Something DEMONIC is Happening in TONS of Churches...

Through the internet and resources such as YouTube, Christians today have access to an unbelievable number of popular

Christian teachers. Some good, some not so good. Obviously we can't cover every single popular

Christian teacher thoroughly in just one video, so we're going to provide a very brief summary of a lot of them.

Let's just start with a group of Christian teachers who are probably the most popular Christian teachers in the world today.

These Christian teachers fall into the category of Prosperity Preachers or Word of Faith Teachers.

Generally speaking, these are false teachers who have replaced the gospel of sin and salvation with a false gospel of healings, miracles, and prosperity.

To state the obvious, it's much easier to attract large numbers if you almost never talk about sin and always talk about receiving blessings from God.

You better believe the topic was not the gospel. The topic was not, you know, come and have your sins forgiven.

Come and repent and believe. No, you know what it was. Come get your blessing. Come get your miracle.

Come get your deliverance. Come get your... And the list goes on and on. These are the things that thousands flock to.

In this category of popular Christian Prosperity Preachers, we have people like Joel Osteen.

I want to talk to you today about expecting a favor -filled future. T .D.

Jakes. Get ready to be blessed as we go into the Word of God and show you how to, as the message says, position yourself to prosper.

You have to be positioned right. If you're not positioned right, you can't receive the abundance that God has for you.

Kenneth Copeland. He never planned for anybody to ever be poor. On what day did he create sickness?

My goodness. He didn't do that, Bill. He declared life and health.

I set before you life and blessing, death and cursing. So there's two absolutes and he said, you choose life.

He'd already planned life. He never planned all that other stuff for anybody. Joyce Meyer.

Do you believe that if someone gives money to the ministry, that more will come back to them?

Yes. Absolutely. I think that's what they mean by prosperity. No, but you worry at all that sometimes your message will be heard by someone in the most dire circumstances.

It's a sort of roulette wheel, a sort of gamble with God. Okay. Well, I can't pay the rent, but I'll give it to Joyce and we'll see what happens.

Do you worry at all that that happens? I totally know. I don't worry about that. Benny Hinn. Joshua, Timothy, Wesley, get over here and work.

Collect all those envelopes. Lady, sit down. Darling, sit down. Sit down.

Don't break the anointing. Have the lady sit down. They break the anointing when they move like that.

Now, bring those envelopes, please. Timothy, come hold the envelopes, please. Now, you that already gave, you may have to give again.

Todd White, who has never repented of his leg lengthening scams and who admires

Kenneth Copeland. People call prosperity some kind of twisted doctrine. God wants you to be in good health and he wants you to prosper.

He wants your soul to prosper. He wants the prosperous soul to hit you so much.

Kenneth Copeland has taught me so much. You guys can think what you want. There's people that have said,

I've had partners that are partners with lifestyle. They're like, well, now that we know that you're in cahoots with this false prophet, we don't want to partner with you.

I feel bad for you. I do. I don't need your partnership. It's not about that. See, you don't know that Kenneth Copeland is one of the most generous people alive on the planet.

Oral Roberts, who is Kenneth Copeland's mentor. Now, Brother Copeland and your dear wife,

Gloria, would you look at us? Look on us. Silver and gold have we plenty.

Robert Tilton. This is hot soil for anyone that's got the faith to sow into it right now.

I mean right now. I mean right now, not tomorrow. That's part of your problem. God's already spoken a word to you and told you to do it.

You need to do it right now. If you'll start now and get your seed of faith into the ground, it'll begin to grow and God will begin to move.

There's that person with that job again. I'm telling you, there's a person that has a terrible situation, a job, it's caused a financial problem.

It's brought unnecessary pressure and stress upon the home and the family.

And it's caused another one. Here's another part of it. It's caused incredible arguments between you and your husband and your spouse and your mate.

It's thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. This is somebody's day of harvest. Creflo Dollar.

I'm talking about now prosperity. Joseph Prince.

