Let's talk about whether Todd White, Christine Cain, Votie Bauckham, William Lane Craig, and Priscilla Shire are false teachers.

We'll take a look at some highlights related to each teacher and then we'll share our conclusions about them.

Teacher number one, Todd White. White, a former drug addict and atheist, is a senior pastor of Lifestyle Christianity Church in Huachuca, Texas.

Let's take a look at two things concerning Todd White. Sometime after the movie

American Gospel came out, which criticized some of White's teachings, White preached a sermon where he repented of not preaching the whole gospel.

It's hard for me. It's hard for me. Because I feel like I haven't preached the whole gospel.

And I repent. I repent. But if we don't understand that God's rule or his commandments are his laws, and his laws, if we want to do it as a good person, we have to obey them all, and nobody has.

Nobody has. Are you with me? And so we have to know that we've sinned against God.

And so we need to know that God's grace in sending Jesus and putting Jesus as the substitute for my sin, that we actually become the righteousness of God that is in Christ Jesus when we see the proper reason that he died for us.

He's a holy God and he loves us with everything we all, everything he is. Like he is love.

But because he is love doesn't mean that he's not going to enforce the reality of the truth. Are you with me?

I saw this when I got saved. And for some reason it's taken me 16 years to explain it.

And I feel like I've just seen something completely brand new. Specifically, White said that he didn't preach rightly about God's law, that he knew this essential part of the gospel when he was saved, and that for some reason it took him 16 years to explain it.

White's repentance here is certainly very encouraging and hopeful. And we are praying that White's repentance is genuine and that we'll see a change in direction in his ministry.

At the same time, it seems that many significant concerns about White's ministry still exist and we have not yet seen repentance regarding these things.

We'll just list out several significant concerns about White here. American Gospel is an excellent documentary that exposes a lot of false teachings related to the prosperity gospel.

And part of this documentary critiques White's teachings. White was very upset about American Gospel and attacked it.

And I know what it is. And it's a demonically inspired movie.

I said, dude, there's no way that I would watch that DVD, bro.

But I want to thank you so much for intensifying my focus. No, I went up into my room, I shredded that DVD, I threw it away.

I shredded the letter, I threw it away. White ended up deleting the sermon where he attacked American Gospel, probably because of criticism.

Even after White's repentance sermon, White never apologized for his false accusations against this movie.

The following teachings by White are all teachings that he has not yet repented of.

White taught the kenosis heresy, which teaches that while Jesus was on earth, he emptied himself of his divinity, living only as a man.

And Jesus was tempted at all points. That scripture alone verifies that when he was here, he walked this out as a man.

People have taken that doctrine that I just said to you, twisted it on YouTube, and said that Todd White takes the deity away from Jesus.

No, what you've done, if you've taken what Jesus said he was away from the

Bible. White taught that he, and Christians in general, can live sinless lives.

He came and gave me this blank canvas. He came and gave me this pure heart, and I've never violated it with anything. You can actually have the word so strong inside of your heart that you never have to slip.

People are like, well, that's false. That's not true. Well, you're wrong. I live with me. White taught that we are so valuable to God that heaven went bankrupt to get us back.

See the cross isn't the revelation of your sin, the cross is the revelation of your value. See when you come to the cross, the cross, yes, sin is an issue.

You come to Jesus, but something underneath of that sin must have been of great importance for heaven to pay such a high price to redeem your life.

Something underneath of that sin must have been of great value for heaven to go bankrupt to get me back. But the reason

God saves sinners is to display His grace, mercy, and glory, not because of our value to God.

Apart from Christ, we're actually not valuable. We're enemies of God. White also deceived people with a leg lengthening trick.

Now, this is where we can see what's really going on here. The leg on our right is supposed to be the short leg, and this is the leg which should be miraculously growing, but it's not.

Look at the leg on our left. That's where all the action is. That's what's actually being manipulated.

You can see that Todd is actually pivoting or shifting the foot of the so -called long leg so that the heels match.

Now, he's doing this very slowly over time, but it's painfully obvious when you speed up the clip. White has also defended

Kenneth Copeland, who is clearly a dangerous false teacher. Kenneth Copeland has taught me so much.

I, I, you guys can think what you want. There's people that have said, I've had partners that are partners with lifestyle.

They're like, well, now that we know that you're in cahoots with this false prophet, we don't want to partner with you. I feel bad for you.

I do. I don't, I don't need your partnership. It's not about that. See, you don't know that Kenneth Copeland is one of the most generous people alive on the planet.

What's our conclusion concerning Todd White? White's repentance concerning not teaching the full gospel is certainly an encouraging sign.

But, until he also repents of the other things we mentioned, we still have, at the very least,

First, very serious concerns about White's teachings. Our hope is that White has put those teachings behind him, but the fact that he has not repented of them is a very serious concern.

We would still recommend staying away from White's teachings, but we should also be praying that God would continue working on his heart.

Teacher number two, Priscilla Shire. Shire is an author, motivational speaker, actress, and evangelist.

She is the daughter of Dallas megachurch pastor, Tony Evans. Let's take a look at four things concerning Shire.

