Yeah, and everyone on Facebook. Thanks for watching all these. Yeah, I know there was a lot of them this weekend
00:48

01:10
Well, hello everyone welcome back to the final episode from the fight laugh feast concert
01:20
What a conference Well Jason what do you think everything you expected man or more?
01:30
We ever see the movie dodgeball, yeah Jason Bateman's like Oh cotton.
01:36
He's got his hair all just going everywhere right or all those dodgeball games That what it feels like to you.
01:42
Oh, man, it's been a whirlwind, but it has been an awesome whirlwind of events Yeah, I mean so many speakers and so many cool conversations.
01:51
And yeah, this has been awesome Yeah, we started Friday at 7 o 'clock or was it 6 o 'clock?
01:56
Seven the time change has got me off. I don't know. Yeah, and then man's Our Thursday we started I'm sorry.
02:02
We started Thursday. Yeah At 7 and then all day Friday. We put in a nice 12
02:07
Yep, 13 hour day there and all day today where we're at right now. It's about 6 o 'clock
02:14
Central time so put another full day date today, and we've did I think 11 interviews
02:21
Sounds or podcast mini podcast if that sounds right? Yeah, we heard all kinds of different speakers all along the theme of preparing ourselves for Essentially war battle battle.
02:36
Yeah. Yeah, you know and it is it is a battle when you are battling the secular agenda
02:41
When you're battling the flesh when you're battling a culture that wants absolutely nothing to do with Christ, right?
02:49
And what the gospel stands for so it was it was exciting People are milling around right now.
02:55
We still have a dinner to go to after this But it was awesome to see about a thousand people come together from all across the
03:03
United States We met people in multiple states. Yeah, and to come together and Just lift up the name of the
03:11
Lord and be one in heart and one in theology as well, too
03:17
Yeah in mission. Yeah. Yeah, I mean I What was your what was your biggest takeaways from this?
03:23
Who did you like or anyone say did anyone say anything that just really stuck out to you so many nuggets of?
03:32
Wisdom spoken from that stage. Yeah, I really do feel like a sports commentator right now.
03:37
Why is that? It's cool, no, no, this is this has been a great a great conference to to definitely be at Oh, yeah watching if you could flip around the camera
03:48
It's just like, you know, a couple hundred milling around chaos people setting stuff up tearing it down and we're at our little booth
03:55
Yeah, you know just Commentary. Yeah. Yeah. Oh man play in color that ninth hole was crazy
04:03
But but no, yeah I mean everybody that we interviewed everybody that we had conversations with I mean, you know, there's
04:10
Gary tomorrow, right? Oh, there he is What's up, yeah, thank you.
04:16
Yeah, he he told us earlier he said I'm I'm still trying to yeah Gary's talking to Jason here off -camera
04:25
See what's going on. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's up people are listening. They like it. I Will I'll get it to you for sure
04:33
Gary's asking about his episode that was earlier today Yeah, he's already put it up on his we've already got that up on all the podcast platforms in video
04:42
If you want to watch it, you can go to Our Facebook page we did a live Facebook there and that's at dead men walking podcast and then as always if you want to follow us on Instagram That's at dead men walking podcast as well on Instagram where we put up clips and audio and things like that But yeah, so you were saying yeah
05:01
Gary for Gary so rudely interruption that Scholar and author.
05:06
He's amazing. You guys really need to check out all of his stuff. Hey, sir But yeah, yeah, he was talking eschatology.
05:13
This guy's About 30 eschatology books and he says I'm still trying to figure out parts of it
05:21
I'm 30 books behind. Yeah. Yeah, and I'm in trouble. I'll try to figure it out. So that was comforting.
05:27
Yeah, exactly Yeah, yeah You know rod rod brought out some really cool points
05:32
I never really thought about how maybe in 30 40 years people will actually be living on the moon
05:39
Yeah, and I mean that really hit me. I mean, you know, like let's let's start planning a church right now You know, that'd be the the biggest church plant ever, right?
05:48
Absolutely Trying to put a church on the moon first first Baptist Moon I don't know what what what what
05:56
I have no idea but you want to what when? When we're at Rod Martin was speaking.