Pastors are intimidated from preaching this message, lest they be lumped among the prosperity preachers.

Paula White. Paula, many of us bring one day. Some of us bring one week.

Some of us bring an entire month's salary. Because we understand the principle of all firsts belong to God.

When you present your firstfruits offering of any size, I want to get to you my book. And that book is

The Principle of Firstfruits. That first things first. All firsts belong to God. I lay this out in extreme detail.

Then for your firstfruits offering, and you can't really say, well, this amount of this amount. But it just costs us a certain amount of money to get things to you, to air, to get the gospel out, etc.

Other prominent, popular prosperity preachers include E .W. Kenyon, A .A.

Allen, T .L. Osborne, Rev. Ike, and Kenneth Hagin. Next here's a group of Christian teachers who are nowhere near as popular as the prosperity preachers we just covered, but whom

I believe are very solid Bible teachers who refuse to compromise to please the culture.

Votie Bauckham. You know what happens when you compromise and men finally get an opportunity to preach the gospel?

Having compromised and sinned against God. You know what? If you preach the gospel, even if you compromise and you get an opportunity to eventually preach the gospel, some are going to mock you, some will hear you further, and some will believe.

You know what happens when you don't compromise and God opens an opportunity for you to preach the gospel, some will mock you, some will listen to you further, and some will believe.

So why bother compromising in the first place? Compromising is not going to save anyone.

John MacArthur. And the evangelical church has been so busy over the last 30 years trying to find ways not to offend non -Christians, trying to find ways to take the offenses out of the

Christian message, designing approaches to non -believers that don't create hostility or rejection, that it has created an evangelical movement that is void of the truth.

Why do they do this? Because the gospel in truth is so offensive. It is offensive.

In fact, strange as it may seem, the good news is hated by non -believers.

Paul Washer. I'm not trying to be hard for the sake of being hard. Do you realize how much love it takes to stand before 5 ,000 people and tell them that American Christianity is almost totally wrong?

Do you know what it's going to cost me to never be asked back again to something like this? To be unpopular?

Do you know why you do it? You don't do it because you get paid well. You don't do it because men love you. You do it because you love men.

And because more than that, you want to honor God. R .C. Sproul. You know, people think that there's another gospel.

They think they can improve upon the gospel. They think they can edit the gospel. They think that they can change the gospel and move to another gospel, but there is no other gospel.

There's only one gospel. God's gospel. Yet there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

Now, here's where he really, really turns up the heat. But if we or an angel from heaven, listen to this, if we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be on a tamer.

No stronger word in the Greek. Let him be anathema. Let him be damned.

Jeff Durbin. Somebody will say, OK, well, wait a minute. You mean I can't walk up to someone on the street and say,

Jesus loves you. Hey, Jesus loves you. Well, I'll say this. That's not how the apostles preach the gospel.

I challenge you. I'll challenge you with this. If you're emotionally committed to that methodology, then I'll just challenge you with this.

Go find that in the New Testament. Find it. Find the apostles in the book of Acts. You have an entire narrative of the history of the early church in the book of Acts and how the apostles in early church went into the public square, preached the gospel, saw so many come to Christ.

The church formed and grew and it just blew up over the empire. They started riots by being godly troublemakers and preaching the gospel.

And I want you to find me where in the book of Acts the apostles went into a place and said, hey, guys, Jesus loves you.

Find it. You won't. And I would challenge us with this. Maybe our methodology is wrong. Maybe our methodology isn't biblical.

Maybe our methodology and pandering to rebels against God by walking out into the public square and saying, hey, rebel,

Jesus loves you. Maybe that's not the way. Maybe we should proclaim the gospel the way the apostles proclaimed the gospel, where they said things like God commands men everywhere to repent.

They went into a place saying, you're a sinner. This is what Jesus accomplished. He died. He rose again.

He's the king of the earth. Repent and believe the gospel. It came as a command, not as a request.

