Now, Brandon is a so -called pastor who holds to progressive Christianity, which is, of course, not any form of real

Christianity at all. In the following clip, Brandon is going to explain why he believes many traditional

Christians, like you and me, are actually heretics. Watch this. So let's go ahead and dive into Brandon's arguments here and debunk them using

Scripture. His first point is that those conservative Christians who get all up in arms about using feminine pronouns like she and her for God are actually heretics.

Now, a heresy is an idea or concept that does not accord with Orthodox teaching.

Of course, the issue here is that Brandon himself is a heretic, and therefore does not hold to Biblical Orthodoxy in the first place.

Unfortunately, this means that in his framework, anyone who disagrees with his, frankly, nonsensical version of progressive

Orthodoxy is actually heretical. In other words, he's using the age -old trick of accusing his opponents of doing the very thing that he himself is doing.

His use of the word heretic, then, is unbiblical and not rooted in any kind of historic Christian Orthodoxy, so we really don't need to worry about it.

But beyond this, let's revisit his argument. He effectively says that God can be referred to with feminine pronouns because the

Spirit of God has always been quote, gender -neutral. And the concept of gender -neutrality is fairly self -explanatory.

If someone is gender -neutral, it means that they exist in a somewhat genderless state. They are not masculine or feminine in any perceivable way, they are something different entirely.

They're neutral when it comes to gender, hence the name gender -neutral. Now, I want to be clear. When I say that the

Holy Spirit of God is referred to with masculine terms, or that he is not, in the sense that Brandon means it, gender -neutral,

says that quote, God is Spirit, and in that sense, he cannot be referred to as any kind of man.

As our Creator, he transcends physical gender. The only person of the Trinity who can be called a man in a physical, literal sense is

Jesus Christ. Colossians 2 .9 says quote, for in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, end quote.

Jesus is a man, but the Holy Spirit is not, he's Spirit. And yet, we ought to refer to the

Spirit of God using masculine pronouns, just like we do for God the Father. This is the argument

Again, I do not mean that the Spirit is man, I strictly mean that we ought to refer to the

Spirit using masculine pronouns. But thankfully, there is a very easy way to demonstrate how untrue

Holy Spirit is referred to using directly masculine pronouns. If that ever happens in Scripture, then by definition, the

Jesus says this quote, but the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,

Holy Spirit is consistently referred to as He. Again, the Holy Spirit is not a man like Jesus, yet the

Spirit is still a person, He's personal. The Spirit is not a thing or an impersonal force in the ether.

John 16 .13 says this quote, when the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you in all the truth, for He will not speak of His own authority, but whatever

He hears, He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come, end quote. Not only does this passage, again, use masculine pronouns for the

Spirit, but it also says that the Spirit guides believers. The Spirit speaks and inspires the

Word of God. He brings things to our remembrance as He wills. The Spirit is a person, and therefore we speak of Him and to Him using personal terms.

And of course, those terms biblically are always supposed to be masculine. If you call

God a she, you are successfully spreading progressive propaganda, but you are not actually doing anything resembling biblical

Christianity. Thus, the Bible clearly demonstrates that Brandon Robertson's claims in that video are absolute nonsense.

They lack any kind of biblical or logical foundation. And this shows us even more fully how deceitful and bankrupt progressive
