Welcome to the Teaching Ministry of Kungsvinger Lutheran Church. Kungsvinger is a beacon for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is located on the plains of northwestern
00:18
Minnesota. We proclaim Christ and Him crucified for our sins and salvation by grace through faith alone.
00:25
And now, here's a message from Pastor Chris Roseberg. The Holy Gospel according to St.
00:31
Luke, chapter 4, verses 1 -13. And Jesus, full of the
00:37
Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil.
00:46
He ate nothing during those days, and when they were ended, he was hungry. The devil said to him,
00:54
If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread. And Jesus answered him,
01:00
It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone. So the devil took him up, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, and said to him,
01:08
To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom
01:15
I will. If you then will worship me, it will all be yours.
01:21
And Jesus answered him, It is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.
01:28
So he took him to Jerusalem, set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, If you are the
01:34
Son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it is written, He will command His angels concerning you to guard you.
01:40
And on their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. Jesus answered him,
01:46
It is said, You shall not put the Lord your God to the test. And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time.
01:56
In the name of Jesus. So what do you think about God? What do you think about Him?
02:02
Do you think He's kind, loving? Do you think He's vindictive?
02:08
Do you think He's out to get you? Do you worry about thinking about standing before Him on the day of judgment?
02:19
Do you believe Him when He says that you are forgiven? Do you believe
02:26
His word? Or do you doubt His word and think, well, maybe God is up to no good.
02:33
I better hedge my bets. There's a story they tell in the history books about when the gospel first came to regions like Norway.
02:43
They worshiped the Norse gods, right? Thor and Odin, right?
02:49
Well, the first generation of those who were Christians, discipled in the name of Jesus Christ and taught the saving gospel, they weren't exactly sure if Jesus really was
03:01
God or not, or if really they could be forgiven. And so they hedged their bets. And to this day you can find gravestones from that period there in Norway, where on the one side you have the person describing their belief and faith in Christ, but on the other side of the gravestone you have a little prayer to Thor or to Odin.
03:22
They were hedging their bets, right? Are you hedging your bets? You're thinking, well, you know, the salvation by grace thing.
03:31
Sounds a little too good to be true. So I better make sure that I've racked up some brownie points with God so that if Jesus' death on the cross doesn't quite cover everything, well, then
03:44
I can put my good works forward and we can make up the difference. All right? What do you think?
03:52
Do you think God is true? Do you believe him? Or do you doubt his word?
04:00
Well, that's what our text is about today. It's a temptation of Christ.
04:05
What was he being tempted to do? Well, in order to answer that question, we're going to have to take a look at context.
04:16
We're going to have to take a look at the immediate context in the chapter before, and we're also going to have to spend a little bit of time in the
04:23
Old Testament. So if you would grab your pew Bible, you can follow along. We're going to be in Luke 3.
04:30
I'm going to start at verse 15, and we're going to look at the immediate context. And if you want to look ahead to where we're going to go in the
04:38
Old Testament context, you can put a finger in the book of Numbers, chapter 13, starting at verse 1.
04:46
So if you want to look ahead, you can. All right, so here's our immediate context. And this is the story and the account of the baptism of Jesus.
04:54
I'll start at verse 15 in chapter 3. As the people were in expectation and all were questioning in their hearts concerning John whether he might be the
05:03
Christ. You could say the Messiah, because Christos and Messiah, they mean the same thing.
05:08
That means the anointed one. Thinking that he might be the Christ, but John answered them all saying,
05:13
I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals
05:18
I am not worthy to untie. He, Jesus, is going to baptize you with the
05:24
Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn.
05:31
But the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire. So with many other exhortations, he preached good news to the people.
05:40
But Herod the Tetrarch, who had been reproved by him for Herod Dias, his brother's wife, and for all the evil things that Herod had done, added this to them all.
05:51
He locked up John in prison. Oh, look at that. What kind of man of God would tell a politician that he's sinful?
