- So, I have a big question. Who is God? If you want to know who

- God is, the best place to start is in His Word. The Bible is filled with stories and letters and explanations, all kinds of information to help us understand who

- God is and what He's like. You mean, how He thinks, what He likes, and about all the amazing things

- He's done. Right. So, let's start at the beginning. The first words in the

- Bible are, So, God is a creator.

- What did He create? Well, everything. And He did it just by speaking.

- Genesis 1, verse 2 and 3 says, There was darkness over the surface of the waves.

- At that time, the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. God said,

- And there was light. Okay, so, God is the creator of everything, even us.

- God is also powerful and eternal. I've heard that word eternal before. What does it mean?

- It means that God has always existed and He always will. He had no beginning and He has no end.

- Revelation 11, verse 17 says, So, before there was anything else,

- God was there. Right. And because He is all -powerful, He can do anything. Like make the earth and all of the galaxies in space with His words.

- Exactly. And because God created everything, He is the one who has all the answers about life and the world and, well, everything.

- Okay, so God is the creator of all things. He is eternal, He is all -powerful, and He is in charge of everything.

- There is something else that is very important to understand about God. Exodus 34, verse 6 and 7 says,

- I am slow to get angry. I am faithful and full of love. I continue to show my love to thousands of people.

- I forgive those who do evil. I forgive those who refuse to obey. Like how

- Jesus came to earth to live a sinless life and then die for sinners, so everyone who believes in Him can be forgiven.

- In fact, Jesus' sacrifice shows just how much God loves us. He is perfect and we are not.

- Which means He is the only one who can heal us from all the sin and evil that has infected the good world

- He made. So God is the creator of all things. He is eternal, He is all -powerful,

- He is in charge of everything, and He is gentle and merciful, and He loves me.

- That is a lot. Which is why God is the only one who can be
