Dove Awards took place. Now for those of you who aren't one of the 13 people who tune in to the Dove Awards every year, you may be unaware of what they even are.

So I'll tell you. It's basically a Christian award show. It's the Christian version of the Grammys. People are nominated and they win awards for their music.

Best song, best album, best artist, etc. So I wanted to see who was winning these awards and ask some important questions.

Who are the recipients? And what do they believe? Are they doctrinally sound? And what exactly is the

Christian music industry incentivizing here? You see, the Dove Awards are a culmination of all the artists that the average professing

Christian person listens to every year. These are the people who many Christian people will get their doctrine from, at least partially.

Music is a powerful thing, and many people are influenced by it. But is this influence good or bad?

Is it biblical or unbiblical? Well, in order to answer these questions, we have to look at who's winning these

Dove Awards. That will tell us what's going on. So let's do that using three biblical points. Number one, here's a short list of the people who received

Dove Awards this year. The song of the year was The Blessing, and involved in writing or performing this song were

Chris Brown, no, not that Chris Brown, Kerry Jobe, Cody Carnes, and Stephen Furtick.

Writer of the year among artists was Brandon Lake. Writer of the year among non -artists was Jason Ingram. New artist of the year was

Maverick City Music. Rapper of the year was Lecrae. These people are just those who were on the first page.

There are many more. And it brings me to point number two. Let's take a look at this list and see what they actually believe, doctrinally.

Chris Brown is the lead singer for Elevation Church, whose pastor Stephen Furtick constantly mishandles the

Word of God and preaches false doctrine. Check out any of my several videos on him for proof of that.

Again, Stephen Furtick is listed as a songwriter on The Blessing, which was the song of the year according to the

Dove Awards. Yes, you heard that right. An actual false teacher wrote what's being called the best

Christian song of the year, and no one even cares. If that doesn't boggle your mind, I don't know what will.

Keri Jobe and her husband Cody Karnes were also involved. Keri and Cody both approve of the song

Reckless Love, which sings about God being reckless, which is of course both unbiblical and very blasphemous.

They don't seem to care though. In fact, Keri did her own performance of the song. In addition to this, they perform with Elevation Church regularly, which again is a church that spreads false doctrine, as we've proven on this channel time and time again.

So let's move on to the next artist and see how they fare. The first ones aren't doing so well. Next we have

Brandon Lake, who's a member of Bethel Worship. Bethel Worship is affiliated with Bethel Church, whose leaders both preach the

Bill Johnson. Then we have Jason Ingram, who according to his own Spotify page, has written songs for Bethel, Elevation, and Hillsong Church.

These churches are the trifecta of false doctrine, and he's worked with every single one of them. Again, for definite proof of all of this, check out any of my videos on Elevation, Hillsong, or Bethel Church.

The new artist of the year was Maverick City Music. This band performed with Elevation Worship, even did a whole album with them, and approves of the teaching of Stephen Furtick.

In addition to this, one of their main singers in the band, Chandler Moore, was seen posting immoral and disgraceful pictures of his wife, who was dancing sexually on him publicly at their wedding this year.

And finally, Lecrae was the Rapper of the Year. Lecrae has demonstrated in recent years that his work is highly compromised.

He's performed with secular artists who make very immoral music. He and Andy Mineo can be seen on YouTube approving of a video in which

Kim Kardashian dressed immodestly and acted seductively. Of course, they didn't mind the video because Kim Kardashian used their song in it.

They were honored. They weren't appalled. They loved it. They used this to get views on their YouTube channel, even.

I just offered you at least eight artists, probably more. And all eight of them are at the very top of the

Christian music industry. It can't get any higher for them. They're some of the most popular people out there in the

Christian world, and they're creating songs that we sing in church, on our way to work, and in our own homes.

That is a big responsibility, and those who write worship songs for the church ought to have good, sound teaching and solid biblical doctrine.

We want to know that what we're singing aligns completely with God's Word. Anything other than that would be unbiblical and not worship at all.

John 4 .24 says, those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.

We need to know that those who are writing Christian music that we use in church and in private worship are doing so with biblical truth at the forefront of their mind.

But unfortunately, I have just demonstrated for you that all of these people are affiliated directly with false and unbiblical movements.

All of these people are spreading lies about God's Word, if not through their music directly, they do so simply by spreading the teaching of churches like Bethel, Hillsong, and Elevation Church.

The Bible commands us clearly and expressly to avoid false teachers and not advance their false message.

After all, why would we spread the message of false teachers? We're Christians. We spread biblical truth, not unbiblical lies.

I could offer you many passages to demonstrate this fact, but let's just start with Romans 16 -17.

That passage says, I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine you have been taught.

Avoid them. But despite this command, pretty much the entire Christian music industry is involved in spreading false teaching to one degree or another.

Many of them even have false teaching in their own music. I've got videos of that linked in the description. But this should be the scandal of all scandals.

People in the church should be horrified at this stuff, and we should be taking steps to correct it. But in the church, we're just used to it by now.

We're so desensitized to this stuff that we stopped caring. In fact, we stopped caring a long time ago.

Okay, Bethel. Okay, Hillsong. Okay, Elevation. Go ahead. Keep making our music. Boys will be boys. You can preach false things.

I guess there's just nothing we can do about it. Actually, there is something we can do. It's just difficult and uncomfortable, and most people aren't even willing to try.

We could do what Romans 16, 17 says to avoid those who teach false doctrine. We could demand that Christian artists do the same, and we could stop listening to their music when they refuse.

That's what I'm doing. I hope you guys will join me in that. Because change is hard, but it's worth it.

So for those of you out there who are ignoring the problem in the Christian music industry, let me offer you a sobering passage.

Galatians 6, 7 says, Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that he will also reap.

If we continue to sow behavior that ignores false teaching in exchange for a catchy song, then we will reap something in return, something that we don't want.

We will reap the type of Christianity that has no discernment. And that's the problem, and it's only getting worse.

So let's stop empowering Christian artists who spread false teaching, and let's start discovering and promoting

Christian artists who actually care about sound doctrine. That's how we're going to change this.

And finally, let's pray that God would bring a realization for the Church, and that he would bring these false teachers and their