Shire preaches to men, which is contrary to what scripture teaches. First Timothy chapter 2 and verse 12,

I do not prevent a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, rather she is to remain quiet, so, because the bible says so.

There's no case that can be made biblically for a woman preacher, period, paragraph, end of discussion.

The fact that Shire ignores or gets wrong this clear biblical teaching is a serious concern.

Shire has partnered with and endorsed teachers whom we would consider false teachers, which at the very least demonstrates an extreme lack of discernment.

Shire has partnered with Joyce Meyer, whom we have made several videos about. Shire has also preached at Joel Osteen's Lakewood church.

Jakes, whom we've also made several videos about. Shire teaches an unbiblical view of God speaking to us today.

Do you really expect and anticipate that the divine voice of God can be heard by you?

Do you really think that he loves you enough to die for you, but doesn't love you enough to then talk to you?

But if God still speaks to us today outside of Scripture, then shouldn't we be adding the things

God is saying today to Scripture? No. The Bible teaches that the canon is closed and that today we should simply be looking to Scripture to learn what

God has to say to us. Shire has a habit of interpreting

Scripture using eisegesis rather than exegesis. Eisegesis involves reading ideas into the text rather than interpreting the text the way it's meant to be interpreted.

In her book, Discerning the Voice of God, How to Recognize When God Speaks, Shire writes,

As I meditate upon a verse, I will often insert my name or a personal pronoun into it to make it more personal.

If I'm reading and meditating on a Bible story, I will become the main character so that it's not merely someone else's experience with God, but my own.

I often ask myself what God would have me do as a result of what I contemplated. The problem with this is that Bible stories are meant to teach us something specific, not for us to draw out our own interpretation by personalizing the story.

What's our conclusion about Priscilla Shire? She hasn't really said anything herself that is completely heretical, but for all the reasons we listed, we would recommend that people stay away from her teaching.

Shire may be a talented actress and a likable person, but there are much better, more

Biblical teachers to learn from. Bakom is a pastor, author, and educator.

He currently serves as Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia.

Let's take a look at two things concerning Votie Bakom. Here is someone who criticizes

Bakom's Calvinism and Theology. Who is Votie Bakom?

This guy is a Calvinist, a five -point tuliper, and it's a foregone conclusion that he's unsaved being a

Calvinist because Calvinism cannot save anyone. So I've got some quotes by this unsaved false prophet that prove he's going to hell.

Let's take a listen, here goes. Okay, so what he's saying is that it's difficult to become a

Christian. Now it's difficult for him because he's trying to become a Christian. He's not saved.

He's working for his salvation. He's trying to labor to become a Christian, whereas in reality a true

Christian is saved by grace and there's nothing difficult about it. Those criticisms of Bakom are a complete straw man.

Bakom isn't at all saying that you have to work to become a Christian. If you actually listen to the entire sermon, which is an excellent sermon titled

The Wide and the Narrow Gate, you'll see that Bakom is saying that it's hard to become a

Christian because we're all born in sin and therefore don't desire God or holiness.

Also, Bakom clearly says that all the credit for us becoming and remaining a

Christian goes to God alone. Everlasting will not be a result of any sort of shared credit between me and Jesus.

So when I get to heaven, here's what it won't look like. I won't walk in and give Jesus a high five and say, man,

You know, the whole dying for me thing and stuff like that, that part I never could have done, but the rest of it, how foolish is that?

Also, Bakom's Calvinism isn't a problem because the Bible teaches Calvinism or that God alone saves sinners from beginning to end.

Romans 9, Ephesians 2, John 6, and countless other verses and passages clearly teach the doctrines of Calvinism.

What's our conclusion about Vody Bakom? We would highly recommend his teaching.

Bakom subscribes to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, which we believe is the best summary of what the

Bible teaches. Personally, Bakom is one of my favorite preachers. Teacher number four,

William Lane Craig. Craig is best known for his apologetics work, and he is professor of philosophy at Houston Baptist University and research professor of philosophy at Talbot School of Theology.

Let's take a look at two things concerning William Lane Craig. In general, a lot of Craig's works concerning apologetics is pretty good.

His debates with atheists were very helpful to me when I was a new Christian. Well, remember,

I gave an argument for thinking that this cause is timeless, spaceless, immaterial, enormously powerful, and personal.

I think it's a computer. William Lane Craig is a great teacher.

There are several significant concerns about Craig's theology. To accommodate his belief in evolution,

Craig does not hold to a literal historical interpretation of Genesis. I think what really surprised me was the plausibility of analyzing the literary genre or type of Genesis chapters 1 to 11 as something called mytho -history.

However, Jesus treated the Genesis account simply as history, not as mytho -history.

In an article titled The Historical Adam, Craig writes, Adam plausibly lived sometime between around 1 million years ago to 750 ,000 years ago, a conclusion consistent with the evidence of population genetics.

Craig also said that he has severe doubts about the doctrine of original sin, which is a pretty fundamental biblical teaching.

One would be is that if you believe in the doctrine of original sin, then you've got to have a historical

Adam, because otherwise the doctrine of original sin goes down the drain.

