Sermon: Exposing and Ending Abortion

This sermon was preached in at a conference in Australia by Pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church/Radio/TV. In this message, Jeff explains the history of his own involvement in ministry to abortion-mills. This is ministry that has led to over 60-babies being saved from death and to the Gospel being preached thousands of times. If you would like more information on getting your church involved in this type of ministry, go to https://endabortionnow.com and https://apologiaradio.com. Proverbs 24, I warn you before you read this text, before you hear it, that this text comes with a lot of obligations and responsibilities for those who hear it.
00:17
And so I invite you to leave the room if you do not want to consider your role, my role, in this issue, because again, the
00:30
Word of God here comes with a lot of responsibility when you hear it, especially when you hear it in light of our current circumstances in my nation and yours and what's happening to little children on a daily basis in our neighborhoods.
00:47
Proverbs 24, verse 10, if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small, rescue those who are being taken away to death, hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.
01:05
If you say, behold, we did not know this, does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
01:14
Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it? And will he not repay man according to his work?
01:26
Hopefully you can understand that. God explicitly tells his people to hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter, to rescue those who are being taken away to death.
01:42
And the response is, well, we didn't know. We didn't know.
01:48
We weren't aware. We weren't sure. We just didn't know. God says, doesn't he who keeps watch over your soul know what you know?
01:59
And will he not repay man according to his work? Will not
02:04
God have a response to people who sit in the midst of injustice and slaughter and death?
02:15
Will he not have a response to those who knew it was taking place around them and did nothing?
02:24
Now when I bring this to you today, I want you to know with humility for me that I was not always consistent in this area, and I'm still not consistent in this area.
02:34
I know that I don't do enough. This is not an area that I held together completely right in my own mind.
02:41
Of course, coming to Christ and understanding God's word and understanding what he says about us and the world and babies and understanding
02:48
God's saying that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that he knits us together in our mother's womb and understanding the biblical worldview and God's unique creation of image bearers of God.
02:58
Understanding that from early on, of course, I was pro -life. Of course, I was. I mean, you have to be if you're a
03:06
Christian. If you believe God's word and what he says about us and the world and babies, you have to be.
03:12
You just have to be. But I was the kind of Christian that was pro -life mostly between my ears, mostly in Christian context.
03:20
I was the kind of Christian who would speak about abortion or against abortion in church at least once a year.
03:27
I was the kind of Christian where if I was at a coffee shop with other Christians, we'd talk about it. It was something that we were opposed to.
03:33
I was the kind of Christian that would vote for pro -life candidates and thought, well, that's part of my duty is to make sure that I stand for image bearers of God and I stand against injustice.
03:44
And so I'm pro -life in that respect. But I wasn't always consistent. And I just want to share my story.
03:51
It's not overly important what has happened to me, but I think it does offer hopefully some encouragement to you to see somebody who has utterly failed in this area and then
04:00
God uses the work of somebody who has failed in this area and then turns away from that and takes a step of obedience towards rescuing those stumbling to the slaughter.
04:10
It's kind of encouraging what God does. And I can multiply this story over and over and over and the things that I've seen in believers that have changed their mind on this issue.
04:18
So we have had a radio show for many, many years, Apologia Radio. God has really tremendously blessed it.
04:25
And it's humbling to be a part of that. It started with a radio show called Redemption Radio that was paid for by the hospital that I was a chaplain at.
04:32
And then they essentially turned to a secular organization, no longer Christian, and bought out by a secular hospital company.
04:39
They were no longer going to pay for a Christian radio program. So we asked God, Lord, do you want us to continue with this work?
04:45
And we ended up doing Apologia Radio on our own, which is what we wanted to do anyways. And as Apologia Radio was going forward, we were experiencing all kinds of blessing, people all over the world listening.
04:57
This year, we'll probably have close to a million direct downloads of Apologia Radio all over the world. Our second most listened to place on the planet is
05:05
Australia. So praise God, yeah. First is United States, then Australia. And I don't think
05:12
Canada's even on the list. So I love the jab at Canada. So we were looking for some good shows to do that would be a blessing to people.
05:22
We like each show to be a teaching moment for people. We want it to not just be sort of a mess and just something we do.
05:28
We want it to be a really long -term teaching tool. And so here's what happened.
05:33
I was thinking about some new shows I wanted to do, and I remember thinking about shows, and I saw coming across my feed this woman named
05:41
Lisa Metzger. And I remembered from high school a girl I went to school with named
05:46
Lisa Metzger, and so I thought that's who it was. And so I started seeing Lisa Metzger come across my
05:52
Facebook feed, and I saw her outside of abortion mills, and I thought, oh, that's interesting.
05:58
Like, I didn't know how I felt about that. Like, I thought in my own mind, the way the media painted that picture for me and the way
06:04
I had thought about it, I thought about Christians outside of abortion mills as sort of like hostile, militant, a lot of heat, no real light, didn't know if it was really effective.
06:13
But I saw her out there, and she looked actually rather sweet, and like she was doing some pretty cool stuff.
06:18
And so I kept an eye on it, kept seeing it come across my feed, and I started seeing different pictures. I saw pictures of Lisa in the hospital with women and little babies.
06:28
And I kept seeing them. Different hospital room, different woman, different baby. I kept seeing this.
06:34
I kept seeing abortion mill pictures, and then hospitals and women and babies. And I started thinking to myself, well, this is amazing.
