- This is Andy Cain. It's a joy to be back with you once again. Today we are looking at Psalm 119 verse 18.

- It says, Open my eyes that I may behold wonderful things from your law.

- Wonderful things from your law. I just love that the consistent theme of this psalm is the love of God's word, the wanting or the desire to know

- God's word, to consume it, digest it, apply it, see it become rich in one's life.

- And he says, I want my eyes opened. Not that I can see something that's not you,

- Lord, but so that I can see you, Lord. Open my eyes that I may behold wonderful things from your law.

- That should be the desire of every Christian that we would have our eyes opened to see and understand and apply the wonderful and beautiful things from the word of God.

- The word of God is what we have to teach us about God, to teach us about who he is, to teach us about ourselves.

- And we should want to learn it, behold it, understand it, and truly gain a deeper understanding of our savior.

- So what is your prayer today? Is it that you will have your eyes open? Now you're going to have to take time to read, to study, to listen to preaching, good, consistent biblical exegesis of the text.

- Learn how to study it yourself. That's why we need to make sure in our churches that we're teaching Bible basics and things like that.

- But is that your prayer that your eyes will be open to see wonderful things from the law and word of God?
