I mean, heaven forbid we actually use biblical terminology in our preaching. We wouldn't want to do that. So Joel and I, we may not use the word repentance, but we're, trust us, we're still teaching people to repent when they go from thinking negatively to thinking positively.

That's not repentance. According to his definition of repentance, we could all repent simply by joining the

Optimist Club. You know, just having a sunnier outlook on life. Everything's just sunshine and lollipops and unicorns all the time.

God grants repentance. And when God grants repentance, yes, our minds are changed, but everything about us is changed.

What he's saying is that those people who actually care about the real gospel, who care about sound doctrine, who have a love for good theology, you know, who rightly divide the word of truth and warn people about the appeal to fallen human desires.

They're Pharisees. But no, the people to whom he's referring that put up the signposts, these warnings about the appeal to health and wealth are actually the remnant of God's faithful people who care about sound doctrine and who want to teach people the truth.

Joyce Meyer, president of Joyce Meyer Ministries, teaches the prosperity gospel and doesn't feel bad about it at all.

And so in desperation, they get out their checkbook or they get out their credit card and they send in money to these multimillionaire preachers who fly in private jets.

But when your wealth is gained off of preying upon the hopes and fears of hurting and sick and desperate people, there's a lot wrong with that.

And Meyer twists scripture to support her unbiblical teachings. Third John 2 says, beloved,

So we see right there that God wants us to be healthy. Can everybody say God wants me to be healthy? This is not a theological statement.

And that is just one of I could literally give you hundreds of examples of word faith teachers saying that God needs us is pretty standard word faith theology.

And Furtick endorses and promotes other pastors who teach numerous heresies, most notably

T .D. Jakes. That Stephen Furtick is now for all intents and purposes, word faith. Stephen Furtick has been hanging out and partnering with and endorsing known word faith false teachers.

And we can begin by looking at who Stephen Furtick openly says is his model preacher, the man to whom he looks up more than any other man.

Any other person, any other preacher, his model in ministry is T .D. Jakes, the pastor of Potter's House Church in Dallas, Texas.

When you're in a closed environment with emotionally charged music and everybody's kind of, they're singing, they're all of, of thinking about the same thing.