06:02
I thought that was really good where he took basically technology and the futuristic outlook and intertwined it with The biblical worldview and then he actually expanded on that a little bit here on the podcast earlier today that that episode is up as well
06:16
Obviously Doug Wilson was phenomenal with his ten points of war and method verse
06:24
Principle you can find a lot of that in his book rules for reformers, which I do which I do have
06:30
Pick that up here. I've read that. Well, I've listened but I read it
06:35
You know, you can't say you read it if you listen, my wife says she always corrects me. Come on, Sam But we had
06:42
I mean so many good guests on for us, but just we were edified to at the conference It was so cool that they let us come down set up the podcast gear do some live stuff
06:50
Yeah, but like I said, we had two days in a row back -to -back That was just like yeah, 12 hours of just heavy -hitting just going theological stuff, right?
06:59
That really like I said edified blessed us educated us and I think it was it was a pretty cool experience
07:07
All in all don't you think Oh definitely I mean and and just getting to talk to a bunch of different people from around the country actually
07:13
I'd spoke to Nathan Anderson I want to say okay. He's got a movie
07:19
He's got a couple movies coming out. Well, actually I already saw one of his movies. It's about Post Mill. Anybody's interested
07:24
What's the movie? Do you know the name or no? I'm gonna Google it for me earth on earth as it is in heaven
07:31
Okay, I know that you can find that on YouTube. I watch that on YouTube He's coming out with another one called called teach all nations.
07:38
We should have actually had him over here He's a really interesting guy Well, you know how we like to do these shows here when they're live if we see someone walk by and they want to jump
07:47
Talk to them You know, we don't mind it. We're right next to you.
07:53
I love who were next to our booth Oh, I'm Glenn sunshine man, like historian theologian professor
08:00
Academic I mean the smartest dude in the world. Yeah picked up a couple of his books He spoke on day two.
08:06
I was a day one or day two. I can't remember. They're all starting to run together We've basically been inside this arena for three days
08:12
Yeah, you know from Sun up to Sun down I'm an introvert I've never spoken this much in my life
08:17
I don't think yeah, oh There goes there goes our music director for the
08:23
Holler out. I was gonna ask what his name was his favorite chord. Yeah Jesus hopefully, it's
08:28
Jesus. Yeah And it's funny because he basically taught us how to sing as a choir
08:37
Yeah, yeah on the very first day. Yeah, and every day we opened with a psalm Yeah the first night beer and psalms and then every morning and every evening we closed and opened and closed with the psalm and the
08:48
Doxology just now right the final and I'll tell you what you hear we're saying that a few times. Yeah, it's been powerful
08:54
It's just powerful. It's 25 seconds long and it's like man, let's roll that like five more times
08:59
I mean a thousand people's hands lifted up. All it is is voices singing the doctor Doxology and then at the end, you know just that long.
09:07
Amen, right? It's so great to see that. Yeah But they're coming back next year.
09:13
They said Lord willing. They're gonna come back next year October 14th or 16th, and that's South, South Dakota No, he said they they're talking coming here right to this exact same spot here outside of Nashville cool
09:24
So we'll talk to the cross -politic guys, but I would see you know Would love to have some listeners that would want to come down.
09:32
Maybe maybe that's what I can get a get a bus or something Man, you know, let's get something going. That's what
09:37
Jason I said, we need to get a couple more guys down here We're even thinking about bringing our families because it's very family friendly, right?
09:44
A lot of younger kids here a lot of wives here as well, which was cool because I thought oh, you know fight laugh feast rowdy
09:52
Christian Reformed is gonna be a bunch of guys but then what you what you realize very quickly because I'm the same way is a lot of guys in reformed theology are very
10:03
Family oriented because not only are we the head of the hall. Look who we got coming over Luke's coming over.
10:08
Oh, yeah Very good you are We're at which
10:16
I jump on right here brother, you're a big guy I don't know if you can get that close to Jay there and you are up you are a big
10:23
Yeah, man They call me the bear Why don't you introduce yourself to the listeners and the viewers tell us what your name is?
