- Welcome to The Rapid Bull, daily edition, where we provide a quick biblical interpretations and applications.
- 00:12
- This is a ministry of striving for eternity. But I don't have to go to the church, is the cry.
- 00:19
- However, is it biblical? When we look at the scriptures, we see it's actually, well, kind of commanded that we should.
- 00:28
- In Hebrews chapter 10, verse 24 and 25, it says this, "...and let us consider how we stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more you see the day drawing near."
- 00:52
- That day that's being referred to is the day of judgment. And so what you end up seeing in that passage of scripture is that the writer of Hebrews is very clear that some were, even in that day, neglecting the fellowship of the church.
- 01:08
- And he says it should not be. Do not neglect the fellowship.
- 01:15
- Now, there is no way you can have church by yourself. We don't go to church.
- 01:21
- We, as believers, are the church. It's an important distinction. And you cannot be the church alone.
- 01:31
- You're just not part of the body that meets and gathers and worships
- 01:37
- God. As you looked at the definition of what church is, we looked at a previous rap report, you see that the church does not fit a definition of me, myself, and I, or even just my family.
- 01:49
- Church requires other believers. This podcast is part of the Striving for Eternity ministry. For more content or to request a speaker or seminar to your church, go to strivingforeternity .org.