06:40
These are babies that she saved outside of abortion mills. This is, it actually can be done. So I sent her a message through Facebook and assumed that it was
06:48
Lisa that I went to school with. And I was like, hey, Lisa, would you mind if you came to my radio show to talk about your work outside of abortion clinics?
06:57
And she's like, of course, no problem. So we set up the date and got to the studio, and we had our tech caller.
07:03
And so about a minute before we went on the air, I, again, assumed this was Lisa from high school.
07:10
And so she gets on the phone with me, and I said, oh, great to have you on today. Here's what it's going to look like. And so I said, so we went to high school together, right?
07:17
She said, no. I was like, so Lisa Metzger, you're not the
07:23
Lisa Metzger from Westlake High School in Maryland? And she said, no. And I said, okay.
07:32
How do we know each other? She says, I don't know. I said, do you know who
07:39
I am? She said, no. I said, how are we friends on Facebook?
07:46
And she said, I don't know. I don't, I'm not in the habit of going around and friending other women.
07:52
And so I didn't friend her and she didn't friend me. I don't, we, to this day, we both don't know how we became friends on Facebook.
07:59
And I began to see what took place in my feed, in her life. So as the show was going on, we're talking about her ministry and what she did.
08:08
You can actually, by the way, hear this show. It's in our archives at apologyoradio .com. I'm asking her about her mission, what she's done.
08:15
She says she's done this ministry for like two decades. She's done it since she was a kid with her parents, I believe. And so she's going on about, she goes out there.
08:22
It's about the gospel. She preaches repentance and faith. She calls the woman to come to Christ. She offers help. I thought this is wonderful.
08:28
Like this actual gospel saturated abortion mill ministry. And so I said to her, I said, we have all these babies
08:34
I'm seeing that you've actually saved. And she's like, yeah, it's, it's really amazing. And so I said, how many babies have you saved?
08:40
And she said, she said like 363. So I thought to myself,
08:47
I mean, I literally, if you could have had a camera in the room that day with Luke and Joy and I, our jaws were like on the table.
08:53
It was like 363. It's 363 babies saved? Like all those years of ministry, like 20 years of ministry and 363 babies are alive today because you brought the gospel to abortion mills.
09:07
Unbelievable. And my heart sank like this is actually possible. And she said, yeah, 363 last year.
09:16
And so that was an immediate cutting moment.
09:23
It was a moment of conviction, a moment of awe over God and a moment of, we have to do something.
09:31
So Apology at Church is a small church, about 250 people, if everyone were there all at once, but at the time it was much smaller.
09:38
There wasn't, there wasn't many at all. We were really a growing small church. And so a couple of people at Apology at Church heard that episode and all of a sudden we started actually having people that were stirred saying,
09:50
Pastor Jeff, we have to do something. We have, we have to do something. What are we going to do? And the answer is this, right? We didn't know what to do.
09:56
We weren't good at this. We weren't professionals. We didn't take courses. We didn't take classes, nothing.
10:01
We knew something was happening. They're murdering babies. We knew that they needed the gospel and we knew we love these women and these babies and these men.
10:09
We wanted to help them. That's all we knew. And so we had someone at Apology at Church named
10:14
Jamie started doing some reconnaissance work, sort of going to the local abortion mills, going in to ask questions, trying to figure out what days they were doing the slaughtering.
10:23
And we decided to go. So we got some signs, some graphic signs. They do the heavy lifting for us.
10:29
They actually tell the story. You can't argue with what's going on in there when the sign is shouting it to them.
10:35
So the signs do the heavy lifting. We hate carrying them. We hate everything about them, but they are effective.
10:40
They've actually stopped women from killing their babies. When we brought them, we got some signs. We tried to figure out local resources for these ladies and we decided to go.
10:50
The first day we went to Planned Parenthood, went to Planned Parenthood in Phoenix. We were outside that clinic for maybe 30 minutes and then two girls came up, about 16 years old and 14 years old, both pregnant.
11:04
And they both came to get an abortion. And so after talking to us for just a few minutes, it was our first time being out there.
11:11
We gave them the gospel. We told them God commands them not to murder their child, that we will do everything.
11:17
We said, we will adopt your baby. We have a church that's on standby right now. We already had, at this point, numerous families committed to take every single baby that they would give to us.
11:27
And we had a lawyer on standby ready to write up the contracts. We had everything in position and we were able to speak to these two girls and they decided, okay, we'll listen.
11:37
We'll go with you. So we got them into our cars. We took them to a crisis pregnancy center, got them some testing and they decided not to kill their babies that day.
11:45
And so that was our very first day. Now, that was about three years ago and since that time confirmed that we know of.
11:52
Now, this is just a number that we know of. You need to understand that the number is much, much higher than this because a lot of times women don't tell us, but this is only what we can confirm.
12:01
We have about 60 babies saved from death at the local abortion mills in the
12:07
Phoenix area. 60 babies saved from death. And some of these babies I've held in my arms. Some of these babies actually, from time to time, run around Apologia Church during the worship service.
12:17
It's really actually twin girls. Olivia, Grace, and Kara were twin girls saved from Planned Parenthood in Tempe.
12:25
It's a really interesting story. Rebecca is the mom. Rebecca went into Planned Parenthood to get the abortion and she's sitting in the lobby.
12:33
And this is really, really amazing. Some of the local abortion mills that we go to, the women are actually rather close to us.
12:39
So we're on the sidewalk, public sidewalk. We're allowed to be there and the women don't have to park and they can see our eyes.
