How can you know God? How can anyone come to know God? If He dwells in light, unapproachable and full of glory, if we are full of darkness and ignorance, how is it possible to know

Old Testament you've got this succession and progression that God, having spoken, continues to speak and to make known

His glorious person and His saving purposes over time. But all those prophets were pointing forwards, and that's the point that the writer to the

Hebrews wants to make, that while God has been speaking, that in these last days

God has spoken to us by His own Son. This is the pinnacle of revelation.

This is the highest, clearest, brightest and most glorious word that God might have spoken.

God known to us and to bring us to God. And so the writer to the

Hebrews uses these wonderful phrases that the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate

Son of God, is the brightness of God's glory and the express image of His person.

He is the one in whom and from whom the glory of God shines forth in all its excellence.

If you want to see the majesty of God, you must look at the Lord Jesus Christ.

And so we should consider Him, we should dwell upon Him, we should come to God through Him and by Him, we should delight in Him by whom

He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to God except by Him, no one knows

And this then is our glorious privilege that the one of whom the prophets spoke has now come and in Him God is making