10:32
Well, they know it's Luke Yeah, but tell us what your name is and and who you're affiliated with and I don't know We're just kind of giving a recap on the on the conference right now, man.
10:40
Yeah, my name is Luke Pearson I you might know me as Luke the bear from apology of studios. I am you
10:47
Discipleship pastor at apology of church in Mesa, Arizona And I am here this week representing an abortion now man and Or action for life nice.
10:59
Now, what's the difference between the two because I see him right question. Yeah, I'm glad you asked and abortion now is our
11:07
Gospel prophetic side of things. It's a ministry of apology at church
11:14
For ending abortion and then action for life is actually the abortion project of red state reform which is 501 c4 lobbyist group nice that we just started this year.
11:29
So, okay. Okay, cool So, what'd you think about the conference did you take a ways or glad you were a part of it?
11:36
Yeah, it's been amazing I'll be honest. I have Missed a lot of the talks because I've been talking to so many people right?
11:43
Yeah, we were too. It's been great though, it's been really encouraging and it's blessed me a lot just to be able to talk to a lot of people meet a lot of people and Definitely you guys go to things like this a lot.
11:55
Is this the first time you've seen something like this? I mean, I I mean you guys do like g3 and all No, no, okay, honestly, we're usually so busy.
12:03
Yeah. Yeah I don't have time for stuff, right? I I wish I had more.
12:08
Yeah, I was like that So, yeah, we honestly we weren't even planning on coming this telling about a month ago.
12:16
Oh, yeah I remember when it was announced that apology. It was yeah there you guys were gonna show up.
12:22
Yeah, so cool Yeah, it's good man. I solidarity. Oh, yeah. I mean the cross politics our boys.
12:27
Yeah You know, we're we're family so I it's a it's a honor and privilege to be here
12:35
So how so you live in Arizona then? Yep. Yep So how's everything going out there with like the mass and the kovat and the any pushback or like even in within the church?
12:44
How you guys handling that that's still a hot topic like nine months later. Yeah, so we have remained open apology of church
12:51
We never close Yeah, we don't shut down for nobody and It was hard,
12:59
I mean it was a challenge at first but we were of the perspective we had put out a statement we said look ultimately, this is the under the jurisdiction of pastors, right and We weren't judging any pastors for shutting down, right?
13:16
And we we said if if we feel like our congregation is at all in danger We we will do that if we feel need necessary.
13:25
Yeah, but it hasn't been necessary You know, we want to quarantine the sick not the healthy So we remain open the whole time which has been honestly a blessing
13:35
God's Grown our church by about 150 people Wow. Yeah, which is really amazing.
13:40
It's also been a lot of extra work The half our schedules are meeting with new people, but it's awesome and exciting
13:48
So, yeah, I mean Arizona we were pretty pretty laid -back with mask stuff until The top of July and then there was a spike and so they had originally shut down like business some businesses and stuff like that and We just kind of like whatever.
14:07
I didn't really even wear a mask until July and then they got like Kind of strict with some stuff and so I would wear it occasionally if I had to yeah, you know but they coming here like they're still like Pretty militant about that and obviously if you hear my voice
14:26
I like Had an hour allergic reaction wearing the mask on the stupid plane coming over here
14:33
And so right now I got a cold. I've been fighting off. I sound like the Hodge twins
14:44
So, yeah, anyways, so it's been Arizona's been pretty Pretty I'm thankful.
14:51
I'll say that despite our governor being an idiot. I'm thankful Michigan yeah, well,
14:57
I actually went to Michigan really for my sabbatical. Sorry and You know,
15:02
I was up north so it wasn't too bad. Yeah. Yeah, but you know There were some places where I was like man
15:08
Like I haven't even worn a mask and people are looking at me right? Why aren't you wearing a man? right
15:14
So it was a little weird. It's nice. We got it. We got a little victory today that our Michigan Supreme Court ruled all of her executive orders
15:23
Unconstitutional really? Yeah, which just I came out. Yeah. I know you guys are from Michigan. Yeah Yeah, absolutely.