12:46
They're close enough to see our faces and we're not hostile. We do not hate them. Sometimes we can just talk.
12:51
Can you please come talk to me for a second? I just want to share something with you. Please just know that we love you and we're pleading with you for the life of your baby and we'll help you.
13:00
Sometimes it's very easy. We don't have to shout. But this particular location, Planned Parenthood in Tempe, Planned Parenthood sets up their locations across the country in minority -dominant areas, which is consistent with Margaret Sanger's original design and desire.
13:18
She essentially wanted to wipe out the Negro race. And this particular Planned Parenthood is right next to the female dorms at ASU.
13:29
Prime location for their work. But this one is set up in a plaza where it's like this.
13:36
So there's businesses that lead all the way up and businesses this way, a parking lot. And they're back in the corner tucked away so we can't walk on the property.
13:44
We'll get arrested. And we have to really raise our voice. But there's a corridor this way and that way.
13:50
So we have a team that stands here and a team that stands on the other side of the street over there calling in, taking turns each time.
13:56
Well, Rebecca goes inside and she's way away inside the building. And here's the thing that we found out later, is that every time the door opens to this
14:05
Planned Parenthood, because of the way it's set up far away, Planned Parenthood did it on purpose, because of the way it's set up, our voices travel through the corridor because of the way it's set up.
14:16
So our voices have only one place to go, and that's into Planned Parenthood. So she said that every time the door opened, our voices carried inside and it sounded like, it sounds like we're standing in the room with them.
14:28
So while the women are inside, she says it's an eerie silence. She said it's a deafening silence when that door isn't opening up.
14:36
And she said, every time it opens, our voices carry in and all you hear is, Mom, please don't kill your baby.
14:41
Please let us help you. You need to know there's forgiveness in Christ. Repent and turn to him for life. We'll help you.
14:46
It's coming in the door, in the door, in the door. So she's in that room that day, Rebecca is, and she hears one of our friends on the other side calling in saying, we will help you.
14:56
We'll give you anything that you need. Just please come and talk to us. And so she decided defiantly, they can't help anybody.
15:03
So she gets up sort of defiant, walking out the door, and she walks right up to Sherry, my friend, and she said something to the effect of, what can you do to help?
15:12
And so Sherry just shared the gospel with her right there, told her about her sin, her need for Jesus, the life of her baby, what
15:18
God calls her to do as a mother for her child. She pleaded with her for the life of her baby. And so Rebecca decided that day not to go through with the abortion.
15:29
And about a week later, she went to get her ultrasound. And when she got her ultrasound, she found out she was having twin girls,
15:37
Olivia, Grace, and Kara. And so now Rebecca has become one of our greatest assets in our ministry in terms of she has one of the greatest voices.
15:44
I've gotten to hold these babies in my arms. And that is something that will change you forever.
15:49
You will never be the same after you hold one of these babies that was moments away from being torn limb from limb.
15:57
And so our ministry started in that way. And as a result of us just taking a step out in faith and going to these abortion mills to plead for the lives of these babies, to bring the gospel and to offer help, now we stopped counting at 20 ministries that have started as a result of listening to us on Apologia Radio.
16:17
Across the country and even in other nations now, people going to abortion mills to offer help, to plead for the lives of their babies, and to bring the gospel.
16:27
And so at this point, we don't know. The number may be somewhere in a thousand or thousands of babies.
16:33
I get notices constantly from people around the world telling me as a result of listening to us, now they go out.
16:39
I got actually a message from somebody a couple of months ago. They said, hey, Jeff, as a result of listening to you on Apologia Radio, we started our own ministry locally to the abortion mills.
16:48
We've saved five babies in the last couple of months. He said one of the women has stayed with us for two months because we offered to help her and now we're taking care of her and taking care of her needs, and she decided not to kill her child.
17:02
That's what happens when Christians take a step out in faith and in trust of God.
17:10
Now, I want to say this as we kind of move through here a bit. If anybody in this room today has had an abortion, you need to know that hearing what
17:23
I have to say today is not in any way intended to wound you. It's not in any way intended to bring up old thoughts of past sin.
17:33
You need to know that if you are a woman in this room today or a man that is engaged in the sin of abortion and you've come to Christ, that God says in His Word, He will remember your sins no more.
17:45
He doesn't even remember them. He has counted you righteous in Jesus Christ. You have a blameless, perfect record of law -keeping because it's
17:54
Christ's record. Your sins have been washed away to never be remembered again. You will never be condemned for this sin ever again, and I want to say if you are a woman or a man who is engaged in this sin, you have one of the most powerful voices in this area, more powerful than mine.
18:12
Some of the people that come to the abortion mill with us, men and women, have engaged in this sin, and they have some of the most effective voices that you can imagine outside of the abortion mill.
18:23
So you need to know that if this is something that you've done, God has forgiven you. You are washed in Jesus' blood.
18:29
It is to God's glory that you've been redeemed out of this. You need to know that God loves you, and you need to know that you have one of the most effective testimonies in this area, and you need to trust
18:41
God with that. Trust God. There's a woman that goes with us. She comes out with us.
18:49
She has had an abortion, and the way she speaks about it is so bold.
18:55
She is so bold the way she talks about it. She tells women who are going in there, the women are trying to say, you don't even know what you're talking about.
19:02
You couldn't understand what I'm going through. She says, no, I murdered my child. She says it directly, and she says it bluntly.
