Dead Men Walking {Mini Episode} responding to Todd Bentley and his Magnificent Man Company

Hello everyone! Welcome to a Dead Men Walking Mini, where we take just maybe 15 -20 minutes and we go through and talk about things that are happening in the body of Christ and Christianity as a whole.

I'll release these during the normal weekly episodes and it's just kind of a quick glance or look at, like I said, things happening in Christianity.

So today I want to set this up, okay? We're going to be listening to a clip that was released a few weeks ago from Todd Bentley.

And Todd Bentley is someone who has been just an absolute disaster to the body of Christ.

And it was someone who I had actually been really putting in the limelight before his

Lakeland downfall in 2008 and 2009. When I first got on Facebook in early 2007, just a few months after Facebook allowed the public to have a

Facebook account, one of my very first posts in the beginning of 2007 was about Todd Bentley. He hadn't had his revival yet.

He hadn't been doing any of the things that made him famous for that revival. But I'd looked him up online and he was, you know, preaching in front of 50 and 100 people, churches, punching people, slapping them in the face, pushing them down, telling people that Jesus physically visited him and told him to do certain things, which are of course heretical.

So before this even went down, I was kind of sounding the siren of, hey, be careful this guy, because he's picking up steam.

He's aligning himself with Bethel church and Bill Johnson. He's calling himself an apostle and he's really getting in into some wayward theology.

So that's, I've been doing this well since 2007. So now we're going on 12 years and the

Todd Bentley saga still continues and it just keeps getting more bizarre, more sad. And frankly, if you love the character of God, you love your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and you don't want to see the name of God impugned or blasphemed, it's very infuriating to see this still going on.

But I wanted you to listen to this clip. Todd Bentley put out a live Facebook post about his new company about a week ago and how he's transitioning into a different company.

So we're going to take a listen to this audio and then I'll respond to it as we play through it.

So let's start. I'm here talking about my new passion project, my new kingdom venture, my startup.

I got a little bit more time here as I've been taking a little extra time to pray, be around my...

Yeah, you got a little more time because you were busy sexually assaulting people, getting drunk, having affairs, offering cash to people for sexual favors, both men and women.

And the church has thoroughly rebuked you. You've burned every bridge of just about every major evangelical pastor.

So yeah, you do have a little extra time now. ...family, build the home front, the church.

We have a lot going on here at the Sacred Place Church, Fresh Fire Ministry. And by the way, does anyone else find it a little funny that a man who hid his sexual sin for 15 years and pursued underage women and men and who offered money to them for that, who was secretly getting drunk, who was secretly preaching against biblical doctrine, is now calling his new ministry the

Sacred Place? I don't know. It's a little strange, but let's continue. And I'm taking a little bit of a less lighter kind of a speaker itinerant schedule but I'm continuing to do all the other stuff that we love, you know,

Fresh Fire Ministries and Sacred Place Church. And I made the big announcement already, Revival Harvest America 2020, taking 50 evangelists to Sturgis.

Okay, now I want you to notice the doublespeak because Todd Bentley is absolutely beautiful at doublespeaking.

He says, I'm taking time off, I'm stepping away, and then he launches right into, oh, by the way, I have this whole new where we're going to take 50 evangelists out to Sturgis.

I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but with someone who struggles with so much sexual sin and so much hidden sin,

I don't know if going to a biker rally at Sturgis is really the best place for you to minister,

Todd, to really get back into your ministry in Sturgis. Now, I have nothing against someone who wants to minister in a bar or a secular place because there are many

Christians who are in the world but not of the world, but maybe not the best place for you,

The Magnificent Man Company team. He's starting a new company. What's he selling, you ask?

Oh, you're going to love it. Listen. Magnificent Man Company. What is it? I've been talking about it.

You've been seeing stuff on social media. It's not just a beard company. It's not just about beard oils.

Oh my gosh. He's selling oil. He went from a figurative snake oil salesman to a literal snake oil salesman.

