What's wrong with the world? That is a common question these days, isn't it?

And the answer, I think, to that question is in the beginning. In the beginning,

God created the heavens and the earth. From the beginning, there was a creator. There was

God. Perfect, the most highest, the most perfect good. And with the masterful craftsmanship that can only come from this

God, he made the world. We may not know each other, and we may never meet, but we do have something in common, that we all come from God who created us.

And we come from his first two created beings, Adam and Eve, who because of their disobedience, we inherit the sin nature that came with the curse of their disobedience.

Our sins have separated us from a holy God. Adam is our federal representative.

He disobeyed God and sinned, and just as God said, the sentence of death was passed upon him and upon all mankind because he represented mankind.

God's word tells us that he is holy, he is righteous, he is perfect, he is altogether good in all that he is and all that he does.

We are fallen creatures. We are sinful creatures. There are no neutral worldviews, my friends.

Romans 3 is very clear that no one seeks after God, no one seeks after righteousness. There are none that are good.

And if you look at the span of time that's taken place since then, things have gotten very off track.

The version of the world that we see today is not what it should be.

Something is missing. Something is not right. And the thing that is not right is sin.

All other religions say that we must do something or we must participate in helping

God save us, but we can't do anything to save ourselves. But God is also a loving and merciful and gracious God.

And in his love and mercy and grace, he has made a way to reconcile a sinful people back to himself.

God in his great mercy has a plan to rescue those who would turn to him.

The good news of the gospel is that God himself did not leave us in this state. He came and took on human flesh.

He was born of a virgin Mary and he went to a cross at a place called

Calvary. And he died on that cross to make payment in what we call atonement, a payment for sin.

The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ, who he was and what he did.

The scripture says this, that Christ died for our sins, that he was buried and that he arose again on the third day.

This is the gospel. This is the message of salvation.

Jesus says that he is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father, but through him.

But God sent his son, Jesus, who is called the Christ, to redeem that which was lost.

This is the wonders gospel, that Christ died for sinners. The Bible commands all men everywhere to repent, and those who repent, which is to apologize and turn from your sins and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

God promises he will grant you everlasting life. So that every single person that repents of their sin and places their full faith and trust in Jesus Christ is saved.

They are born again. Not trusting in any works of our own, simply in the personal work of Christ.

The Bible tells us that we will be saved, and we will no longer stand before God guilty of our sin, but yet we will be clothed in the righteousness of Christ.

My advice is this, run to Christ today. Flee to Christ.

Put no confidence in the flesh. Trust not in your own good works, but believe on Jesus Christ, for the work that Christ accomplished is enough.

Repent of your sin, put your faith in Christ, and walk as a child of light, a child of God.