19:08
She says, I'm a murderer. I murdered my child. God has forgiven me of my sin. I want to rescue you from being what
19:16
I am in myself. And so it is powerful. It's a motivating force in a person's life to hear something like that.
19:25
So I want to tell you one of the most important things in this issue, and if you can remember anything from this message, remember this.
19:34
In this issue, we have got to start as a church telling people the truth.
19:40
Now I want you to just think about that for a moment, please. We've got to start telling people the truth. We've got to stop behaving like the world and being afraid to use a serrated edge and to use the right language.
19:53
Here's what God says about human beings. We're made in God's image. He says, of course, you know the past passage,
20:01
Psalm 139, he says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. He says that we are knit together in our mother's womb by God.
20:10
It says very clearly that all of our days were written in his book before there was even one of them. And so we know from God's word,
20:17
God calls the life in the womb an image bearer of God, and it is from the moment of conception.
20:23
And God actually has in his law, when he gave what were a righteous standards of justice in a society, he gave a case law example of two men who were fighting, it's a case law example, and actually caused the death of a baby in the womb.
20:40
And he says that if you cause the death of a baby in the womb, that the criminal punishment, capital punishment should be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, it's essentially the death penalty.
20:56
How does God feel about the child in the womb? He says that it's a human being, and that if you kill it, and you actually affect its death in the womb, then in terms of justice in society,
21:08
God said that it should be capital punishment. And capital punishment under God's law was only given, in these cases, of course, for murder.
21:17
So God sees it as murder. So when I say we need to start telling the truth, I mean that as Christians we have got to start telling the world the true story.
21:29
One of the words that we're afraid to use is murder. But I want to say that if we intend to make this issue an actual gospel issue and not merely a political issue of preference and tradition, if we want it to be about the gospel, then we have to use the right words, the words that God uses.
21:51
We need to make this an issue about the law of God being violated. And you need to understand, we need to understand, that if we want this to be effective in terms of somebody stopping what they're planning to do, we have to actually tell them so that their conscience is pricked and God can use that message to draw them out of what they're doing.
22:11
So think for a moment about the context. If I call into an abortion mill and I say something like this,
22:17
God loves you, don't you understand, brothers and sisters, that when you shout to somebody,
22:24
God loves you, who's about to murder their child, that they're already banking on that fact?
22:31
We've seen so many different people come to abortion mills and say particular things.
22:37
I saw a woman once come to the abortion mill and she brought balloons and she brought signs that said
22:42
God loves you. Do you know what people said to her as they were going in to kill their babies? They said, I know.
22:49
He'll forgive me. They're banking on the fact that God loves them.
22:55
They know it in their heart of hearts that God is a God of love and that's what they bank on. He loves me, he'll forgive me.
23:02
I've had women tell me as I call, please do not murder your child. I'm pleading with you, please do not kill your child.
23:08
Have mercy on your baby. Please, mom, don't kill your son. Don't kill your daughter. Come and talk to us.
23:14
We'll help you. I've had women say to me, I'm Catholic. God will forgive me. I've had women say to me,
23:20
I'm a Christian. I know, I know. God will forgive me. They're banking on the fact that God loves them and he is a
23:27
God of forgiveness. What they need to know is the law of God that's about to be violated.
23:34
What did we get in that last message, which was fantastic, by the way, that was a phenomenal message. What did we get?
23:39
That the unbeliever has, according to Romans chapter two, the law of God written where? Within them.
23:44
They know it. It's in their heart of hearts. That's what we need. That's the point of contact. That's us reaching into their lives to touch the right thing.
23:53
Listen, I don't believe for a moment that there's a single woman that has gone into an abortion mill to slaughter their own child.
24:00
I don't believe for a single moment that there's a woman who's walked in there who has not considered for days or hours before what she is about to do and that she doesn't know it in her heart of hearts.
24:11
I know that every woman that goes in there knows it. Our job outside of the abortion mill is to remind them of what they're trying to suppress.
24:19
You know you're a mom. You know what you're about to do. Please have mercy on your child.
24:25
God commands you not to murder your child. We have to tell the truth. My friend and the guy who's in charge of all of our production at Apologia Studios, Marcus Pittman, made a film called
24:37
Babies Are Murdered Here. Now think about how effective this is. This is powerful. It is powerful and it demonstrates the power that you have today as a
24:45
Christian with this gift of social media and internet and technology. Nobody gets to control the conversation anymore.
24:53
Nobody gets to dominate. Christians can step into this world right now and you can speak truth in such a way where you cannot be just washed away.
25:02
My friend Marcus made Babies Are Murdered Here, started a movement across the United States. People started going outside of abortion mills with a sign that said,
25:09
Babies Are Murdered Here. All across the country, Planned Parenthoods and women's centers started getting
25:15
Christians standing outside the abortion mill saying, Babies Are Murdered Here. Please turn to Christ. We will help you.
25:21
That was the message. Babies Are Murdered Here. Please turn to Christ. We will help you. Across the country.
25:26
Do you know what happened? Across the country, signs outside of abortion mills, Babies Are Murdered Here. Planned Parenthood.
25:34
Planned Parenthood, an organization that makes billions of dollars, that makes millions upon millions upon millions of dollars slaughtering innocent pre -born children.
25:47
They actually had to do a counter campaign against us.
25:54
Babies Are Murdered Here was the sign that went outside of all these abortion mills. Planned Parenthood had to start putting signs out across the country over their locations that said,
26:04
Health Care Happens Here. A movie that was made by Marcus for $5 ,000 was seen hundreds of thousands of times, started a movement across the country that ended up saving who knows how many thousands of babies' lives.