06:01
Sorry. That's a different sermon. I'll have to save that one for later. Now, when all were baptized, all the people were baptized, and when
06:10
Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, now listen to this, the heavens were opened, the
06:16
Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven.
06:24
Here's the word of God. You are my beloved Son. With you
06:29
I am well pleased. That is the last verse before the beginning of our
06:36
Gospel text this morning. And our Gospel text then begins with these words, And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the
06:43
Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for 40 days. Hugely important number, signaling something going on here, has something to do with the
06:51
Old Testament. And being tempted by the devil, he ate nothing during those days, and when they were ended, he was hungry.
06:59
And the devil said to him, here are the words, If you are the Son of God, you can almost see the devil kind of talking like this,
07:10
Hey, Jesus, you know, I know you heard that voice from heaven, and I know that voice said, You're the
07:15
Son of God, but do you really think that voice was telling you the truth? You might want to check this out, Jesus. You might want to see if that's really the case.
07:22
I mean, because that's kind of a big title, you know, Son of God, who do you think you are, the Messiah or something? So, you know, if you are the
07:29
Son of God, and I'm not saying that you're not, Jesus, everybody knows you've got to be the Son of God, but I'm just saying, you might have some doubts in your mind,
07:35
Jesus, about that word that you heard from God. So, if you are the Son of God, and I know how hungry you are, command this stone to become bread.
07:45
What's the devil doing? He's attacking the Word of God.
07:52
I've said it before, I'll say it again, the devil is a one -trick pony. He does the same thing every time.
07:59
He is predictable. First attack against our parents, Adam and Eve, in the
08:05
Garden of Eden. What were the words out of his mouth? Did God really say, you shall not eat from any tree in the garden?
08:12
Did God really say? He's going right after the Word of God. That's what he does.
08:19
He goes right after it. Gets you to doubt it. Gets you to think, well, maybe
08:26
God's a liar. Maybe God, well, he says things he doesn't mean.
08:33
Maybe God really is out to get us. Maybe God's holding out on us.
08:42
Who's the liar, though? Jesus says that when the devil speaks, he's lying, because lying is his native tongue.
08:51
Some of you know how to speak Norwegian. Others of you, English. Some of you might know some other languages.
08:57
The devil, he speaks lies. That's his native language, right? So he's coming after Jesus in the wilderness, tempting him in the exact same way that Adam and Eve were tempted.
09:09
And that didn't go so well for Adam and Eve. But also we see that Jesus is in the wilderness.
09:17
Forty days. There was another time in which Israel was in the wilderness, being tempted to doubt
09:26
God's Word. And they did not pass the temptation.
09:31
I think it's important for us to take a look back. Now we're in Numbers 13. Numbers 13, verse 1.
09:37
I want you to see the connection here. Here, Jesus is Israel, squished down into one person, being tempted in the same way that Israel was tempted in the wilderness.
09:48
Here's what it says in Numbers 13, verse 1. The Lord, Yahweh, spoke to Moses, saying,
09:55
Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel.
10:01
From each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, everyone a chief among them.
10:07
So Moses sent them from the wilderness of Paran according to the command of the
10:13
Lord. Now I want you to look back at verse 1. Spy out the land of Canaan.
10:18
And here are the important words. Which I am giving to the people of Israel.
10:28
Giving. It's a gift. God's intention for Israel is good.
10:37
His love for them and His promises are irrevocable. He has promised them to give the land of Israel.
10:46
This is the word of God. So now the question is, will Israel believe that God is going to give them the promised land, or are they not?
10:59
Yes or no? It's really that simple. So we've got the story of the twelve spies. And you all know how the song goes, right?
11:06
Twelve men went to spy on Canaan. Ten were bad and two were good. What did they see when they spied on Canaan? Ten were bad and two were good.
11:12
Some saw giants big and tall. Some saw grapes in clusters fall. Some saw God rule over all.
11:19
Ten were bad and two were good. You know that song? Do they teach that here in Sunday school?
11:24
Alright, we'll have to fix that. Have you all singing that before you know it. But it's an important thing.
