Sarah Young’s Spiritual Experiences and Their Intended Effect

I lost all sense of time as I experienced God's presence in this powerful way. I had not sought the experience, but I received it gratefully and was strengthened by it. God had prepared me for stepping into deep darkness by first bathing me in his glorious light.

Scripture as the True Means of Equipping Believers

Yet scripture contradicts this experience when it says that it Scripture is what equips us for serving and helping others. 2nd Timothy 3 16 and 17. That Christ is the light John 8 to 12. The actual living person who we draw people to not a mere presence.

Why These Experiences Are Included in the Introduction

These experiences with this presence is obviously a big influence in her life. I cannot say whether these occurrences actually took place. But I can judge why they are included in the introduction of these devotions.

Usually we relay or describe experiences to convince others of something. So in this case Sarah Young is including these experiences to convince you Herself and I that she does belong to God that he comforts her and speaks to her.