26:24
Forced Planned Parenthood to actually, Planned Parenthood corporate had to create a response saying,
26:30
No, no, no. It's not Babies Are Murdered Here. It's Health Care Happens Here. Do you see what happens? When Christians stand up, babies are not only saved, the gospel is proclaimed, and the darkness has to actually start dealing with the light.
26:45
I will tell you something a bit disheartening in all of this, and I want to prepare you for it if God is leading you now to start getting involved in a meaningful way in this fight.
26:55
Please hear this. I want to prepare you for what you're going to face. The greatest opposition that we have received in the last three years of this ministry has not been from the abortion mills.
27:09
It has not been from unbelievers. It has not been from the women who have gone inside of these abortion mills to take the lives of their own children.
27:18
The greatest opposition that we have received in three years consistently and every single time has been from professing
27:25
Christians. When we post stuff about going out to the abortion mill, you can see it.
27:32
People's social media flooded with other professing Christians saying, You shouldn't go out to the abortion mill.
27:38
That's not how you reach those women. You shouldn't be doing that kind of work. That's wrong. That's offensive work. You shouldn't be doing that kind of work.
27:45
You know what's amazing? Do you know what always kills it every single time? Always cast down the argument?
27:53
You share a picture of a baby saved from death. Someone says, Jeff, you shouldn't be going out there.
27:59
That's not effective. That's mean. That's rude. That's not nice. That's not loving to go to the abortion mill and to go out there and tell them not to murder their babies.
28:06
That's not loving. And then I share a picture of Carmelo. Carmelo saved from death while his mom was on the pre -op.
28:14
She was on pre -op. And the father went inside and almost kicked the door down after talking to us to get her out.
28:21
I've held Carmelo in my arms several times. So when someone says, You shouldn't be doing that kind of work,
28:26
I share a picture of Carmelo. You shouldn't be going there. You shouldn't be doing that. I share a picture of Olivia Grace and Cara, twin girls.
28:34
What I generally ask is, What about Carmelo? What about Olivia Grace? Should I have not gone?
28:40
You see, there is no response. But I like to ask Christians who say that you shouldn't go to abortion mills, is I ask this question.
28:46
Okay. All right. So you know my methodology. Go to the abortion mill, plead for the lives of their baby, preach the gospel and offer help.
28:54
That's my methodology. We've saved 60 babies that we know of. 60 babies alive today because of that methodology.
29:00
How many babies have you saved? How many? And when they say zero, what
29:09
I say is, Well, my methodology seems to be working a little better. That's not in any way to be arrogant.
29:18
It's just in terms of what is actually faithful and what actually does work for the glory of God.
29:24
Let me ask this to that person. They say, You shouldn't go out to the abortion mills. I'll say, How many people have heard you preach the gospel in this area of abortion?
29:32
How many? Generally they say, Not sure. Maybe one or two.
29:38
I say, Well, since we started three years ago, it has been tens of thousands of times we've preached the gospel.
29:46
What's more effective? You see, I know for sure without a doubt that Carmelo is glad that we were there.
29:54
I know Olivia Grace, they're glad that we were there. And I know that the mothers, Rebecca, Tina and these women,
30:01
I know that they will look at us with tears in their eyes and say, I can't thank you enough for being there.
30:08
Thank you for confronting me. Thank you for stopping me. There's a video we have up on YouTube. It's called the sermon that shocked everyone.
30:15
It's got like 1 .5 million views. Praise God for that. It's an hour long sermon, 1 .5
30:20
million views. That's like a miracle in our culture, right? With Vine videos, like 30 seconds, we were like,
30:26
No, it's too long, right? It's amazing. At the end of that message, I bring Tina up with Carmelo and she cries in front of the whole entire crowd saying,
30:35
Please get like get involved. Please do something. Here's a woman who was going to kill her baby now holding her baby in her arms saying to Christians, Christians, please do something.
30:48
It's necessary work. It is necessary. Let me just tell you what we do. When we go to the abortion mills, we know the words of God.
30:56
What did I say to us today? Stand on the rock, stand on the word of God, right? And so we go to the abortion mills.
31:03
We stand on the word of God. We say three things. It's not magic. We're not spectacular and amazing.
31:10
We haven't had hours and hours and hours of training. We do teach people now how to do it, but it was not a lot to it.
31:16
We know that we have about 30 seconds from car door to door, about 30 seconds.
31:22
The women will generally get out. Usually they're dropped off in a cab or they come and a friend drops them off or their boyfriend drops them off and then runs off and takes off for a while with his music blaring.
31:34
But the women will get out of the car and they're usually wearing sweats. Planned Parenthood tells them to wear sweats, wear something comfortable.
31:41
And so we know that they're there for surgical abortion because of what they're wearing. And so from door to door, we have about 30 seconds.
31:48
And what we say to them, three things. We cycle through three things. We know that faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of Christ, and we know that the gospel is the power of God for salvation.
31:58
And so that's what we preach. We say, number one, mom, please don't murder your child today.
32:04
We tell the truth. We tell them, mom, they're going to take your arms and legs off of your baby boy and girl today.
32:15
Please don't let them decapitate and disembowel your child today.
32:21
Please do not murder your child today. We tell them there is forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
32:27
He is God in the flesh. He lived a perfect life and died for sinners and rose from the dead.
32:32
We proclaim the gospel and we say, please turn from sin to come to Christ. He will forgive you. He will give you life.