11:33
The ten of these spies, they did not believe God when
11:39
God said, I'm going to give. And watch what happens. So they're in the wilderness. This is a temptation.
11:45
We'll start now at verse 17. I won't read the roll call of the elders who go on the spy mission.
11:50
But note that Joshua and Caleb are on the mission as well. Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan and said to them,
11:58
Go up into the Negev. Go up into the hill country and see what the land is. Whether the people who dwell in it are strong or weak.
12:07
Whether they are few or many. Whether the land they dwell in is good or bad.
12:13
And whether the cities that they dwell in are camps or strongholds. And whether the land is rich or poor.
12:19
And whether there are trees in it or not. Be of good courage. Bring some of the fruit of the land.
12:24
Now the time was the season of the first ripe grapes. So they went out.
12:31
And they spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob near Lebo Hamath.
12:37
They went up into the Negev and came to Hebron. Ahimon, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there.
12:46
Hebron was built seven years before Zohan in Egypt. And they came to the Valley of Eshcol and cut down from there a branch with a single cluster of grapes.
12:55
And they carried it on a pole between two of them. They also brought some pomegranates and figs.
13:01
That place was called the Valley of Eshcol because of the cluster that the people of Israel cut down from there.
13:07
At the end of the 40 days, they returned from spying out the land and they came to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran at Kadesh.
13:17
They brought back word to them and all the congregation and showed them the fruit of the land.
13:24
And they told him, We came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey and this is its fruit.
13:32
However, the people who dwell in the land are strong. And the cities are fortified and very large.
13:39
And besides, we saw the descendants of Anak there. And the Amalekites dwell in the land of the
13:44
Negev. The Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the hill country. And the Canaanites dwell in the sea and along the
13:50
Jordan. This is kind of like the Wizard of Oz. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
13:57
Amalekites and Canaanites and Hittites, oh my! Right? But here's the problem.
14:06
They have their eye on those people and their deduction is
14:11
God is lying to us. He has no intention of giving us this land.
14:17
Do you see who's in there? So watch what happens.
14:24
But Caleb, one of the men who does trust the word of the Lord, he quieted the people before Moses and said,
14:31
Let us go up once and occupy it for we are able to overcome it. And then the men who had gone up with him said,
14:38
We're not able to go up against the people. They are stronger than we are. So they brought to the people of Israel a bad report of the land that they had spied out saying,
14:49
The land through which we have gone out to spy, it's a land that devours its inhabitants.
14:55
And all the people we saw in there were of great height. And there we saw the Nephilim, the son of Anak, who came from the
15:01
Nephilim. We seem to ourselves like grasshoppers. And so we seem to them. Did God really say?
15:28
But watch what happens now. They don't believe this word from God that he intended to give them the land of Israel.
15:37
So all the congregation, they raised a loud cry and the people wept that night and all the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron and the whole congregation said to them,
15:49
Oh, would that we had died in the land of Egypt or would that we had died in this wilderness.
15:54
Why is the Lord bringing us into this land to fall by the sword? Our wives, our little ones will become a prey.
16:01
Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt? And they said to one another, Let us choose a leader.
16:11
This is demonic. This is absolutely demonic. They are accusing
16:18
God of evil, of lying to them, purposely lying to them that God's plan the entire time was to take the children of Israel out of slavery from Egypt, bring them into the wilderness and then have them slaughtered like pigs.
16:38
That's what they believed because they didn't believe the word of God.
16:47
They failed this temptation. So then Moses and Aaron, they fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the people of Israel.
16:56
Joshua, the son of Nun, and Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land.
17:01
They tore their clothes and said to the congregation of the people of Israel, The land which we pass through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.
17:09
If the Lord delights in us, He will bring us into this land and, here's the word, give it to us.
17:19
Notice, these men believe God at His word. They don't believe God is evil.
17:25
They don't believe that God caused all the ten plagues to fall on Egypt only to bring them into the wilderness and slaughter them.
