Here in Rapid City, South Dakota. We're doing some live episodes. So if you hear some background noise, that's what's going on here

We got about a thousand believers. We're singing psalms. We're listening to Great sermons and sermons speak speakers and We have

Podcast I have the I know Jason does too. We both have the

Canon app Yeah, all right, which is a must for anyone that loves good biblical content, but I'm not gonna step on his toes

AJ Why don't you tell us a little bit about what Canon does and what they offer? So right now actually at the conference we've been promoting

Doug's book ride Sally ride along with the movie that was just announced So that's that's our big push right now is just promoting our movie and actually we've got a bunch of the people you mentioned the app

Which has been exploding the past year We've got a lot of people that are signing on to actually right now it's $7 .99

a month and you can up that to a yearly subscription and All the anything extra that you pay for that subscription actually will be going to production costs for ride

Sally ride the movie So, oh, we're really excited about that. We've already got into movies with right in the dance

And we have water and earth and actually there's a third right in the dance that that's going to be coming out very soon as well so a lot of things in the work a lot of great

Christian content and I think The huge thing for us is just being able to apply our theology outside the walls of the church and That's what we do with books

That's what we do with media content and it's just a huge encouragement to be places like this where you're talking to the

Christians You can kind of put a face to all the people that that have been impacted by it It's not just we're not just operating it in the digital world

You know, there's there's real people here and it's very very much more tangible. So it's really exciting.

Yeah, and it's Happy they're obviously you can go to what's the website? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah can impressed out of work, right?

And there's books and there's absolutely yeah movies and there's all that I just mentioned the app because I'm an app guy.

I'm a digital book guy. I'm an audiobook guy I cannot believe how much how much really quality content you guys have on there.

Yes I was really having a problem finding Christian fiction that I like.

Yeah, okay That's a hard one because there's a lot of stuff out there and I want it to be kind of in a stream of where I'm at theologically, you know, and just even your

Christian fiction section on the app is unbelievable. Yeah. Yeah You know after reading 10 15 theology books in a row

Sometimes you want a little little difference there and that's I'm in that two -month thing of just going through some fiction right now

I'll get back to the doctrine stuff. Yeah later this year, but Continues to put out more and more and more books.

Yeah The most productive person I've ever seen incredible I mean we we were told laugh at the last fight laugh feast that he has about 300 books just ready to go

Yeah, there was a Just gonna like pop those on everybody. Yeah, man.

Yes, but you guys you guys do the you have podcasts on the app? Yeah, I know.

I'm a fan of the sweater fest Dialogue dialogue with dr. James white. Yeah big fans of Listen I think the new season of man rapid.

Yes Yep, just started. We're releasing them weekly right now because although it was a phenomenal success on Amazon I don't

I think that what did it just get too close to home. They don't like the content. What was it? Well, I think we're really what we're trying to do is create areas where we don't have to worry about Restriction and being censored and unfortunately, it's more and more

It's becoming difficult for Christians to exist and in the secular environments when you talk about Amazon net

You've kind of I mean not just politically correct, but you really got to be on board With the agenda of the left.

So what's what's really exciting for us is to be able to create, you know with the app You know, we'll take our chances on YouTube and we'll keep pushing stuff on any platform that will have us

But what we really want to do is Self -sustainable so create a spot where like you were saying, yeah, it's great that people can go to our website

They can go to our app and it's all right there for you. It's it's pretty incredible though the amount of content that is on there

Yeah, I mean even Gary DeMar's just joined in with American vision stuff. Yeah And I mean you can find conferences that were taped 20 years ago, you know, yeah

So yeah back when they use the term taped. Yeah. Yeah, right. Yeah Exactly, right Listen to those you can listen to those on this app.

I mean, there's so many things, you know, you know, it's funny They they've recorded so much we have in the warehouse boxes full of tapes of Doug's Lectures and stuff that I don't think even has been put on the app.

So we've got a vault of even more stuff You know that's coming. It's just So, let me ask you this

Do you guys do ministry stuff as well? Like there's a ministry or a church that wants like multiple copies or To do a book study.

