We have the law. And we have Jesus Christ all people that are not under Christ have to answer to the law. And Dennis the law demands what? Perfection or death. If you cannot be perfected you cannot put on the armor for someone else.
You have to do it yourself. Beginning with verse 8 in Romans 6 now if we be dead with Christ We believe also that we shall live with him. Dennis Why are we dead with Christ? Well, why? That's all true.
But why all right? It seems wonderfully strange That he chose us out of all of the people in the world. He chose me he chose you. And I didn't know anything about it. I Didn't have anything to do with it.
But this 8th verse I do believe now if we be dead with Christ We believe that we shall also live with him. Knowing That Christ being raised from the dead dies no more. Death has no more dominion over him.
John what's the word dominion mean? Well, it could all right. Fred. What's dominion mean Fred? Dennis. It's exactly what Fred said. Sin nature Does not have rule of you anymore. It's shut off dead. Disconnected then.
Joy. Why do we keep trying to reconnect it the guilt comes afterwards? Now, let's be sure we understand. The death of Christ on the cross. David how many deaths did he die? All right, he did he'd he'd he did it all right.
It's easy to see that physical death. But the spiritual death you have to understand the Bible in John 1931. Jesus therefore had received the vinegar. He said it is finished and he bowed his head and gave up the ghost.
You remember when Adam was put into the garden? He was told in verse 2 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it. For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The two words died Are perfect verbs. What does that mean? John one time forever He died. Now Liveth is the imperfect verb. What does that mean John? Forever. Do you begin to see how the very rules of grammar help us understand the Bible?
11 likewise Reckon ye also yourselves to be dead to the sin nature but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Now this word reckon the Greek word is log isomal log isomai and If I log isomide my bank book to have $25 in it Then it has $25 in it.
So Dennis, what does the word log isomai mean? I? Understand that my bank account has $25. Now. I wouldn't suppose that to be. I Wouldn't think maybe but we Likewise like Christ reckon that world little word reckon log isomai it deals Not with suppositions but with facts ye also yourselves to be dead present tense Indeed unto the sin nature but alive Present tense unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Mm-hmm. Now if Jesus had not resurrected If it'd been impossible for him to come out of the grave if he'd been just another person that Died and they buried him and he didn't resurrect. What would happen to us?
David it'll be just like everybody else no difference the Lord God didn't intend for our bodily appetites to Rule over us, but as long as we're in these bodies, we'll have a struggle with the flesh. Believe it or not.
Now maybe some of you don't have a struggle, but I do so we must daily Go before God through Jesus to reckon our nature dead and But by faith to claim the victory in Galatians 5 1 stand fast therefore in the Liberty wherewith Christ have made us free and Be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Entangled I think of a fishing reel as it gets tangled. Almost impossible to get it untangled. And if you use it several times like that, it'll be impossible but he says To go before God in Christ daily every day.
So that we won't become tangled and then in 12 he says let not. That means stop letting. The sin nature therefore To reign or be king to exercise kingly power present tense right now in Your mortal bodies that you should obey in the lust thereof in our mortal body.
That you should obey. John obey is present or past present. Don't right now don't do it right now in the lust thereof. Greg what does lust mean? Usually to desire that which is forbidden now. That's the way we use it, but Just lust by itself is to desire with an ordinate desire 13.
Neither yield Ye your members as instruments unto sin. But yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead to have true life and worthy of the Name and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Now Neither yield. Dennis give me the meaning of the word yield. All right, so it means allow what? To surrender to place a person or a thing at one's disposal. And it's present tense. Don't yield and that means right now.
John. Do we have to sin? Are you sure? You're sure of that. Well You can be. Because we don't have to sin don't let anybody fool you but here it is to yield Your members as Instruments. David what is an instrument?
All right unto sin nature. We're not to yield to sin nature. We don't have to. We don't want to. It's not written that we must so don't do it, but yield. Joy, the word yield means what? Yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead.
To have true life and worthy of the name worthy of the name of Your members as instruments of righteousness unto God so. What is your hand? Dennis. In this all right, and the hand does what I tell it to it doesn't tell me what to do.
Is that right? John. Do we have a choice to yield to the flesh or to God? All right. For a sin nature verse 14 shall not have dominion. For you are not under the law, but under grace for sin nature. Shall not have present tense.
Right now while I'm alive. It cannot control. While I was alive or while I'm going to be alive. But right now while I am alive. The sin nature shall not the word shall here means what David? There's no way that it can.