32:39
Don't be hard hearted. Please come and talk to us. And we tell them finally, the third thing is we will help you.
32:45
We will adopt your child. What do you need from us? We'll give it to you. What are you afraid? We want to help you.
32:50
What do you need? Do you need money? Do you need food? Do you need shelter? Do you need cribs?
32:57
Do you need anything? We'll adopt your baby. It'll cost you nothing. Now, when we were planning to go to the abortion mill, we didn't really know what to expect exactly.
33:11
So we started planning on how we would adopt these babies. So we thought we'd be able to convince these moms we would actually pay for the whole process.
33:18
We had a doctor in town who was willing to do the entire process, even the birth itself for free if they chose not to kill their baby.
33:26
And so we would tell them, we'll adopt your baby. It'll cost you absolutely nothing. We have loving families. I would say,
33:32
I'm a pastor. I've got four kids of my own. I would love to adopt your child. I will love your child for the rest of its life.
33:38
Please give us that opportunity. Please don't murder your child today. I was told by friends who have done this kind of ministry, they've said,
33:45
Jeff, they're not going to do it. I said, why? Why not? I said, Jeff, they're going to tell you that they couldn't give their baby up for adoption.
33:55
And so I can't tell you how many times I have heard that. We'll go to the moms that are going in.
34:02
We'll say, please don't do this. We'll preach the gospel. We'll say, we'll help you. We'll adopt your baby. I say, please let me adopt your baby.
34:08
Please let me adopt your baby. I will love your child for the rest of its life. And they will turn around and look at us.
34:13
And we've heard it so many times, I can't even count it. They'll say, I couldn't give my baby up for adoption.
34:19
And then they'll walk inside and they'll kill their child. It really is amazing to hear a mother say that she couldn't give her child up for adoption.
34:33
And she goes in and she pays an assassin to murder her child. So those are the three things that we say.
34:40
If you want to know, what do you do? How is it effective? Those are the three things. We say, number one, please don't murder your child.
34:46
Number two, this is the gospel. Number three, we'll help you. And the effect of us being there has been, as I said, at least 60 babies that we know of saved from death.
34:55
That's just locally. And I know that I have repenting to do. I know that I could be doing more.
35:02
There are areas that we're getting into in the next year that are very, very important for us. We're not just going to the abortion mills where the murder is taking place.
35:10
We're actually now going to be speaking this next year. We have a part of our team at the Red Door Ministry, which is what we call it.
35:16
A part of our team now is going to be focusing on the legislature. In Arizona right now, there is a law on the books that says it is a criminal charge if you have an abortion.
35:28
Roe v. Wade happened. And if you know the way our government is supposed to work, courts in America can't make laws.
35:37
We have fallen away from how our system is supposed to operate in the United States. And people have just bought into the lie that courts can create laws in the
35:46
United States of America. But after Roe v. Wade, many of the states started believing that Roe v.
35:53
Wade had some bearing on their own state's laws. It doesn't. In Arizona right now, it is against the law to have an abortion.
36:01
It is criminal charges. And so what we're doing this next year is we're working with the legislature to essentially, and this is really weird, to essentially create a law that looks to the law that already exists to say, yeah, we should do that.
36:16
We have to create a law that says, look, see it? We should do that.
36:22
Roe v. Wade has no bearing on our state's ability to protect babies in the womb. And so we are going to be speaking prophetically to the legislature, but know this, we believe that as Christians, we have to be consistent in this fight as Christians.
36:39
In other words, we are not saying this is just our preference. We're not saying this is just tradition for us.
36:46
We like the tradition of not having abortion. We're saying this is an issue of sin.
36:52
It is murder. God calls it murder. God commands us not to murder our own children. And we're calling our legislatures to repentance.
37:02
Understand this, if we're going to ever see revival, if we're ever going to see transformation in the United States or in Australia, it is not going to be through simple political processes.
37:11
It is not going to be through dumbing down the language. If we're going to see national repentance, the national repentance is going to come because we understand our sin and the need for our savior.
37:22
If we want to see Australia change, if we want to see the United States change, it's going to come because the gospel is up front.
37:30
Abortion will end in Australia and the United States when there is national repentance in both countries.
37:37
And here's what we need to be doing as Christians. The media can no longer control this. In the 60s and 70s and even 80s, the media can control the conversation because it was expensive to create television shows.
37:50
It was expensive to get the message out. We did an event this last year that cost us $5 ,000 to put on in travel costs for our speakers and to stream it live.
38:01
We had churches across the nation set up with dozens and dozens of participants watching a live stream of an
38:08
End Abortion Now event. We had 20 ,000 some odd people watching our live stream.
38:15
It cost us $5 ,000 to put on. A worldwide movement can be done in this, but here's the thing.
38:23
Christians have to stop placating to the unbelievers and to the secular system, buying into their terminology and language.
38:30
We need to actually be speaking light into it. We need to make sure we take away their words like pro -choice and reproductive rights and those sorts of things, understanding they're attempting to control the conversation.
38:43
We need to speak the truth into it and control the conversation with the truth. It's not reproductive rights.
38:51
You want the right to murder your child. It's not abortion per se.
38:57
It is slaughtering your son or your daughter. Now these words, these phrases might actually seem graphic, but let me tell you what's more graphic.
