All of this is just the tip of the iceberg. There's also Todd White who performs an obvious and known leg lengthening scam in the name of Jesus Christ.

But it gets even worse than this. Take a look at this unbelievable video that Shepard Bushiri posted, which is basically a very bad magic trick intended to trick his audience into thinking it is actually a miracle.

It seems absolutely obvious that the reason why the video zooms in before Shepard Bushiri starts quote -unquote floating is to hide the fact that there are other people holding him up who are outside the camera's frame during this time.

This video would be very funny if we didn't know that there are countless people who have been deceived into thinking that Shepard Bushiri actually has power from God to perform miracles.

And it doesn't end here. No, not even close. Here's another scam that many supposed faith healers like Benny Hinn and Todd Bentley perform, which has also been exported to numerous supposed pastors in Africa also.

There's also Kat Kerr who claims to have visited heaven thousands of times.

Heaven, for anyone that's new, Kat's been to heaven along with a lot of other people, even ones that I know personally have had visited heaven.

You've had hundreds or thousands of times. Thousands of times. Kat Kerr goes to heaven with more regularity than you and I would go to the bathroom.

There are millions of people who claim to believe in Jesus, who use his name, who call him

Lord, who say they believe in him, expecting heaven only to receive hell. Our Lord saw this at the beginning of his ministry.

These people may be very passionate about Jesus and what they think Jesus does for them. But the version of Jesus they believe in is so far off from the true biblical

Jesus that it would not even be accurate to say they truly believe in the Jesus of the Bible.

So first and foremost, it's important that we get the gospel right because if we don't, there are people out there, including ourselves, who will be duped into believing that they are right with God when in fact they are at enmity with him.

You believe the wrong gospel, it doesn't matter how sincere you are in your belief. You are merely sincerely wrong.

Many will think this sounds very harsh and unloving to say, but Jesus himself taught that many will call him

Lord, Lord, yet will be cast into hell. The reason for this is that the true gospel involves acknowledging and repenting of sin, trusting in Jesus's atoning work alone for their salvation, and living lives obedient and submissive to all that God has revealed.

But countless professing Christians teach and believe that the gospel is primarily about receiving blessings from God.

Why is there so little power today? Because we don't know the gospel, because we don't concern ourselves with true conversion, because we don't make the important things important, but we replace it with the proper use of media in the service, with the right kind of singing to alter the mood, with flashy speakers who tell us everything we want to hear so that we can have our best life now because that is indeed what we want more than God.

There is no power because the gospel is lost. You bring the gospel back and you'll see the power of God move upon the lives of men, women, and children.

The simple gospel. People who are part of this kind of radical charismatic movement believe they must be right because of the enormous number of people who believe in this kind of theology.

But the truth is that just because a movement is very popular and draws enormous numbers does not at all mean that it is biblical or correct.

Bible, it can be easy to be intimidated by popular pastors with enormous audiences who dilute, distort, or compromise on the gospel in order to reach a broader audience and who tout their numbers.

You can throw the name of Jesus around all you want. You can sing it 50 times in one song.

Jesus must have had in mind in the future, including today, they think the proof that they are his is in their prophecies, their exorcisms, and their miracles.

They're in the middle of the experience. But when they show up on that day, verse 22 says, when they show up on that day, that day of final judgment,

It's about what you practice. It's not about these kinds of experiences that can be falsely induced.

Literally in the Greek, he says, I have never known you. Never. So Christians, let's not be tempted by the flashiness and the popularity of these radical charismatic preachers.

But rather, let's make sure we understand, believe, and proclaim the true, simple gospel that God has revealed in scripture.

And let's make sure we don't add anything to it in order to attract larger numbers.

Let's go forward and not primarily to defend the gospel, but to do what some of us have done now for decades, proclaim the gospel and then stand to one side and admire as the gospel of Jesus Christ defends itself and proves its power.

But the gospel we preach must not be adorned with eloquence. It must not be adorned with your intellect.

The raw gospel, the real gospel, the gospel of the cross, the gospel of blood, the gospel of vicarious suffering.

If we will proclaim it, we will see the glory of God. We will see the glory of God. But remember this to the degree that you trust in the arm of the flesh, you will see less of this power of which