You can't make this up, you guys. He's selling beard oil, shampoo, and why don't you just put a top hat and a cane on you and sell elixir in the name of God?

This is absolutely ridiculous, but I digress. Let's continue. Something that's been in my heart for these years that I see as being a real tool to get into the marketplace where, as an evangelist or having an evangelistic anointing, you want to be able to get outside of the limitation of events, conferences, and the four walls of the church and be where the people are.

Okay. So let me interpret that for you. When he says, I have an evangelistic calling and I need to get into the marketplace, this is what he's saying.

I'm a shyster. I'm a salesman. I pulled the wool over the face of Christians and now

I'm going to do it to the secular world because I've burned all my bridges in the church and now

I'm going to take my salesmanship skills. When I was punching people and kicking them and telling them

Jesus visited me and getting drunk and speaking in tongues and laying hands on people and not healing anyone and doing all those things, tricking you and making money off of it,

I can no longer do that. So I'm going to take my evangelistic ability, which literally just means

I can sell something. I can sell a miracle. I can sell beard oil. I can sell a card to you and I'm going to put it into the secular world, but I'm still going to have one foot in both places.

Listen how he positions this. God's given me a strategic strategy where I can continue to do all the stuff.

Strategic strategy. Strategery. Sounds like George W. Bush on Saturday Night Live when Will Ferrell used to do them.

Strategery. My strategic strategy. ...ministry, but I can also expand my reach in addition to believing for Deuteronomy 818.

This is a promise for many of us that may have not just one, but maybe you have two or three streams of income and you're not just limited to the kind of one thing.

As an itinerant kind of ministry full -time, I'm not just limited to wanting to fleece the church or charge for...

Did he just say he's not limited to fleecing the church? Todd, thank you for finally being honest.

I got to give him that much. For as much as a heretic you are and a blasphemer, at least now you're being honest.

You can't fleece the church anymore. You've burned those bridges. No one wants you. Even your friend

Bill Johnson is kind of looking at you sideways. Man, he laid hands on you and called you an apostle with a capital

A. He ranked you right up there with Peter. He ranked you right up there with John and James and Matthew.

And even he's saying, I don't know, Todd. This is a little too much for me. ...events and conferences, okay, and do the same old circuit.

Listen, the great harvest is coming. We're talking about the greater glory of the harvest. What can we do to be able to see no limit in the money that we make that can be able to help us fund the gospel?

Oh, what can we do to see no limit in the money we make to fund the gospel?

Keep that in the back of your mind. It's going to come in towards the end of the video. To fund the gospel. Some of our own missions and crusades rather than depending upon networks and honorariums and some of the stuff that goes on in the charismatic church.

All those silly things that go on in the charismatic church that I was doing just up until a year and a half ago before I got busted for everything that I was doing.

He laughs at it. He laughs. All those silly things those charismatics do. What are you talking about,

Todd? Up until a year ago, you were still fleecing the church. You were still taking money from people who couldn't afford it.

You were still perpetrating fraud. You were still faking miracles. You were still preaching heresy.

But now that you can't do it anymore, too good for you? You can't do it? So we shift gears as a good shyster does, as a good con man does.

You shift gears. Let's hear some more. Really about money, it's politics. I want to not be limited.

So as my wife and I continue to transition here and take a little extra time to get filled up and healed up and get a little fresh vision and pray every day and be with my family and just take a little break.

Wow. That's like 10 power phrases right in a row just to make you seem godly.

Boy, he said all the right things, doesn't he? But you want to know what? I'm not really concerned about what men say. I want to know what men do.

About to launch a new, make a big splash into the health and beauty industry with some not just man care and grooming products.

It's going to be lifestyle for me. It's not just a business nine to five. Anything that I do, ministry, preaching as a public figure, influencer,

I have to be 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The word is what? Lifestyle. Oh my gosh.

This guy isn't even original when it comes to a business. He's saying all the keywords that a life coach or that an entrepreneurial coach or that a business coach would say, oh, it's all about lifestyle.