No way that you can get it to. It does not shall not will not ever have dominion over you again. Isn't that good to know? Now that doesn't say you won't sin. But it will not be in control anymore. For you are not under the law but under grace.
Remember you answered in the beginning that all of those not under grace are what. Under the law, I'm so glad I'm not under the law. How much better could we have it? What then? Shall we sin. Or honor the sin nature because we are not under the law but under grace.
Looks like David that be grounds for shouting, but God forbid. Know you not that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey His servants you are to whom you obey. Whether the sin nature unto death or of obedience unto righteousness.
Did you ever watch a sunflower as The Sun moves across the sky. It will move with it it keeps looking at the Sun and The next morning that comes up and it's looking to the east and it'll move across to the Sun and next morning the same thing.

God has ordained your salvation to be heard. Whether it's read or heard or spoken or whatever you you caught it from somebody else. But he did all of the work. He governed the delivering to you. He governs the salvation.
He got there and governs the placing of you into Jesus Christ. He governs you being raised. Who was it that raised Jesus Christ the father? And he raised you at the same time. We've been freed from being servants of sin.
Now that we're free from the bondage of sin and are under grace. Doesn't make sense to sin. Instead you can yield yourselves to God as his instruments for righteousness. Being then made free from the sin nature you be.
You became the servants. Is that all of Servants of righteousness now being then made free. This is a passive. It's made by somebody else not you. You were made free that means Somebody made you free.
Who was that? Dennis free from the sin nature. Ye became. Now became as present or past active or future. Active or passive you became the servants of righteousness one. What is a servant? The servant of righteousness.
What is a servant Greg? Alright. Could it be a deacon? All right. 19. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh. Now Paul puts in a personal note here. He says I'm talking to you like one man talking to another because of the infirmity of your flesh and The infirmity of your flesh means what David?
That's right. After the manner of men, I find that I must speak in terms that you understand. And you understand very little. Because you are yet so carnal. Whereas you have yielded your members servants to uncleanliness and to iniquity.
Unto iniquity even so now yield your members servants of righteousness unto holiness. Just as before. You sinned even without thinking about it. Now God wants you to yield yourself to him without thinking about it.
When you were the servants of sin. You were free from righteousness. Could you do any? Righteous act. When you were still a sinner David, I mean Dennis you could do no I righteous act. Could you then as a saved person Perform the same act.
With the same results. What I'm asking Is can two people or one person when he's lost he's a sinner. Can he perform an act and the outcome from it is unknown? Can he as a saved person perform exactly the same act and the outcome?
Be beneficial be but no be be righteous. I'll say that. All right, what makes the difference? All right, I Thank you. You've got a pretty good hold. We're told that We can bear fruit unto death we can bear fruit unto righteousness.
Can it be the same fruit David? But it could accomplish the same end. All right that pretty well covers it. You cannot judge by looking at somebody else joy. Yes, oh, you're. You're getting a little bit astray and your answer what you're saying is true.
But God doesn't use anything because it's here. He doesn't use things. You remember God said that all things work together for the good of those that Belong to me. Can't quote it all things work together for good.
He does only that that he counsels. And nothing else is done. So in order for that to be true, it has to be the same fruit the difference. The difference lies in your heart your reason for doing it. You'll do God's will known or unknown.
Now are you thoroughly confused? What fruit had you in those things where of you now are ashamed. In other words What fruit did you have when you were? When you were doing things That now you see they were wrong.
For the end of those things is death but now being made free from sin nature and Become servants doulos to God. You have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life. It can be exactly the same fruit but the first Worldly fruit that you were producing was for your end.
The second is for the end of others. For the wages of sin nature is death, but the gift of God's gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. This is the gift of gifts folks now the difference in gift and present.
I Know at Christmas time we all exchange gifts. I'm not trying to change that if you will understand that a gift can be given only By a person that has no need or ever will have a need of someone else.
That person is God. He's the only one that can give a gift. We exchange presents and I'm sure at Christmas time. We'll still continue to give gifts. But we use the word wrong, all right that closes out the sixth chapter.
Heard of a man that a scientist Wanted to have a contest and build another human. He says we can we've advanced to the state where we can do this. We can Make the heart the kidneys everything. And God said all right, go ahead and do it, but you have to make him out of dirt.
Well, that was all right. So he picked up a handful of dirt and he started and God said no. Don't do that. You go get your own dirt. So no matter how smart we think we are. God made us out of dirt his dirt.
