Elon Musk is the richest man in the world. The Babylon Bee is a cute little
Christian satire company. The Bee Weekly. How you guys doing?
Having a good week? No. Pretty good. No weird. Best week ever. Best week of all time.
Why would Elon Musk, a non -religious billionaire, decide to be interviewed by these
Christians? We're the only U .S. provider of astronaut transport to the space station.
We publish six to eight satire articles a day. The story begins with Elon Musk's growing frustration with California's restrictive policies.
Yes, California approved, but an unelected county official illegally overrode.
Also, all other auto companies in U .S. are approved to resume. Only Tesla has been singled out.
This is super messed up. In 2020, there was a standoff between Elon Musk and the state of California concerning the reopening of Tesla's factory in Fremont during the pandemic shutdowns.
In May of 2020, California lawmaker Lorena Gonzalez -Fletcher tweeted,
F. Elon Musk. In a follow -up tweet, Gonzalez tweeted that California had highly subsidized a company that has always disregarded worker safety and well -being, has engaged in union busting, and bullies public servants.
Message received. In the same month, Elon Musk tweeted,
Take the red pill, and announced he was moving Tesla's headquarters from California to Texas.
The story continues with the recent rapid growth of the Babylon Bee, a
Christian satire company. In the beginning, the Babylon Bee gained popularity within a relatively small
Christian niche with its Christian satire. Eventually, the Babylon Bee started adding more political satire to its comedy with extremely popular videos concerning transgenderism,
I never felt better. Free to be my true self.
Live my truth. Just be me. Completely unrelated. cancel culture,
You know, maybe it's just me, but I think it's bad when a cop dies too. These monsters kill if they hear you say an opinion they don't like.
and socialism. Imagine there's no money. The Babylon Bee's political satire launched it into mainstream discussions, with even
Snopes fact -checking the Bee's satire articles. We are fake news, and Snopes never gets anything wrong.
So don't ever subscribe to the Babylon Bee. That would be irresponsible. Alright, we got it.
Oh, please, Mr. Snopes, please let me go! In December of 2021,
Babylon Bee published a video on its YouTube channel titled Trailer. The Babylon Bee Interviews Elon Musk with a note in the thumbnail saying
We're not kidding. And sure enough, they weren't kidding. Shortly afterwards, the
Babylon Bee published the full interview with Elon Musk. I guess before we get started, like, uh, maybe you guys could tell me, like, what's the, you know, how did the
Bee get started? The common thought was, how in the world did a little
Christian company like the Babylon Bee get an interview with a man like Elon Musk?
Why did Elon Musk agree to do this interview? Well, the
Babylon Bee has established itself as one of the most effective and humorous critics of woke cancel culture.
Racism, it's everywhere. And as Pete Buttigieg tells us, it's baked into the very asphalt of our highways and roads.
Here's everything you need to know about racist roads. And Elon Musk is one of the primary targets of this woke cancel culture.
Let's change the rig tax code so the person of the year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else.
And if you opened your eyes for two seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any
American in history this year. Although the Babylon Bee interviewers did an extremely poor job of presenting the gospel to Elon Musk, This is true.
I, so, okay, so to make this church, we have to do, we have to make sure, just, we're wondering if you could do us a quick solid and accept
Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Personal Lord and Savior. It's a quick prayer.
Our men today are trusting in the fact that at least one time in their life they prayed a prayer and someone told them they were saved because they were sincere enough.
And so in their salvation, if you ask them, are you saved? They do not say, yes,
I am because I'm looking unto Jesus and there is mighty evidence giving me assurance of being born again.
No, they say, one time in my life I prayed a prayer. And although Elon Musk is certainly still not a
Christian, despite this odd exchange, I mean, let's just say, like, I agree with the principles that Jesus advocated and that the, you know, there's some, there's great wisdom in what, in the teachings of Jesus and I agree with those teachings.
And things like tone the other cheek are very important because as opposed to an eye for an eye. An eye for an eye leads everyone blind.
So forgiveness, you know, is important and treating people as you would wish to be treated.
Love thy neighbor as thyself. Very important. So it's like a 60 -70 % yes? As Einstein would say,
I believe in the God of Spinoza. So, but hey, if, you know, if Jesus is saving people,
I mean, I wouldn't stand in his way, you know, like, they'll be sure, I'll be saved, why not? Sweet, we did it?
I think he just said yes. We got him. We got him. Well, how much do you have to hate
Elon Musk to sit there and listen to him and it's obvious he's not a Christian, it's obvious he's dead in his trespasses and sins, it's obvious he's unregenerate, and not give him the gospel and just say, oh, praise the
Lord, woohoo, we got him. Are you kidding me? I've heard more gospel from Joel Osteen.
It seems clear that Elon Musk decided to team up with the Babylon Bee because of a shared recognition that the policies and ideologies of the radical left poses an immense danger to our civilization.
If I believe healthcare is a right as I do, I can no longer support an amendment that makes that right dependent on someone's zip code.
There was common ground concerning several of the issues they discussed.
At its heart, workness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful.
It basically gives mean people a reason, it gives them a shield to be mean and cruel, armored in false virtue.
Although there are certainly vital worldview differences between Christians and all non -Christians, certain cultural shifts have created some very interesting and unexpected alliances between Christians and non -Christians.
If Elon Musk were paying at the same rate as the rest of Americans on their wealth, then
Elon Musk and his kind could be funding a huge part of what we need in America.
This is why many Christians have found some common ground with organizations like The Daily Wire.
We're going to have one of our favorite people on. You know him, he really doesn't need much of an introduction for our audience.
His name is Ben Shapiro. He is the editor -in -chief of The Daily Wire. He is known for saying one of my favorite things, and that is the facts don't care about your feelings.
Check out this clip. Clip number one, Marcus, give it a roll. You're not being polite to the pronouns. Disrespect.
Okay, forget about the disrespect. Facts don't care about your feelings. You cut that out now, or you'll go home in an ambulance.
Yeah, that seems mildly inappropriate for a political discussion. And PragerU, and why Votie Bockham has become friends with atheists like James Lindsay.
Another resource, and I quoted from this resource earlier, New Discourses. Now, New Discourses is curated by an atheist.
