This is a ministry of striving for Eternity. The book of Micah, Micah was written somewhere around 720
00:22
B .C. And when you look at Micah, there's actually three messages, three different distinct messages that we see, and each one of them, the exhortations for each one start with the word to hear or to listen.
00:40
The first message starts in chapter 1 and 2, and it is the judgment will come.
00:48
That's right. There's no way to avoid it. There is a prophecy, a prediction of a coming judgment.
00:56
And we end up seeing the second message, and the second message is in chapters 3 -5, and the second message is blessings that are going to follow the judgment.
01:07
So we're going to move from the judgment to hope. So there's going to be blessings that will follow.
01:14
That is encouraging to know there's going to be hope. And then there is a third message in chapters 6 and 7, and that third message is an indictment of sin.
01:25
It's a promise of blessing. So you end up seeing that sin is indicted and there will be a future blessing.
01:33
So we see that as one way of looking at it is we have the judgment to doom to hope.
01:41
And that is the theme of the book of Micah. So we can enjoy the fact that we know that there will be a future blessing for God's people.