I'm going to get out there on the social media and we're going to start a lifestyle and an influencer and a coach.

This is the same junk that these mid to low level business coaches charge you thousands of dollars just to give you keywords.

And even his presentation in this secular business, which he said it was a kingdom business, but we'll see, is not even original.

I mean, when he was fleecing the church, he was ripping off an old heretical theology.

And now when he's in the world, he's just ripping off secular business coaches and motivators and influencers.

Lifestyle, it doesn't work. Somebody said to me one time, Todd, you're an evangelist. You sell ice to Eskimos. I can sell ice to Eskimos as a preacher,

Christian and shepherd. Yes, because that's the most important quality you should have is to sell someone their salvation, to convince them of who

God is. This is why the evangelical church is hurting so bad right now because of this garbage that this man is talking about.

Yeah. But if you don't do your passion, stop. If it's not your passion. And so I've got a little bit more time now.

I wonder why you have a little bit more time, Todd. Is it maybe forced? Circumstances to be able to rebrand and really come out with one of my passion projects to be able to get into the secular marketplace and be able to reach people that love beards and music and tattoos and peers.

Wait a minute. You're trying to reach people with beards and tattoos and music. I thought you were trying to reach people to give them the gospel.

That's what you said just three and a half minutes ago. The whole generation of them, you think they're just millennials and hipsters.

And I've got events booked already. In addition to biker conventions like Sturges, I'm looking at other marketplace events where I can get out with the vendors table and have my line of products, which

I'm about. Oh my gosh. I do know in the back of his head for a man who is so prideful, this just has to be so humiliating.

This man was standing up in front of 30 ,000 people with the accolades of almost every

Pentecostal leader, just praising his name. Millions of people watching

God TV just a decade ago. And now he's saying I'm releasing a company and we're going to go get a vendor table at a tent so we can sell beard oil and shampoo.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I think Proverbs says something about that, about ill gotten gain and the wicked will always find their destruction.

I buy anything from you, but I'm working on my Instagram, Facebook, a magnificent man.

My wife just eventually managing my daily Facebook, a magnificent man, uh, business. It's a secular business.

You can keep all your, well, wait a minute. It's a secular business. I thought you said this was for the kingdom.

It's for reaching people for the gospel. But listen to this very last 10 seconds here. This is the best part guys.

Listen, Jesus trolling negative comments, you know, uh, to churchy, you know, religious, you know, stuff.

It's not for the purpose of reaching the church. It is a business. Oh my goodness. It is a business.

Keep all those two religious, two churchy, two Jesus, Jesusy comments off my page.

This isn't for the gospel. This isn't for the kingdom. This is a secular business where I'm trying to make money because I've come accustomed to a certain style of living and now

I can't fleece the church anymore. So now I have to fleece you with my beard oil and beard shampoo.

So there you have it folks. Todd Bentley has now moved from evangelist and apostle with capital a, and I'm saying that with finger quotes because when he was anointed by Rick Joyner and when he was commissioned by Bill Johnson of Bethel and they laid his hands on him and said he was now an apostle capital a in the new apostolic reformation that puts them on par with the writers of the new

Testament. They said, go, go forth. And he was making that money and he had had those accolades and had that position.

And they knew at the time when they were laying their hands on him, that he was having issues with drinking and extramarital affairs.

Now he has none of that. So now I have to shift gears and I have to do what

I always could do in the secular world, which was become a snake oils salesman. So I just wanted to bring that to your attention.

This is 12 years later. I hope that there's not one believing Christian that puts any stock in what this man says.

He's a charlatan. He's a heretic. He blasphemes the name of God. It makes me righteously indignant.

If you hear a tone of indignation or disgust while I talk about this, it's because the

God I serve, I do not want him blasphemed in anything I do. He does or anyone else that professes the name of Christ and then walks out the door and does not rightly represent the character of God.

It's disgusting and it should be called out. Well, you can search the video online if you want to take the whole thing. I cut it about 40 seconds into it, but that's about it.
