn't care and just wants to use anything in the bible to make events like these look and sound more impressive to audiences who are ignorant of the truth.

Ninth, what's the purpose of Jakes passing the baton to Sarah in this hyper -spiritualized manner?

And help them to evolve into their destiny and their career and their family and their creativity.

Of course, the answer is obvious. It's because for T .D. Jakes and Sarah Jakes Roberts, this is the gospel.

The gospel isn't about sin, wrath, hell, salvation, and submission to all that the

Bible to help people accomplish their dreams rather than following after Christ's footsteps and proclaiming an offensive gospel message to the world.

Tenth, Sarah's husband is fully on board with her being co -pastor and preaching at one church with him.

And every time she's preaching and you and I are standing up side by side. A man of God who is truly submissive to the word of God would lead his wife and lead his congregation rather than ignore the roles

God has given to men and women in the family and church for his glory and for their joy.

A man of God would recognize that the distinction between men and women in the family and church is an illustration of the gospel and that to remove this distinction robs people of an illustration of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

But it's also for illustration, this beautiful picture of the relationship between Jesus Christ and his bride, the church.

Jesus Christ who gives us a picture of what real male headship and marriage is supposed to look like when he lays down his life for his bride, when he takes upon himself the sins of his people and suffers the punishment due to their sins so that their righteousness being imputed or their sinfulness being imputed to him, his righteousness can be imputed to them so that in this double imputation he can atone for their sins and save them from their sins and grant them entree into eternity with the triune

Christian teachers, Sarah doesn't start with sin, human depravity or our desperate need for a savior.

She starts with our worth. Like most things it starts with what's on the inside.

We want to talk about being a millennial woman in this generation. The time is now for you to set your city on fire.

Sarah's message is about realizing your full potential and about women empowerment, not about recognizing our nothingness and depravity apart from God's transforming power.

And I hear God saying that I'll show you how to use that power. For TD Jakes and Sarah, the

Holy Ghost is a power that we can use for our own good. Again, this is a man -centered message about taking control of our lives and using

God to accomplish our own dreams and not about the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

I stand in front of you for every teen mom, any woman who's ever been raped, divorced, sexually abused and I say thank you for this moment where we will be loosed from our past and set free to walk into what

God has for us. Of course, I have absolutely nothing against helping survivors of sexual abuse and I think it's great that Sarah wants to help women like these.

But ultimately, what these women need the most is the true gospel of Jesus Christ, which it seems they will not receive from Sarah or TD Jakes, who seem to regularly skip the essential prerequisite about sin, repentance and salvation through faith alone in Christ alone.

Sarah says the devil should have took us out when he had the chance. But again, it's not us who have any of the power to change the world.

It's Christ in us. As they demonstrate over and over again, the message of Sarah and TD Jakes is constantly man -centered, pointing people to their own power and potential rather than to their utter dependence upon God to do anything good.