15:28
We're Monroe just above Toledo right in between. Okay, Detroit until 30 miles south of Detroit Okay, so I'm I was born in Grand Rapids.
15:36
Oh, okay and so my My dad's side of the family is all from Flint and Grand Blanc.
15:42
Yeah, my mom's side is all from Lapeer Okay, look at that. We got a little Michigan connection. Yeah. Yeah, I saw the
15:48
Michigan on your yeah copier. I was no blue Which I can't even have for another month So, yeah, if that's why
15:58
I was there actually I was up my grandpa had a cabin up in Grayling I don't know. Yeah. Yeah, totally. I grew up Higgins Lake.
16:04
Yeah. Yeah, we were just there. I grew up He had 88 acres up in Grayling and a cabin and that's where I did all my vacationing it's beautiful until about 25 guys and so it's been 15 years
16:18
Roughly since I've been back there and I took my kids up and saw showed him where he's
16:23
So it was it at did you go to Higgins Lake? I did actually like south or north which side north side north side
16:30
Okay. Okay. Is the water still as clear as it? Oh, yeah I used to love going there. We were like, you know, it was uh, it was taking
16:36
Lake State Park on the north side You know, so we were like probably 150 yards out and it was like three feet.
16:45
Yeah. Yeah, right crystal clear sand. Yeah Well, welcome back to the Michigan tourism. Yeah. Hey, man
16:53
Yeah, I love it over there man. So beautiful country I got a question for you because I know guys like you and especially your team out there in Arizona You guys are always looking forward.
17:02
I mean, you're always going how can we affect the culture? How can we bring glory to God? What's the next thing that we can do?
17:08
So what's coming up for you guys? I mean, are you I mean, you're still going hardcore with end abortion now. Yeah, which is a huge success
17:15
Yeah, hearing about a TV show possibly is that through you guys with with Marcus or is no,
17:22
I know that's all Marcus Okay, he's actually moving to Moscow the end of this Okay I'm trying to move to Moscow, too.
17:32
So There you go Doing that and then
17:38
I mean, are you just really focusing on the end abortion now stuff? Obviously you got the apology or radio stuff that's still booming.
17:46
Yeah, you guys got a lot going on all of the above Yeah. Yeah, so and then I you know,
17:51
I wasn't busy enough. So we went and started red state and actually So is that gonna be national or is that just national?
17:58
Yeah, is that just yeah, okay So it's not for the state legislature. It's so we can help in other states. We're actually already
18:04
Helping some other states. We have connections in Indiana, Ohio Texas, Oklahoma, Alaska One of the
18:15
Carolinas, I don't remember which one Missouri there's a bunch how are we gonna get you in Michigan? I mean, yeah, let me know.
18:22
I mean I was a legislative liaison at our state Capitol I'm an elected official in Michigan and I have some connections up to the federal level
18:29
So if if you know good relationships with my congressman and well, not so much with my senators because they're both raging liberals, but But yeah, give me a call offline and we'll figure out if we can try to infiltrate
18:41
Michigan I'll tell you what we need is a State representative or senator or how they do it,
18:47
Michigan, but as a state legislator that is willing to Put forth an abolition bill.
18:53
Okay, and we can go from there. Okay, cool. We'll talk about it, man. Awesome I'm sure we'll be in contact.
18:58
That's what we're doing right now in the air, Indiana goodness Why I grew up in Indiana Oh just outside of Chicago.
19:04
So, okay. Yeah, I have roots everywhere. Yeah, very So Yeah, so Yeah, so that's actually my parents live in Gary, okay, okay say that quietly
19:20
They're literally three three houses in the Gary so they're not like so did you guys ever get witnessed to by Michael Jackson and his
19:27
Family, no, no. No. Okay. They were Jehovah's Witnesses and they would knock really on doors. Yeah all over Gary Yeah, no, we had hot we had a
19:35
Hiles Anderson in Northwest, Indiana, which is Hammond Baptist, they're like the
19:41
Christian version of Mormons. Oh, very very legalistic, but they look just like Mormon elders
19:47
They'd be out playing basketball and like they're in their suits dress shirts and ties You know if you guys know who
19:53
Steven Anderson is it's like some yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, it's the same the same same thing Yeah, so yeah door -to -door.
