So, I've been called a lot of different names over the last year and a half, two years.

But the ones that stick with me the most are the ones by people that I otherwise would consider my friends and that I use to respect and things like that.

But I've had my motivations impugned many times. I've been called a hit blogger, I've been told that I do

James White style takedowns, I've been told that I'm a discernment blogger, that's a pejorative by the way, all these kinds of things, you know, that kind of thing.

And I gotta be honest with you, but if I do do that,

I learned it from the book of Jude because Jude was the original hit blogger, discernment blogger.

He was the original person doing the James White style takedowns because in his letter in the scripture, he eviscerates false teachers.

These are the words of God. Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, to those who are the called, loved by God the

Father and kept for Jesus Christ, may mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Dear friends, although I was eager to write you about the salvation that we share, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was delivered to the saints once for all.

For some people who were designated for this judgment long ago have come in by stealth.

They are ungodly, turning the grace of our God into sensuality and denying

Jesus Christ our only master and Lord. Now I want to remind you, although you came to know all these things once and for all that Jesus saved a people out of Egypt and later destroyed those who did not believe and the angels who did not keep their own position but abandoned their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains in deep darkness for the judgment on the great day.

Likewise Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns committed sexual immorality and perversions and serve as an example by undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

In the same way, these people, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority and slander glorious ones.

Yet when Michael the archangel was disputing with the devil in an argument about Moses' body, he did not dare utter a slanderous condemnation against him but said,

The Lord rebuke you. But these people blaspheme anything that they do not understand.

And what they do understand by instinct, like irrational animals, by these things they are destroyed.

Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, have plunged into Balaam's era for profit and have perished in Korah's rebellion.

These people are dangerous reefs at your love's feast as they eat with you without reverence.

They are shepherds who only look after themselves. They are waterless clouds carried along by winds, trees in late autumn, fruitless, twice dead and uprooted.

They are wild waves of the sea foaming up their shameful deeds, wandering stars for whom the blackness of darkness is reserved forever.

It was about these that Enoch and the seventh generation from Adam prophesied. Look, the Lord comes with tens of thousands of his holy ones to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly concerning the ungodly acts they have done in an ungodly way and concerning all the harsh things ungodly sinners have said against him.

These people are discontented grumblers, living according to their desires, their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering people for their own advantage.

But you, dear friends, remember what was predicted by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

They told you in the end times there will be scoffers living according to their ungodly desires, their own ungodly desires.

These people create divisions and are worldly, not having the spirit.

But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the

Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting expectantly for the mercy of our

Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life. Have mercy on those who waver. Save others by snatching them from the fire.

Have mercy on others, but with fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

Jude owned those guys. And he said, in the beginning, if you catch that, he said,

I was going to write to you about the salvation that we share, but you know what? In this letter, I'm not going to talk to you about that.

I'm going to focus on this other thing. Man, he eviscerates those guys.

I mean, do you hear that language? Like, don't, like, I like you to take a step back. I mean, you read

Jude. You can read it a bunch of times, even today. Read Jude and kind of, I want you to feel the weight of those words because we read some of these words and we're like, oh, woe to them.

And that's, you know, he's not happy with them. No, like, woe to them is like, that's stronger than any language that I've ever used.

Let's put it that way. Stronger than any language I've ever used in any of my videos. But man, do you hear that?

Some of this stuff? Discontented grumblers, scoffers living out their own ungodly desires, creating divisions and being worldly, not having the spirit.

Like, man, these are people that were in the assembly. They were at the love feast.

They were eating and they were arrogant. They had no fear of any kind of condemnation. They had no fear of any kind of discipline.

They were arrogantly eating at the love feast. And Jude took an entire letter where he was going to write to them about the salvation of our

Lord, which is what we'd all agree, utmost importance, right? He was going to write a letter about that.

But he saw a problem. He saw a problem. And instead, he changed what he was going to write this letter about.

And he was doing a little bit of discernment blogging. And I'm sure he had the people at his time, well,

Jude, you've got to watch your tone. You know, Jude, that wasn't very nice. You know, we need to maybe soften our speech a little bit.

Yeah, you know what? There is time for that because he even says that in this letter. I want you to hear this one. I think I've talked about this before.

Hear this one. Look at it. You, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the

And look at what he says to do with others. He says, have mercy on those who waver. Okay? People wavering, have mercy on them.

He says, save others by snatching them from the fire. In my mind, that's a little bit more aggressive, right?

Mercy on those who waver. Save others by snatching them from the fire. And have mercy on others, but with fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

Jude had it right here. This is some good stuff. I'm going to be thinking about this book for a while.