Yeah, you guys work with ministries that we do So if we have listeners out there right now that are in a leadership position within the church or doing something like that How do they go about?

They contact you directly. Yeah. Yeah AJ. What do they do? AJ can impress org is the way to go and basically

I can give them all of the details on the The the different rates that we have for churches

Obviously, there's discounted rates sure in any any kind of bulk order that we're doing especially for churches

Yeah, we we do that a lot and what's what's really encouraging is that a lot of we also do a lot of curriculum

So a lot of churches a lot of Christian schools as well So, I mean, yeah, the the different ways what we're trying to do is

Build Christians from you know the ground up so with with the children's books you were talking about fiction, right? Don't have a lot of children stuff on there.

Yeah. Yeah Children stuff even on on the app, but we've got curriculum. It's really I've been impressed with how just fully or the the experience of Canon press has been as far as what we're trying to do

Content wise so children to adults women It's it's just applying theology in all areas and it's it's exciting man.

So here's the thing I'll say to just for your benefit and for the listeners benefit and they might have experienced this

I've gone to other places that try to do like a Christian content thing yeah, and I feel the quality is sometimes subpar because they're look they're looking and searching and trying to want to get so much content that they allow the

Standards to lower and I haven't found that on Canon Yeah, I feel like your authors the films that you put on there the podcast

It's just very high quality stuff. But yet you still have such a vast amount of content

Yeah, yeah, I feel like is that kind of been the goal with Canon like yeah, let's have content But let's make sure it's good.

Exactly. I know what you're aiming for. There's a lot of checks with that stuff I think quality is is basically key and just about everything that we do and I've I've really been impressed with the creative minds

That we have there. Yeah, you have you have the creative minds and then you have the minds that sort of check over That's it's just it works

There's there's the synchronicity With what's happening at Canon press where you can work efficiently

But also like you were saying there isn't this need to to push something out before we're ready for it

And we really want the quality To meet our standards before before we actually put it out there

So there's but that also makes it exciting because there's so much stuff in the bank that I'm hearing about every day at work

Yeah, so it's it's really cool to be surrounded by stuff that you consume yourself that I'm you know

I was complete before working at Canon it was I'm reading every day.

Yeah, and and now to be surrounded about it or by it and and know about what's coming It's it's super exciting.

So yeah, it's awesome. Yeah, it's neat to have it all in one place, too I used to have to Google and then get on Facebook and then find a you know

Recorded live video or go find this link or something and you kind of have done a nice thing where it's all right there in The app.

Yeah all sectioned off. Okay. I like my demar. I like my Doug Wilson I like, you know, whatever it is

Yeah, you seem to have the the majority obviously not gonna have everything that anyone's ever said or done Yeah, but a lot of it and like I said good content, too

So as we wrap up here looking six months out or a year out, what do we see for Canon do we

I mean? We see growth. Yeah, because just from six months ago When we were talking to your

CEO down there, you guys have grown by leaps and bounds Oh, man, so so what's on the horizon in the next year for listeners that are going?

Yeah, I want to get on the app or I want to support Canon Yeah, yeah, so right now we're we're really hoping that listeners can get on board with supporting the movie

We need to fund that before we can green light it as far as production starting We have a screenplay and stuff so they can go to our website actually the web page is a ride

Sally movie and you can To help us sort of fund that and then after that we actually are revamping the you talked about the app

They're being big and and not having hundreds of employees to solely work on that Sure, we've been working on putting in a new version of the app.

So that's sort of 2 .0 Fixing a lot of the bugs and it's gonna have a whole new look. So we're really excited about that and that's coming very soon

That's all so so the app is going to be upgraded we've got this movie and then we've got you know a new title just about every month coming out and Any even more than that in some some of these months?

So there's a lot a lot to be excited about and and we're also Darren Dune And I don't know if you guys interviewed him yet.

Sure. He's coming by in a little bit There's there's also an announcement with Darren Doan and can impress

Yeah You know don't doesn't keep anything quiet Yeah, yeah, so we're excited about his show that's gonna be on the app and Yeah, and there's there's just a lot of exciting stuff.

I think Canon is really diversifying as far as content goes And this app is just gonna be a place where everyone can get it.