17:33
They refuse to believe that when the destroyer passed through Egypt and all of the children of Israel whose homes were spared because of the blood of the
17:42
Lamb over the door, He saved them from that destruction. That He does not intend for them evil, but He intends for them good.
17:51
They knew and saw the signs they were the ones who passed through dry ground as they passed through the
17:58
Red Sea. And then the armies of Egypt, when they tried to do the same, they were destroyed by God.
18:04
Everything that God has done up to this point, in word and deed, shows
18:09
His great love, mercy, and compassion for the children of Israel. And now these men, these ten men, who despise
18:18
God's word, have worked up the children of Israel to believe that God intends for them evil.
18:23
And this is what happens when you do not believe
18:29
God's word. You make God to be the lie. So now, we go back to Moses and Aaron.
18:49
He will bring us into this land and He will give it to us. A land that flows with milk and honey.
18:56
Only do not rebel against the Lord. Do not fear the people of the land, for they are bred for us.
19:01
Their protection is removed from them. And the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.
19:08
Then all the congregation said to the stone with the stones, but the glory of the
19:16
Lord appeared at the tent of meeting to all the people of Israel. And the Lord said to Moses, How long will this people despise
19:22
Me? How long will they not believe in Me? In spite of all of the signs that I have done among them.
19:31
I will strike them with pestilence and disinherit them. And I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.
19:40
God's solution, I'm just going to slaughter them all. They think that's what I'm going to do, so I'm going to go ahead and do it. Now watch what
19:46
Moses does. Moses now intercedes as a priest. This is what priests do.
19:52
They pray on behalf of people. And we are all kings and priests. Keep this in mind. Scripture is very clear about this.
19:58
You are part of the priesthood of all believers. You have the ability to stand in the gap and pray for others.
20:04
So do so. It's your priestly duty to do so. But watch how Moses does this. Moses is now going to pray and the thing he's going to pray is to remind
20:13
God of all of the great promises that God made. So Moses is going to pray back to God God's own words.
20:22
So Moses said to the Lord. Alright, so the Egyptians, they're going to hear this. For you brought this people up in your might from among them, and they will tell the inhabitants of this land, they have heard that you,
20:34
O Yahweh, are in the midst of this people. For you, O Lord, are seen face to face and your cloud stands over them and you go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.
20:45
Now, if you kill this people as one man, then the nations who have heard of your fame will say, well, it's because Yahweh was not able to bring this people into the land that he swore to give them.
20:55
That he has killed them in the wilderness. And now, please, let the power of the Lord be great as you have promised.
21:03
And here he now quotes God to God. Where you said, the Lord, Yahweh, is slow to anger.
21:11
He's abounding in steadfast love. Forgiving iniquity and transgression.
21:17
But he will by no means clear the guilty. Visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation.
21:25
So please, pardon the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of your steadfast love just as you have forgiven this people from Egypt until now.
21:38
Moses' prayer is, please, Lord, don't give them what they deserve. But instead, give them what you said.
21:44
You said, remember that time, God, when I was hiding in the cleft because you had put me in there.
21:50
I said I wanted to see you face to face and you wouldn't let me see you that way. So you caused your glory to pass by as I was hiding in the cleft and you held your hand.
21:58
I heard the words that you spoke at that time. Where you said, the Lord, the
22:04
Lord, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and the one who forgives iniquity. I heard your words,
22:10
Lord. You are kind and merciful. So now be merciful and kind and pardon and forgive the sin of your people.
22:19
This is a prayer. Oh, this is a prayer. Don't give them what they deserve,
22:24
Lord. You are forgiving, so forgive. And watch what the Lord says.
22:31
Then the Lord said, I have pardoned according to your word.
22:38
But Moses didn't give his own words. Moses prayed back to God, God's words.
22:45
It's a lot like the absolution. Yeah, when you hear me say those inflammatory words, I forgive you all of your sins.
22:53
It's not really me doing it. Because all I'm doing is doing what God told me to do. Because the sins
22:59
I forgive, they will have already been forgiven, the text says. So Moses, God says to Moses, I have pardoned according to your word.