We cannot be held culpable for the sins of a fictitious person who never existed, nor can we be said to have a corrupted nature inherited from a fictional person that never existed.

So if you believe in the doctrine of original sin, I think you are committed to historical

Adam. Now, I myself have severe doubts about the doctrine of original sin.

I don't find it in Genesis 3 or Romans 5. Craig says he doesn't find original sin in Roman 5s, but original sin is clearly what

Romans 5 .18 teaches. Craig also attempts to preserve libertarian human free will with a doctrine called

Molinism. And so by creating certain persons in certain circumstances,

God can orchestrate and providentially direct the course of human history through the free actions and decisions of human beings.

He is completely in control in the sense that it's up to him what circumstances exist and who exists in them, but he doesn't treat people like puppets by making them do what they do in those circumstances.

He allows them to freely choose. He takes hands off, so to speak, and says, you make the choice what you want to do in these circumstances, but God knows what they would do.

Generally speaking, the main problem with Molinism is simply that it's not what

Scripture teaches. Scripture does not teach that God takes his hands off and just lets people choose.

Rather, Scripture teaches that apart from God's regenerating work, people would never choose

Christ because of their sinful nature. We need God's intervention, God giving us a new heart to even begin to turn towards Christ and be saved.

Craig also teaches that people who have not heard of Christ can be saved without conscious knowledge of Christ.

Now, that raises then further difficult theological questions, namely, well, what about those then who have never heard of Christ?

How are they going to be judged? It would be unfair for God to judge them for not having placed their faith in Christ when they've never heard of Christ, and God is fair.

So what do you do with those people? And it seems to me that the answer of the

New Testament is that God judges people on the basis of the light that they have.

That those who have only the light of God's general revelation in nature and conscience will be judged on the basis of their response to that.

Those who have the light of his special revelation in the gospel will be judged on the basis of their response to that.

Now, that doesn't mean that anyone can be saved apart from the atoning death of Christ. It just means that it would be possible that someone could be a beneficiary of Christ's atoning death without having a conscious knowledge of Christ.

The problem with what Craig says here is that it would still be completely fair for God to punish people who have never heard of Christ because they are still sinners who deserve punishment for their sin.

If people will be judged by the general revelation that they have, then there would really be no point in bringing the gospel to them.

However, the reason why we need to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth is precisely because accepting the gospel of Jesus Christ is necessary for salvation.

What's our conclusion about William Lane Craig? We don't think Craig has said anything that is clearly and undeniably heretical, but at the same time, we would not recommend his theology at all.

Craig's commitment to evolution and to libertarian human free will leads him to seriously misinterpret much of the scripture.

We do think that his apologetics work can be helpful, as long as people are aware and cautious of the problems in his theology.

Teacher number five, Christine Kane. Kane is an Australian activist, evangelist, author, and international speaker.

She's also known for her work in combating human trafficking. Let's take a look at three things concerning Christine Kane.

Kane regularly preaches to groups that include men, which, as we have said, is contrary to scripture.

You and I have the opportunity to amaze God and allow him to marvel and go, oh,

I haven't seen that kind of faith on that university campus. I'm going to do something extraordinary.

See, God healed his servant. Jesus had healed his servant. Many people before this. But there was something about this man's faith that activated a miracle.

Like with Shire, we would say that a woman who ignores or gets wrong the Bible's clear teaching concerning the roles of men and women in the church is not a qualified teacher.

Kane has partnered with and endorsed several teachers whom we would consider false teachers.

Kane tweeted, thank you, Joyce Meyer, for being a mentor, role model, pioneer, and spiritual mother to a generation.

So many of us are where we are because of you. As I've already said, Meyer is a dangerous false teacher who has taught numerous heretical doctrines.

On Instagram, Kane even said, oh, yes, I did lay my hands on Joyce Meyer's Bible and teaching notes and prayed for an impartation of that teaching, anointing, and revelation.

But of course, that's not at all a biblical thing to do. Kane is also preached at Lakewood Church, where Joel Osteen is the pastor.

Osteen admits to not teaching about essential aspects of the Christian faith. Kane is also partnered with T .D.

Jakes, who teaches modalism and the prosperity gospel, among other things. Kane is also partnered with Bethel Church, whose pastor is

Kane's method of interpreting scripture is also concerning. She often interprets scripture in ways that the original author did not at all intend to communicate.

For example, Kane taught this regarding circumcision. Because when an entire generation came out of Egypt, an entire generation, they had been circumcised.

They had had their own cutting away. They had paid their own price.

But the Lord's saying here, if you're going to go in and possess what I have for you in the promised land, this generation cannot go into the promised land based on the price that was paid by the generation before them.

They've got to pay their own price. But if we as a church are going to go in and possess the next phase of what the

Lord has for us, then we've got to pay our own price. But circumcision is actually a sign of being

God's people. It's not at all a metaphor for paying your own price. What's our conclusion about Christine Kane?

Like with Priscilla Shire, we would recommend that people stay away from Kane's teachings for the reasons we listed.

A supposed Bible teacher who does not submit to the Bible's clear teaching that women are not to teach over men in the church demonstrates a fundamental inability to properly interpret scripture.