19:59
Yeah, give you a card to say a prayer and all right See in heaven and then you never hear from him again. Yeah, I've got audio of the first time
20:07
Steven Anderson found a King James Virgin Bible That's excellent, but yeah part of the tree
20:21
I forget what I was so so Arizona I way I got way off there That's how we do
20:32
So we have a state rep Walt Blackman assuming he gets reelected which he should
20:39
He we actually have an abolition bill. That's drafted. He will be dropping as soon as he is elected is elected
20:46
And so that's gonna be a big fight for us. Yeah next year is You know working with him and trying to get that bill in the committee and voted for in Arizona How's the support in Arizona for that?
20:59
Uh, I Saw where Jeff preached at a event. Yeah, that was actually for Walt Blackman.
21:06
He had a technique was a Trump rally, but they hosted it up there and So it's interesting.
21:15
I think I mean Arizona still is a Fairly overly conservative state, okay, right we are getting a lot of Liberals coming in from Cal.
21:27
Yeah, I was gonna say how's that exit so basically, you know, you have like most of Arizona's conservative except for Phoenix Right Tucson and Flagstaff.
21:38
Yeah, everything else is like pretty conservative I mean, it's there's a lot of Mormons. They're a lot really all my neighbors are
21:44
Mormons So Mesa has a second largest job brother of LDS. We got my man.
21:49
Toby Jerry He's gone that's my dude right there Water, there's the second largest population of LDS in the world outside of Salt Lake City and well
22:00
So which is where we were made for church, okay so yeah, anyways so Yeah, I don't know.
22:09
It's getting me interesting I know, you know the conservative lobbyist group that's been around for 20 years in Arizona is your typical pro -life
22:19
Just industry yeah kind of like not really doing anything So that's what people are used to so it's gonna take some time to like right how people realize like oh, no
22:29
There is another way that actually does stuff just not right pro -life in name only Yeah, I mean like like the the big win they had three years ago.
22:38
I think they passed a bill and was like If you have an abortion you have to say why?
22:44
Are you serious? Yeah? You'd like check like boxes you to check why that was like their big win for the year, and I was like serious
22:52
Yeah, right very retroactive It actually is it's Abortions been illegal in Arizona aft since 75 or 76 so after Roe v.
23:05
Wade Arizona actually passed a law that made it illegal made it a crime to have an abortion or commit an abortion
23:11
And it's just not being enforced because of Really people are think
23:17
Roe v. Wade's the law and they're scared of the federal beast and so no one's enforcing it More of a suggestion by the
23:24
Supreme Court, right? It's just it's just an interpretation Union yeah, just precedent. Yeah, so The law that we're gonna be dropping it's it's taking the law that's on the books and strengthening it
23:36
Okay and making sure it's criminalized And there might be some appetite with that too
23:42
Just because of what's going on on the Supreme Court and the people being replaced We've seen eight or nine different states kind of already start
23:48
Doing that so I mean You know creating this This organization is probably right at the right time soon.
23:56
Yeah, I believe the providence of God. Oh absolutely yeah No, totally like we've been saying that just there's a thing that's been we've been working on for a while We were able to just finally get it off the ground like right before kovat hit
24:10
But yeah, you're right just the timing of everything Even while black men who I mentioned we've been trying to get with him for three years
24:17
And it just kept hitting roadblocks and then all at once right like all at once it
24:22
We got the connection and it's just like open this floodgate where we're like literally sitting in meetings with Like the most important legislators in Arizona Supreme Court right justices not the
24:34
Supreme of the state Supreme Court Yeah, it was like yeah, the Arizona Supreme Court guy like you know like people in the federal level, and they're like literally
24:43
Blowing my phone up asking for help, and I'm going what just happened. Yeah, and I'm having to tell them
24:48
Hey, we'd love to help, but I'm also a pastor, and I can't do that right right right, so it's been cool
24:54
It's been really encouraging, but just it's crazy, so that's awesome. It's so great Well, we got anything else before we wrap up here
25:01
Jason. I don't what's your favorite kind of cereal? No, I'm joking Chocolate which
25:07
I only get at this time of the year and so when it comes out I buy a lot of it
25:12
Okay, easy that was easy top five bands We doing everything let's just just go yeah rush more no top four rush more classical.
