Gentiles should hit really close to home for us it should also energize our evangelism when we think about the people outside of the church who are in need of the gospel

I want to try to unfold and show you a little bit so let's go to Acts 10 first Acts chapter 10 and what's going to be striking about this is

Greek all of these words are essentially the same joint heirs a joint body joint partakers those who were very far off think about all those pagan nations that warred against Israel now those people are being brought into the kingdom of God the promise given to Abraham on him all the nations all the families of the earth would be blessed these things are coming to fruition the gospel of Jesus Christ will go to the ends of the earth and even so today for us we should never think that someone is too far gone to hear the preaching of Jesus Christ in him crucified in Ephesians 2 1 through 10 there is kind of a establishment of the doctrine says you were formerly dead and you've been made alive you used to walk according to the course of this world and it's true for you how many of you used to walk according to the course of this world you were dead in your trespasses but you have been made alive you used to walk according to the course of the world according to the prince of the power of the air the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lust of our flesh fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind were by nature children of wrath just as the others but God who is rich in mercy because of his great love with which he loved us his famous words even when we were dead in trespasses made us alive together with Christ we can say hallelujah by grace you have been saved and raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us in Christ for by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works lest anyone should boast for we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which
