The following is a countdown of the top 10 most watched videos for the year. As the weather warms up, people shed their winter coats, and shirts, pants, pretty much everything but their underwear.

Known for women though as a bikini, but let's be real, most underwear covers more than most bikinis.

In 1946, designer Louis Rayard introduced a bathing suit so small it could be pulled through a wedding ring.

He called it the bikini, named after the Bikini Atoll where nuclear bombs were tested because he knew his swimsuit would go off like a bomb.

It was so skimpy not even runway models would wear it. So true story, Rayard hired a stripper to show it off.

No pun intended. It should go without saying, bikinis are immodest. Women are told in 1

Timothy 2 .9, first, to adorn themselves, but second, in respectable apparel, with modesty and self -control.

To be modest means to be without vanity, to be decent in character and attire. Self -control is among the fruit of the spirit.

Furthermore, Christian women need to be mindful of their brothers in the Lord, and not put a stumbling block before their eyes.

Now some will say, hey that's rape culture, you're saying that if a man has impure thoughts about a woman, that's a woman's fault.

Men are responsible to take every thought captive to obey Christ, 2 Corinthians 10 .5.

But women need to know that if they, in their immodesty, wound the conscience of their brothers, they too sin against Christ, 1

Corinthians 8 .12. Above all, we are to glorify God in all that we do, even in what we wear.

As said in 1 Corinthians 6 .19 -20, do you not know that your body is a temple of the

Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus.

So glorify God in your body. And as it said in Romans 12 .1, this is your spiritual act of worship.

When we understand the text. In ancient

Canaan, the people worshipped the pagan god Moloch, which in Hebrew means the king of shameful sacrifice.

Worship included ritual prostitution and sacrificing children. Babies would be placed in the idol's arms or abdomen and burned alive.

In doing this, the people believed that Moloch would give them financial prosperity and bless their future children. This took place just outside of Jerusalem in Tophet, in the valley of Hinnom, a location that became synonymous with hell.

Unfortunately, the Israelites were not wise to the ways of this false god. Solomon built a place of worship to Moloch.

The people sacrificed their children, as did kings Ahaz and Manasseh, provoking the Lord to anger.

Then came Josiah, a king who loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, and might. He read in the law that anyone who sacrifices their children to Moloch shall face the wrath of God, and those who ignore child sacrifice would be cut off from God and his people.

Josiah was grieved and repented before the Lord. He destroyed every high place to every false god.

He defiled Tophet so that no one would ever again burn a son or daughter to Moloch. The Lord blessed him with peace, but Israel remained unrepentant and were handed over to their enemies.

The Bible is not silent on the subject of abortion. It is a sacrifice to a false god, the work of the devil himself.

The Lord hates hands that spill innocent blood. He will judge this sin as before and also those who remain silent.

We must be cleansed by Christ and end this shameful sacrifice when we understand the text.

Racism is actually a social construct. The concept of race is not a biblical concept.

It's not a biblical idea. It is a constructed idea.

You won't find the idea of races in the Bible unless you find it in the proper historical context where we see, number one, that we are all the race of Adam, amen?

One race, one blood. We are all the race of Adam. There is less than a 0 .2

% genetic difference between any of us in this regard. In fact, we're not even different colors, amen?

Technically, from a genetic perspective, from a biochemistry perspective, we're all actually the same color.

Our color comes from our melanin. We've all got melanin just to differing degrees.

It's not that some of us are this color, some of us are that color, some of us ... No, we're just different shades of the same color.

Some of us just have more melanin than others. I want you to listen to me on this. Listen to me.

Just because you don't have as much melanin as I do, don't you dare think God doesn't love you as much as he loves me because he gave me more.

What? As a former clergy member, somebody who used to work in the Methodist Church, who has a master of divinity,

I know Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek, I've translated multiple books of the Bible. The word homosexuality literally does not exist in the original text.

Nope. In the 1940s, the word homosexuality was invented by Biblical scholars translating the

RSV translation in order to propagate homophobia. It's listed nowhere in scripture, nor does Jesus ever talk about it.