39:08
What's more graphic is a 19 -year -old woman walking into an abortion clinic, plopping $500 down on the desk, and then a man, a hired assassin going into this woman and tearing the arms and legs and head off of a little boy, taking that child out of the woman in pieces, putting it back together again on a tray to make sure, like a puzzle, to make sure that an arm wasn't left inside or its little heart wasn't left inside or its head wasn't left inside.
39:47
Put the baby back together on a tray again to make sure that she's safe and nothing's left inside of her.
39:54
That actually is graphic. And that is happening in my nation over 3 ,000 times a day.
40:03
For those of you guys are keeping track, that's a 9 -11 every single day in America. So when someone says, well, we can't be that aggressive, we can't use that kind of terminology, brothers and sisters, it is just to our shame that we don't speak the truth in this area because in my nation alone we have over 60 million babies deep.
40:25
It's not a number that we can really even understand. I have to confess that. I don't comprehend it and I don't treat it the way that I should.
40:33
I know that I still have repentance to do in this area. There are still people dying every single day in my neighborhoods and I do not do enough.
40:43
I'm not saying as a Christian that every single one of you is called to live your lives outside of an abortion mill.
40:50
Some of you are. Some of you are. But I can say this as a
40:57
Christian, every single one of us is called by God to be a part of ending the death of these children financially, prayerfully, through something, substance, something.
41:12
Going to the abortion mill, speaking the truth in your culture, saying to people what it actually is, taking away their attempt to soften what's happening.
41:23
I'll give you an example of a couple of things that we need to be ready for as Christians. Remember I told you the rule, Proverbs 26, 4 -5, don't answer the fool according to their folly, right?
41:32
And then answer the fool according to their folly, right? So don't answer the fool according to their folly in this case is not allowing them to control the conversation.
41:42
When they say reproductive rights, tell the truth. Don't stand where they stand. Use the right terminology, tell the truth.
41:49
When they use a terminology and they start saying things like it's not a baby, it's a fetus, you need to use the right terminology.
41:56
Use the word of God and stand on it. What does God call this? So a couple of things, just briefly, fast.
42:01
I'll go through these quickly to show you some of these arguments. Some of the most common arguments we hear outside the abortion clinic, number one, ready?
42:08
It's not a baby, it's a fetus. Don't murder your child, don't murder your baby.
42:14
They say it's not a baby, it's a fetus. It's interesting because the word fetus is actually, it comes from a
42:22
Latin word and it means small child or baby. So when they say it's not a baby, it's a fetus, what
42:31
I say to them is, why are you speaking Latin today? They say, what? Why are you speaking
42:37
Latin? Why don't you speak English? What do you mean? Well, Latin is, sorry, fetus is a
42:42
Latin word. It means small child or baby. And so what you're saying right now, if we put in English is it's not a baby, it's a baby.
42:51
So it's important to get past that rhetoric and get right down to the heart of what's actually going on.
42:58
It is in fact a baby. If they say, no, no, it's not a baby. It's not a baby. It's just a mass.
43:05
Tell them, you understand, of course, that you are using an argument that is decades old, that people in your camp today who are in the pro -choice camp, people who are pro -abortion, don't use that argument anymore because it's a dead argument.
43:21
They wouldn't dare. Not before a live audience, not publicly, say it's just a clump of tissues.
43:27
It's just a mass. It's not a baby. No, because see, here's how people in your camp speak now.
43:33
They say things like, I know it's a baby. I should still have the right to kill it. Because what we know from biological science today, not just scripture,
43:41
God calling it life, God calling it a baby and calling you not to murder it. But biological science today, if I step into your worldview and you believe so strongly in science, then what we know from science today is
43:54
SLED, S -L -E -D, S -L -E -D. Remember this.
43:59
Size, the only difference between a human being at conception to where you are at today is in size, level of development, environment, and degree of dependence.
44:12
Size, let's go through it real fast. When else in society are we allowed to kill other human beings because of their size?
44:21
It's really small. If we were allowed to kill people because of their size, my wife is in trouble because she is a midget.
44:30
She is so small, right? And I'm playful about that. She is really, really small. My wife is small.
44:36
And if we were allowed to kill people based upon their size, do we have that now in, in actually part of our justice system?
44:41
Well, your honor, they were real little. It's laughable because we all understand that is a fallacious way of reasoning with human beings.
44:52
I killed them. I have a right to it. They were really small. Well, in that case, our one -year -olds are in a lot of trouble.
44:59
Our three -year -olds and our six -year -olds are in a lot of trouble. Anybody who was small is in trouble.
45:05
Level of development. Someone says it's not fully developed yet. Let's try that.
45:12
Is a five -year -old fully developed? A six -year -old? A seven -year -old?
45:19
If we start killing other human beings because of the level of development, then we're in big trouble.
45:26
Where do we draw the line now? Do we start killing three -year -olds because we say they're not fully developed yet? How about five -year -olds?
45:32
How about nine -year -olds? How about ten -year -olds? How about sixteen -year -olds? Teenagers would be in a lot of trouble if parents had the ability to use that argument and say, well, you're obviously not fully developed yet.
45:45
So we recognize how fallacious that is. Understand that biologically speaking, when it gets hooked up at the moment of conception, you have all of the biological components of you.
46:01
The entire message of you is there at that moment of conception. The only difference between where you were at conception and where you're at now is a difference of degree and change, growth.
46:15
Next, after sled, S -L -E is environment. Someone says, well, it's in me.
46:21
A woman says, it's inside my womb. And so what you're saying is we should be able to kill other human beings based upon their environment.
