To them it's common to Condemn that reject that but today there's there's a milder less businesslike

Prosperity message the gospel may not make you wealthy But they'll imply it will give you a comfortable life middle class at least

They might not always promise you health But you can live stress -free, you know, try the

Daniel diet. It'll keep you slimmer and It'll give you success with your kids.

You'll help you them turn out Well God's Word they implies contains the secrets to the successful to the easy life

Is that what you expect? About a decade ago as we were planning on moving into this building and then renovating it some people expected that we would soon fill this place that we would be a success as They considered a success.

We seem to have all the right ingredients. They thought when things didn't live up to expectations

Neither did they? Here the Apostles had no money But they had the power of God to heal and to save Today Churches have money

But often no power I'd rather have the power Sometimes though I think you know, if only you had a lot of money, that's what we need we need a lot we need some big wealthy person to give us a big donation, you know millions of dollars or whatever and That would make us a success

After all we could then do advertising we could do mass mailings We can get on the radio. Maybe maybe we can host a conference with some big names

You know would draw people into the building for a special event Maybe build a proper sanctuary with it

So we're not meeting in a gym some people think that's too unsanctified and that would draw in more people But I don't know if it would and even if it did

Would they be here just because of the marketing and the nice facilities the high -profile now We suddenly have because we have all this money because we have money and money is success people think and success attracts

People who are attracted to success People who really don't care for much

Suffering and sacrifice they want success where we have people who want to help with the