25:24
No, I'm joking Top five I have I have to put the Beatles at one because they they're probably grew up listening to I Grew up listening to that all the time, and you know it was a big influence me
25:35
Beatles Appleseed cast really
25:41
August Burns Red yeah, oh my gosh this guy's a hipster over here. Oh stop Buddy was a drunk what yeah?
25:49
Yeah for appleseed yeah shut up. Yeah, they're the band I've seen the most serious. Yeah, maybe one minute.
25:56
I just listen to the day, and I'm old Keynes on the way over here I feel like stepbrothers. I know it's become friends you like avocados
26:02
Yeah, I think I gave you four was that four three three. That's three I was only three that was a
26:09
Beatles apseed and August arms for days only three man 90 pound was oh and No, that's not one of my favorite last
26:17
Tuesday. No, I'm John I mean okay, so bit if I had to bring my bands
26:22
I listen to the most I would also add in Midlake and As cities burn
26:28
Wow those would be the bands. I listen to the most so heavy I Dig it yeah, yeah
26:35
Yeah, yeah, but if we're gonna go genre then I'll be here for another three hours.
26:40
Yeah, right right I did I did hear your episode for an hour and a half you're talking music
26:46
I think you could have kept going for another hour. Oh easily. I mean yeah, man You brought up so many bands.
26:51
I was like man. This is so awesome. Well. You not know awesome quick story I know I don't know how much time you guys know we got so we got we're here to tomorrow
26:59
I just I just met David Bonson for the first time serious face like we've message, but I just remember the first time
27:05
Yeah, and I was telling him and I've told him before but I was he's he's a busy man, so I was reminding him like apology of studios
27:14
In many ways has has been indirectly influenced by him So what I what I mean by that is everything you see somatically
27:23
Camerawork video work is because of Darren don't right. Yeah, you know he taught
27:28
Marcus Okay, Marcus taught Carmen who does everything now. It's all coming from don't but Darren.
27:33
You know I don't know I Think David was talking about it, but Darren came to Christ through through David okay, okay, so David literally led him to Christ and then immediately gave him like Taught him theonomy and post -millennialism informed yet like that was how he was discipled by David director crazy now
27:52
I and my wife became presuppositional lists because we were at a
28:00
Winter camp So we were like we were either newly married or almost when we got married 21, so we were young okay, okay?
28:08
I can't remember if we were married yet, or not, but we were at this youth camp and somehow our youth pastor who married us he
28:18
Somehow ran into Matt Morgenski from the supertones. Oh, okay, and got him to come teach this thing well
28:24
Matt Morgenski's a presuppositional Yeah, that's where I learned that yeah changed my life in the way. I did evangelism
28:30
So then I'm realizing recently that Matt Morgenski is a presuppositions and is reformed and all that because of David Bonson Yeah, I was gonna.
28:39
Did David Bonson give him his dad's book. Yes It's all
28:46
I get all a guy was just telling I was like dude like a lot of what you see with us. Yeah Indirectly because of you because of your dad
28:55
Wow That's kind of a full circle the toy. Yeah, right right now. His talk was amazing
29:00
I know I got I was I heard half of it, and then we had to interview Gary uncle Gary So I have to pick it up.