23:08
But Moses prayed for pardon according to God's words. So who did the pardoning there? Whose words really it's going on here?
23:14
These aren't Moses' words, they're God's. Then he says this, Truly as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the
23:23
Lord, none of the men who have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have put me to test these ten times, and have not obeyed my voice, shall see the land
23:35
I swore to give to their fathers. None of those who despise me shall see it. But my servant
23:41
Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring him to the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.
23:50
Joshua and Caleb believed the word of the Lord. They go into the promised land because they have faith.
24:00
Those who do not believe will never see it. Ever. And it's really sad.
24:07
Because here's, if you think about it this way, the temptation of Jesus, because it's following this 40 day pattern in the wilderness, this is kind of our hermeneutical key to getting this, we see that the promised land is really a type and shadow of what it is that God is promising all of us.
24:25
And that's eternal life. The forgiveness of our sins. The same God who is slow to anger and pardon and forgave the children of Israel is the same
24:34
God who pardons and forgives us for all of our transgressions. Right? And it's so sad, because Jesus is the
24:43
Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. God has promised eternal life for all of humanity.
24:54
And it's only those who believe the word of the Lord and trust his promises and his mercy who will enter into that eternal rest.
25:03
So sad and tragic, because it is not his will that any should perish.
25:10
So we come back now to our Gospel text. Let's pay attention to what the devil is doing.
25:17
And we see how the devil operates. Where Israel failed in the wilderness in their temptation and they didn't believe the word of God, Jesus succeeds.
25:27
The devil said to him, I have to do this again, if you are the Son of God, I'm not saying that you're not
25:32
Jesus, but of course we've got to see if that word that you heard from the Lord is really true. If you are the Son of God, I command this stone to become bread.
25:41
Jesus answered him. And watch what he does. He answers with the word of God. He lets
25:46
God answer. Of course, he is God. That's a little mind bending. We'll save that for another sermon.
25:53
It is written, man shall not live by bread alone. Not in strength.
26:01
Didn't flex his muscles. Didn't pull some ultimate jiu -jitsu move. Didn't even miraculously do anything.
26:08
Jesus in his weakened state. Hasn't eaten for 40 days. Tempted in the wilderness. Tempter comes.
26:15
And he just quotes a Bible verse. Funny how that happens. So the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
26:26
Oh yes, the devil's capable of giving people dreams and visions. How do you think he did it in a split second?
26:33
In a moment of time? And he said to him, to you I will give all this authority and their glory for it has been delivered to me and I will give it to whom
26:44
I will. If you then will worship me, it will be yours. Man, that doesn't tell you how sick the devil is.
26:54
I don't know what does. But Jesus, it's written, you'll worship the
27:00
Lord your God and him only shall you serve. Is Jesus doubting for a second?
27:08
The word of the father. You are my beloved son. Not for a second.
27:14
But that's what the devil's trying to get him to do. So he took him up to Jerusalem. Set him on the pinnacle of the temple and he said to him, and watch this.
27:21
The devil can quote scripture, but he always likes to misquote it. If you are the son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it is written he will command his angels concerning you to guard you and on their hands they will bear you up lest you strike your foot against a stone.
27:39
So the devil misquotes Psalm 91. But I want to point something else out. Kind of an important thing.
27:46
Who does the devil think Psalm 91 is about? Who does the devil think
27:54
Psalm 91 is about? Does he think it's about you? He thinks it's about Jesus.
28:02
And you know what? The devil's right. The devil reading Psalm 91. We read it today.
28:08
As you were reading it, were you saying, man, this is a great Psalm about Jesus. You weren't, were you?
28:16
And yet it is about Him. Keep that in mind. Jesus Himself says the
28:21
Scriptures are about Him. The devil just admits it right here. So even the devil knows that.
28:27
No point reading yourself in the biblical text. It's not about you. It's about Jesus and what He's done for you. And so the passage he's misquoting here in,
28:36
I think, what is this? Verse 11 and 12. Yep. Verse 11 and 12.