46:28
Well, in that case, human beings are in a lot of trouble because we go in and out of different environments all the time.
46:36
Do we start saying that this is a killing room and that's a non -killing room? If you step into this quarter of my house, then you're allowed to die because you're in a different environment.
46:45
What's really important to get across to women who say that it's in my body is that biologically speaking, that baby is not your body.
46:53
Women say it all the time in the United States. They say it's my body, my choice. Wrong. It is not your body.
47:00
You are not killing your body. If it was your body, you'd be dead after the abortion. When women say, my body, my choice, if that were the case, then you would be dead.
47:12
You'd be killing yourself. But when you walk out of that abortion clinic, you're not dead.
47:17
Somebody else is because it was never your body. It was another child. And biologically speaking, that child was completely different and distinct from you.
47:28
It was unique. Next is degree of dependence. Someone says it's dependent upon me for its life.
47:35
And so therefore I can kill it. In that case, my friends, six -month -olds.
47:43
We can kill them. Twelve -month, we can kill them. They're dependent upon their moms. Two -year -olds, we can kill them.
47:49
They're dependent upon their moms and dads. Five -year -olds, we can kill them. They're dependent upon their moms and dads. Sixteen -year -olds are dependent upon their moms and dads.
47:57
How How about this? We go out of degrees of dependence from birth to death. What happens when you meet that other side of the curve early on?
48:05
You're dependent upon your parents just to be fed and cleaned. And then you get to the other end of life, and what happens at the end of life?
48:14
You're dependent upon other human beings to be fed and to be cleaned. And if we say it's okay to kill other human beings because they're dependent upon others, now we've opened the door to slaughter 80 and 90 -year -old people who are dependent upon others.
48:29
How about handicapped people? They're dependent on people all the time. Do we say now because someone is handicapped and they're dependent upon another human being that we can slaughter them?
48:40
Understand this, that the pro -aborts arguments fail at every turn. I know
48:46
I'm going over on time here, but I want to make sure I feed this to you just briefly. Reproductive rights. Reproductive rights.
48:51
Reproductive rights. Someone says, reproductive rights. That's what they shout at Planned Parenthood. Reproductive rights. We want reproductive rights.
48:57
You know what I say? Amen. I like reproductive rights. I say, yeah,
49:03
I'm all for reproduction. God said be fruitful and multiply. I love it. Right? It's great. It's great.
49:09
Reproductive rights. I want everybody to have reproductive rights. This is their attempt to use rhetoric that gets an emotional appeal and we need to take it away.
49:18
How do you take it away? Show the internal inconsistency reproductive rights say nobody's arguing that you shouldn't have reproductive rights
49:26
Here's the point you've already reproduced You had the right you reproduced congratulations
49:36
You're arguing not for reproductive rights you're arguing that after you've reproduced you should be able to slaughter your child
49:43
You're not arguing for reproductive rights. It's already happened. You're arguing for post reproduction that you can murder this child
49:50
Take away their language Next somebody says we provide health care.
49:56
We don't just do abortions of Planned Parenthood. We provide health care We're not just doing abortions. We provide provide
50:02
STD testing We provide cancer screening which by the way We found out Planned Parenthood really didn't we provide all these services and you're arguing because of the the abortion issue
50:13
What I say is well Auschwitz served a great chicken soup
50:21
Auschwitz provided clothing and work Do we ignore the slaughter of millions of Jewish people
50:32
Because these concentration camps provided labor and clothing They provided all kinds of wonderful services not just murdering
50:40
Jews. You can't shut the camp down. You can't say the SS You can't say the Nazis were that bad. They were providing jobs to Jewish people and clothing.
50:48
They fed them and they clothed them Do you see the argument it falls completely apart? You can't say because these women's centers offer other services
50:56
That we should just turn a blind eye to the fact that they are slaughtering children And by the way, the numbers really are not true
51:03
The Planned Parenthood lives thrives off of the murder of children not simply these other services and finally just to show you this
51:10
They say what about rape? They appeal to the emotions.
51:15
What about rape? What if she was raped what people do in this industry is when they argue for abortion what they do is they take the least common examples of abortion they take life of the mother they take rape and incest and they drive the entire campaign based upon something that is less than 2 % of abortions that take place.
51:39
In other words, they use the emotional appeal over here to drive Abortion at will now, let's get into it answer the fool according to their following they say what about if she was raped?
51:54
So what I say is What's wrong with rape to which they say are you sick?
52:04
I Say no. No, I agree. Rape is is is evil in God's eyes He actually said in the Old Testament that it was capital punishment for someone that did rape
52:11
So I actually have a basis for saying rape is wrong, but I'm asking you what's wrong with rape They say rape rape is a violation of another human being
52:19
You're taking liberties with that person's body that you ought not to take you can't do that to another person
52:25
I say thank you for that wonderful pro -life arguments Because what you argue for an abortion is the very same thing that you say is wrong and rape
52:36
Taking liberties with another person's body that you ought not to take violating another human being for your own pleasure and comfort
52:45
So when you say Rape, I say that's the very basis for why we're opposed to abortion in the first place
52:53
Take away the emotional argument. There's much more that can be said, but I'm brothers and sisters Let me just ask you to consider what you can be doing in your own
53:01
State your own nation to slot to stop the slaughter of innocents. We have lots of resources online
53:06
Apology of studios on YouTube. I want to call you guys to get on your feet preach the gospel
53:12
Take a risk with your life It is worth it It is worth it and God commands us to do something to hold them back from the slaughter