29:07
Yeah. Yeah, we got lucky and got Gary over here for a few minutes, and he told me that He still hasn't figured out
29:15
Certain parts of his eschatology, and I'm like you have 30 books on eschatology, man
29:20
He's got a couple a couple of her. I know I know right right I would love to know which part which verses he's talking about, but yeah
29:29
I really like this really my new I know how to tell that nobody else He's like I'm not sure what color the scroll was yeah, yeah, right right
29:39
John wrote on But yeah, yeah, very cool well
29:45
Yeah, thanks for coming by So cool seeing everyone all this weekend
29:50
It's so nice to be like I said before I said it a million times already on the this weekend But so good to be around Bible believing
29:58
Brothers and sisters in Christ that are rooted in in theology and doctrine that is solid based on the
30:04
Word of God and then to see the passion here and obviously to see
30:09
Organizations come together. I mean you guys what you're doing out in Arizona and on Apology Arena I mean you guys have a huge following obviously have a
30:18
Whole thing going there and sometimes I find in well not so much in the reformed community, but in Christianity as whole
30:25
They it's almost like a competition Or it's like we don't associate with this side and they do that over there
30:31
To where I really feel like it was so nice to see you know a couple different Aspects of the reformed community come together and go yeah
30:39
Let's support these guys and put this on and yeah, and I think the people enjoyed it, too I mean it was absolutely we were talking to people and it seemed like it was really cool.
30:47
Yeah, no I couldn't agree more Churches Christians got a fight right this is what you see is everyone here is here because they want to fight right?
30:56
And I don't mean you know fistfight. He's you know, but she gonna start like a Proud Boys thing on his man easy
31:02
Well, we want to fight for the gospel. We want to fight for freedom and Liberty. Yep. Yeah, and I love to death cross -politic
31:11
They're my they're my dudes and Honestly, man, I could do I couldn't think more highly of them and and Doug and Christ Church You know, you know other than other than the baptism issue.
31:23
We're right. We're 99 % on board with everything else and we're like, you know what?
31:30
That's not an issue. That's gonna divide us All right, let's fight and let's yeah, you know Yeah, let's build
31:35
Christ Kingdom and and hope that we still have a nation and yeah from now Well, it's kind of strange how we've gotten into like when did
31:43
Christianity go on the offense like right? I mean if you read you read through the Bible both old and new test much time.
31:50
Yeah, I know right? It's almost it's almost Facetiously I'm asking it or rhetorically just because it's like that That's it seems like American Christianity is so offensive kind of like Doug was speaking about when in fact we should be going it
32:05
This shouldn't be a retreat, right? This is a what did he call it? Not a retreat, but a We're totally mrs.
32:12
Yeah, I remember you were talking. Yeah. Yeah, Jeff was calling it Should be an advance, you know.
32:18
Oh, yeah. No, that's that's a great point I mean and you guys are definitely on the advance you've been doing it for quite some time
32:24
Yeah, like literally in every arena, which is why we love you guys I appreciate I mean and it takes and you know, you do get some notoriety from it
32:33
But that's not why you're doing it, right? I mean you guys were out there doing it when it wasn't Killer but we've seen a resurgence and kind of this fool is cool.
32:42
It was cool Are you there? I'm not gonna say what I just said right after the pitchforks.
32:48
Well, I you know what I'm saying, though No, I'm trying to give you a compliment No, I think
32:59
You know Christ said that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. Amen. What a gates do
33:06
They fall they protect that's true. They're defensive Gates are defensive
33:15
We for too long the church is done Well, we better bar ourselves in our church.
33:20
Yeah, protect yourself inside the gates of hell. Yep No, it's the other way around the gates will not prevail against the church because the church is going forward
33:27
Yeah church is going forward. I like that Start preaching. I told you You know
33:33
And honestly, I think the problem is that because of badass catology the church has completely neglected the culture yeah, because we've been sitting around waiting to get you know, rapture and left our underwear behind and you know, so like the culture has just gone to hell and we're like totally cool with it because we're waiting for better things and It's like, you know, so you asked a question.
33:57
When did the church become offensive? We're becoming offensive again We were yeah at one point
34:02
We got lazy we're having to become offensive again, because If we don't we're
34:10
China, right? Yeah, China. I call it change Chinese because it's from China You know, but that's what's gonna happen if the church doesn't rise up and be offensive
34:21
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, and pretty soon. We will be the ones that are
34:26
Getting missionaries sent into our country, you know from from China We have a guy here that said he wanted to come on and talk 15 minutes about met missionaries being sent to Seattle He's like no guys.
34:37
We need missionaries right in Seattle. It's so He's like no we need met, you know men of God that are missionaries sincere
34:46
I've got oh my gosh, you know I don't know the Christian nation. You're right, man.
