Today we're going to look at an objective way to know which religion is true and see that, again, Christianity is unique among all other religions.
01:32
Many people think there's thousands of religions in the world. In fact, there are only two religions in the entire world.
01:37
The religion of human effort and the religion of divine effort. When you break down every religion in the world, you will find all of them, except for Christianity, will add some level of human effort to getting right with God.
01:49
The way to note the difference between true religion and false religion, or a God -made religion and a man -made religion, is determined by who does the work.
01:57
Man will always praise his own works, and that's how we can identify a man -made religion. Every man -made religion, we see that human works play a role in being in a right state with God.
02:09
Even within Catholicism, which tries to argue that we're saved by faith, states that we're saved by faith plus works.
02:15
If you add any element of human works to God's divine work, then the ultimate effort is man's, and you diminish the work of God.
02:25
Some like to say that God did 99 % of salvation, and now you must do the 1%.
02:30
However, when you look at this formula, you see that God has done all he can, and the ultimate decision is based upon the human effort.
02:37
What all man -made religions have in common is that they raise human effort to be the ultimate benefactor in being right state with God.
02:46
Only in Christianity do we see the effort to get right with God is fully 100 % the work of God.
02:53
Christianity does not integrate human works into redemption. The true and God -made religion is the one which
03:01
God receives all the glory, all the honor, and all the credit. Only Christianity teaches that people cannot earn redemption.
03:11
As we study all the religions, we see Christianity stands out unique, and above the rest, the only religion based completely on divine effort.
03:20
God himself was his own sacrifice, and God himself is the only one that can do the work on behalf of mankind.
