I'm about to show you from Joel Osteen. But let me read a few lines from this hymn first.

So, within evangelical Christianity, mankind went from being a sinner compared to a worm to you're so amazing, you're a champion, you're a victor, and all these other things that Joel Osteen preaches.

The Apostle Paul said that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief, but I don't think

Joel Osteen looks at it that way. Instead, his version of Christianity is, of course,

Jesus died on the cross for me since after all, I'm such a wonderful person, watch. I am victorious.

I am blessed. I am talented. I am anointed. I am amazing. I am wonderful.

I am valuable. I am a masterpiece. I am young. I am energetic.

I think the sermon is called The Power of I Am. And of course, I Am is the name of God given to Moses at the burning bush.

But Joel Osteen applies it to himself. And he shows you how you can apply it to yourself because after all, you are so amazing.

Christianity has changed. Instead of Christ and the gospel being the focus, it's all about you, self -help, and motivational speaking.

Man went from being a worm to being wonderful in about 40 years. Now, I realize someone will think, well, a worm though, isn't that kind of extreme?

Well, Isaiah 41, verse 14, the Lord says, fear not you worm, Jacob, you men of Israel.

I will help you, says the Lord. So there's actually several verses like this. So if I had to choose between the worm or Joel Osteen, I'll take the worm because Joel Osteen's sermon is basically just the new age law of attraction blended together with Christianity.

I mean, this is new age religion, is what Joel Osteen is preaching. That if you speak positive words out into the universe, they will come back to you and bring you health and wealth and great success.

That is Joel Osteen's Pentecostal background mixed with new age religion.

My friends, that is not biblical. That is not Christianity. So these are some of the problems with Joel Osteen.

This is a false form of Christianity, yet it's the mainstream view in the United States. Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, positive only, self -help, these people are not preaching the