34:51
No, I've because I've had the blessing of going to Several different countries now within abortion now has it been
34:57
Australia New Zealand North and Southern Ireland and Scotland and Talking to Christians over there
35:04
They look at us and they're like they've said that like we need to send missionaries back over Because they see us and they see our our culture cultures love for Material things.
35:17
Yeah, and they see that the idolatry in that And so it's been interesting talking to some other people like that they had that perspective and when
35:25
I first heard that I was like Oh Yeah, I was like man, you're right and it was like it was like they didn't do it intentionally
35:31
But it was like a complete condemnation You know of me essentially in our culture. I was like, man, you're totally right like yeah
35:38
See that material blessings are a fine line They have to be in moderation and balance look at the minute that David Started getting blessed and in having his own kingdom and and and the
35:52
Lord said don't count your men That's the minute he took his eyes off the Lord counted his men Right my prayer and I hope that are my
35:58
Christian brothers and sisters prayer is Lord Give me enough, but don't give me too much daily sustenance is what we need as Christians You're not saving up our treasures here on earth going and buying the next thing going and having the next thing
36:11
I drove by a storage unit and I went we live in a country where we pay a hundred dollars a month to store the
36:17
Stuff we don't fit in our huge houses and we go over to developing countries third world countries
36:24
And they're saying Lord just feed me clothed me shelter me today That's all I need because your word and your grace is enough and until this country until these
36:32
Christians in this country Understand that we're gonna keep living in an apostate state.
36:38
Did you hear a dangerous idea? We got a pate a plate to pass cuz yeah boys over here.
36:43
Did you guys hear Rod Martin today when he? What did he say it was awesome well, he said
36:50
I gotta tell us he said that in Africa They're having an obesity problem now.
36:55
Oh my gosh probably because kind of Copeland city important I know I spirit a gospel son of a gun.
37:01
I mean, it's like actually it doesn't work son of a nutcracker But yeah, no
37:07
I mean just thinking about that I mean after seeing all those videos, you know as as I'm growing up in the 80s
37:12
Oh where you can feed it someone for 50 cents. Yeah, right and now now there's an obesity problem because they have
37:18
Oh my god, I can we're shipping a Monsanto. Okay, I'm right. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Tell me about now
37:23
We're really gonna be here for Well, I think you're I think you're right
37:29
Talk about idolatry and stuff like that. I was just talking with someone yesterday Or two days ago, maybe
37:36
I don't know what day it is right now like this 2020 it's like It's like it's like God's a year of idol smash.
37:47
Yeah. Yeah, you know and all at once you got Government you've got public schools.
37:53
You've got health care. You've got jobs money sports Entertainment.
37:59
Come on now, like just go down the line and he's like You know and which is awesome, yeah, cuz that's what we need, you know
38:06
So I I personally I think God's preparing this for Reformation. Yeah, and he's shrinking. We're we're seeing
38:11
Gideon's army all over again That's what I think. Oh, absolutely You know It's and I can see I can see the proudness of the
38:19
Lord working even in this what I think conflated Inflated whatever you want to call it Virus we read the numbers.
38:26
It's not what it is but man tries a way but God does his way and it's crazy because We're trying so hard to control and when
38:36
I say we I'm saying the state I'm saying elites and saying government officials I think those in power that want to control because they're of the flesh trying to control of people trying to you know push an agenda and You know it's kind of like the old fable where the
38:51
Sun and the storm is out and the storm says I bet you I can make the little kid take off his coat and he Huffs and puffs and blows kid holds on to his coat even tighter
38:59
The Sun says are you done now? Watch this Sun moves out from behind the cloud comes out kid takes his coat off So they're trying to squeeze us and as we do
39:06
That the the brothers and sisters in in in the assembly are rising up right now
39:12
Just like this where we're at what you're doing out in, Arizona And it's having the opposite effect and God will use us and like you said you're seeing a reformation
39:20
Happen and when you take away those idols, then then God can start to move and he will move so I'm in 100 %
39:27
Agreement with you man, so thank you so much for coming on if we didn't have anything else we can start want to start taking it