Before anybody's like, oh, well, in Leviticus, it talks about man shall not lie with man. Well, first and foremost, an American publishing company did that.

That's not in the original text, either, because if you look at the Martin Luther Bible, the German word that's used is common, which means boy talking about pedophilia.

So take several seats. Every word of what you just said was wrong. LGBTQ activists at Oxford and Kathy Baldock invented the myth that the word homosexual was put in the revised standard translation of the

Bible in 1946 as some kind of hate the gays conspiracy. But God has always condemned men having sex with men.

Before homosexual, the English word was sodomite. You can find it in older translations. She says the passage in Leviticus condemns pedophilia in German.

That's another Ed Oxford myth. It does not matter what the German translation says. Your English Bible is translated from Hebrew and Greek, which she acknowledged at the start of her video.

Smug TikTok women cannot change 2000 years of Biblical history. Psalm 94 says they pour out arrogant words.

All the evildoers boast. Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O Lord, and whom you teach out of your law.

When we understand the text. After telling the church to love your neighbor and put on the

Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible says in Romans 14 .1, do not quarrel over opinions.

Yet many Christians are quarreling over masks and vaccines. Some go as far as saying that you are sinning if you do not mask up or get vaccinated.

Russell Moore, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission, said in the Washington Post that loving your neighbor means urging people to get vaccinated and that you also take the vaccine for the coronavirus.

Columnist David French has said that reluctance among Christians to get vaccinated demonstrates a disregard for the health and well -being of neighbors.

He says Christians who don't get vaccinated do more harm to the health of the church than the worst of Joe Biden's culture war regulations or the most radical developments in the sexual revolution.

Karen Swallow Pryor, professor at Southeastern Seminary, said that pro -life Christians who do not wear a mask have brought a culture of death.

How is that loving your neighbor? Accusing him of sin he has not committed? Has God not said, you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor?

Wear a mask and get a vaccine are not commands of God. They are the commands of men. In Mark 7, the

Pharisees saw that Jesus' disciples did not wash their hands. So they asked him, why do your disciples not walk according to the traditions of the elders but eat with defiled hands?

Jesus replied, well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites? As it is written, this people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.

If you want to wear a mask or get vaccinated, then do it. If you don't want to wear a mask or get vaccinated, then don't.

Stop calling sin that which God does not call sin. Let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but pursue what makes for peace and mutual upbuilding when we understand the text.

My son, with whom I'm well pleased. I was praying on Sunday, saying,

Did God show you who's going to win the election? I dreamed that Donald Trump got reelected.

There's no guessing games. He is the one that God's going to put his hands on. For I hear victory, victory, victory, victory in the quarters of heaven.

The Associated Press said that Joe Biden is president. Ha! Yeah, he's going to be president,

Mickey Mouse is going to be king, yeah. The Lord says it is done. Those who are sensing what the

Lord was saying, no one, not one, prophesied that Joe Biden would win.

Every single prophet has said that Donald Trump is going to win. Deuteronomy 18 .22

says, when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if that word does not come true, that is a word the

Lord has not spoken. Jesus said, beware of false prophets. They are ravenous wolves devouring all who follow them.

Follow the voice of the Good Shepherd, the word of Christ in the Bible, when we understand the text.

Number four. John MacArthur, what happens when you die?

Well, when you die, you go to one of two places, according to scripture. You go out of the presence of God forever, or you go into the presence of God forever.

Depending. Depending upon your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which is, according to the

Bible, the only way to enter heaven. So, therefore, a Jew or a Muslim or a

Buddhist will not go to heaven. Yeah, Christian theology and the scripture says that only through faith in Jesus Christ.

And you, and then when we say what happens, what happens? Do you go somewhere? Is a body? Yeah, no. Your, your body stays.

We go to the funeral. We see the body. It goes into the grave. It decays. Your spirit immediately goes either in the presence of God or out waiting the final resurrection.