28:42
Watch what it says. He will command His angels concerning you. And here's the part where the devil omits.
28:48
To guard you in all of your ways. The devil X's out those words. And then goes on to quote,
28:54
And on their hands they will bear you up lest you strike your foot against a stone. The devil quoting the Word of God omits just a little bit of it in order to create the false impression that God's Word promises that if Jesus was an adrenaline junkie and liked to throw
29:08
Himself off cliffs, that the angels would bear Him up and make sure that He never hit the ground and went splat.
29:15
But that's not what this psalm promises. It says to guard you in all of your ways.
29:21
Not in all of your recklessness. So Jesus detecting how the devil twists God's Word.
29:26
And by the way, He still twists God's Word this exact same way to this day through His false prophets,
29:32
His false preachers, His false teachers. Jesus says to Him, Oh, I lost my place.
29:48
It is said, You shall not put the Lord your God to the test. That's what He says. And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.
30:01
Toe to toe, mano a mano with the devil. I mean, this was the big fight. Was it supposed to be the big fight?
30:06
Whenever we have a big boxing match, you know, you've got the trash talking, you've got the big commercials, be sure to sign in and sign up now for pay -per -view so that you can watch the big match, right?
30:17
This was it. This is the Son of God versus the devil himself. And it's like a non -event.
30:25
Because Jesus never once doubted God's Word. It wasn't even a fair fight.
30:34
So I asked you at the beginning of the sermon, what do you think about God? What do you think about Him?
30:40
Do you think He's out to get you? Do you think His desire is to take your puny little carcass and just flick you into the fires of hell?
30:51
Is it His desire to slaughter you? What do you think about Him?
30:58
Have you considered the signs and wonders that God has shown? Here we have the
31:03
Son of God Himself who goes to the cross and He bleeds and dies for your sins and for mine.
31:12
And on the third day, He rises from the grave. The Scriptures say of Jesus, He is our
31:17
Passover Lamb. The Passover Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. We are covered in the blood of the
31:23
Lamb. And God promises all those who are in Him, who are washed in His blood, they will never perish.
31:31
They have eternal life. That God has forgiven them out of His great mercy.
31:37
Do you believe this about you? Do you believe that God intends to actually, you know, give you eternal life?
31:46
As a gift? Or do you think maybe that's just too good to be true?
31:53
Maybe God's like one of those attorneys. Got out that really, really tiny, small print, right?
31:59
I'm looking for the fine print here. Yeah, salvation is by grace through faith. If after you do this, that, and the other thing.
32:07
Right? Which is it? Are you striving to earn your salvation?
32:16
If you are, you think God is a liar. Plain and simple. You are just like the ten spies.
32:28
Oh, don't you understand, Pastor Rose, bro? I've got this sin. It's huge.
32:33
I did this and I'm really ashamed of it. If only you knew the things I have done. It's just like the
32:40
Amalekites, the Hittites, the lions, and the tigers and the bears. God's not strong enough to save me.
32:51
You've believed the lies of the devil because God says that he gives eternal life as a gift.
33:03
Gives. Is this not what our epistle text also said?
33:10
Let me read it again. Romans chapter 10, verse 8. So what does it say?
33:16
The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. That is the word of faith that we proclaim.
33:22
Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
33:30
For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the
33:35
Scripture says, everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.
33:41
Are you part of everyone or not? Is God telling you the truth here or not?
33:51
Everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame. For there's no distinction between Jew and Greek. For the same
33:57
Lord is Lord of all, bestowing His riches on all who call on Him.
34:05
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
34:21
God doesn't lie. The devil does. So I dare you.
34:30
I do. I dare you to believe this. Trust that even you can be saved.
34:40
Because all, everyone, who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Don't let the devil say, yeah, but you don't qualify.
34:52
If only they knew what you did. He's lying to you. God says, everyone.
34:59
And that includes you. In the name of Jesus, Amen. If you would like to support the teaching ministry of Kungsvinger Lutheran Church, you can do so by sending a tax -free donation to And again, that address is