There will be a resurrection of all bodies in the end, a resurrection unto life or a resurrection unto damnation.

But you don't know. You don't know. No, do you? How can you know? Because the

Bible says so. And I believe the Bible. Well, I believe the Bible. But I believe the Bible can be defended. I believe through the centuries, the

Bible has stood the test of intense scrutiny. And it is the real and true revelation of God.

And it speaks truly about life and death. And someone has been there and come back. And that's

Jesus Christ. Hebrews 9, 27 says it is appointed for man to die once. And after that, it is appointed for man to die twice.

And after that comes judgment. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. You will be saved from hell and have everlasting life with God in heaven.

When we understand the text. Stephen Furtick did not really call himself

God Almighty, did he? Oh, yes, he did. I'm not in covenant with a person. I'm not in covenant with a political party.

I'm in covenant with God Almighty. I am God Almighty. Now, to be fair, this was a gaffe, but instead of calming down and apologizing, he just kept right on going.

Get that off you. That's not your name. That's not your station. That's not your end.

It's in me. It's in me. It is God. And, Furtick, it's in you.

Facepalm. He knew what he just said. The sermon was entitled, It's Always Been In You, which was really a motivational speech about how success has always been in you.

He may not have meant to call himself God, but he did say his sermon came from God. I want to preach for a moment, and God told me to tell you this.

It's always been in you. The only thing that's always been in you is sin, and the only cure is

Christ, and Furtick ain't him. Furtick constantly wanders away into vain discussion without understanding, and following his rant, he had a moment of clarity.

Are y 'all confused? I'm confused. We read in 2 Timothy 2, 15 -16,

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness when we understand the text.

NUMBER 2 Previously on When We Understand The Text.

It was said that when

Steven Furtick called himself God Almighty, this was a gaffe, but Evangelist Justin Peters doesn't think so.

People again have tried to pass that off as a flub, it was a gaffe, he didn't really mean it, and I was kind of tempted to say just a

Joe Biden moment or something like that, just a gaffe, but I don't think it was a gaffe because it's not the first time he has said this.

Justin went to a sermon Furtick preached in 2019 entitled, My Maker is My Mirror. If you listen to the word and don't do it, you're like a man who looks at himself in a mirror.

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. My maker is my mirror.

When God said, I am to Moses, my name is, I am.

He was trying to get him to see you are as I am.

Dear friends, let me tell you something, that's heresy. As God said in Isaiah 42, 8,

I am Yahweh, that is my name, my glory I give to no other. Justin pointed out that Furtick has aligned with T .D.

Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Jesse Duplantis, Rod Parsley, and others who teach the same heresy.

Jesus warned, many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray when we understand the text.

Someone asked this question on social media. What do people pretend is in the Bible, but is absolutely not in the

Bible? The responses were mostly things that are in the Bible. Andre said, first -hand accounts.

The entire New Testament is first -hand accounts. Second Peter 1 .16 says we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

And John said in John 21 .24, he was the author of John. Stuart said an explicit statement that scripture is the word of God.

Second Timothy 3 .16 says all scripture is God breathed. And in John 10 .35, Jesus called scripture the word of God.

Chris said if you don't work, you don't eat. See Second Thessalonians 3 .10. Judith said an eye for an eye.

See Exodus 21 .24. Shannon said the meaning of life. See Ecclesiastes 12 .13.

Kermit the Frog said that same -sex sexuality is condemned. See Leviticus 20 .13.

Sam said any claim that there is only one God. Oh, please. See Deuteronomy 4 .35,

Isaiah 45 .5, and First Timothy 2 .5. Lucy said the truth, but Peter said they deliberately overlook this fact, that the earth was created by the word of God, and by that same word, it will be destroyed.

Only by faith in the truth of Jesus Christ will you be saved. Jesus said the one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge.

The word that I have spoken in the Bible will judge him on the last day. What do people pretend is in the

Bible, but is absolutely not in the Bible? Their own opinion, when we understand the text.