James White. Men who are in rebellion against the sovereign are offended by his power and authority because they are in rebellion to it.

It is natural for mankind to seek to establish himself as having ultimate authority when you don't want to be in submission to the authority you already know exists, and that is

God's authority. This next group of popular Christian teachers fall under the category of seeker -sensitive pastors, which would also include many of the prosperity preachers we mentioned earlier, such as Joel Osteen, who create church experiences that are centered around the satisfaction of the people who attend the church rather than around preaching the full, true gospel of Jesus Christ, including the offensive parts about sin, hell, and God's moral law.

There's Stephen Furtick of Elevation Church, who teaches all who attend that God is on their side without any qualifications about repentance and faith.

The Lord put me up behind this pulpit today to remind you of something very simple but very strong.

He wanted me to tell you, God's got your back. God's got your back.

On your way to your seat, just tell three people. I can't reach them. You can't say. God's got your back. He's absolutely committed and connected to whatever is concerning you.

God's got your back. Say it. God's got my back.

There's Rick Warren, who believes his job is just to give people what they are already looking for.

So what am I saying? That when we share our hope with other people, what we have to offer people is exactly what everyone is looking for.

There's Andy Stanley, who teaches that God doesn't condemn anyone. And having paid for it, he declared,

I don't condemn you. And then he says to all of us now that I've called sin, sin, paid for it, and said

I don't condemn you. I want you all to leave your life of sin. And if you don't, I love you.

And if you can't, I love you. And if the woundedness and the shrapnel of your own sin has left you to the place where you're not even sure you'll ever be able to walk away from the complexity of your sin,

I love you. There's Brian Houston of Hillsong Church, who teaches that people don't need to be told they're sinners.

And you'll hear people say, you don't preach enough about sin. You don't preach enough about repentance.

But you know, I actually think what they're saying is you don't beat people up enough. You don't have to remind people they're sinners.

They know. You don't have to remind people they fall short not only of God, but of who they would want to be themselves.

You don't have to beat people up. This next group of popular Christian teachers fall under the category of progressive pastors, if we can even call them pastors at all.

They teach some absolutely, unbelievably heretical doctrines. There's Brandon Robertson, perhaps the worst of them all.

Did you know that there's a part of the Gospel of Mark where Jesus uses a racial slur? There's John Pablovitz, who is almost as bad.

I am a pro -choice man, and there's a strange moment in nearly all of my interactions with professed pro -life women, one that never fails to disorient and grieve me.

Whether on social media or in person, I eventually have a realization. Only one of us believes that she should have full autonomy over her own body, and it isn't her.

There's Richard Rohr, a universalist who is beloved by Oprah. That's why what you call universalism is much more of a common

Christian opinion in the first three, four centuries, you know? And then it became marginalized.

Now it's called universalism. You know, the assumption is, if God is victorious, then

God is victorious. God doesn't lose. There's even Oprah, who thinks she can teach people how to be

Christian, yet rejects almost everything the Bible teaches. I am a

Christian. That is my faith. I'm not asking you to be a Christian. If you want to be one, I can show you how.

But it is not required. I have respect for all faiths. All faiths.

There are millions of ways to be a human being. Then how do you please God? And many ways, no, but many paths to what you call

God. This next group of pastors are part of the New Apostolic Reformation, or NAR, which is basically the prosperity gospel on steroids because it emphasizes miracles and demanding blessings from God to a much higher degree.

Popular Christian teachers in the category include Bill Johnson. Question number two, does

God ever choose not to heal? No. God chose 2 ,000 years ago to make a purchase. Heidi Baker.

I want you just to take in the spirit realm that crown that's on your head and just place it upon someone else.

They're going to just get wrecked all over the room. Chris Vallotton. So I want to make a decree against this virus right now.

In Jesus' name, I break the power of this coronavirus. You will not have the crown. Jesus has the crown.

He is king of kings. And so I command this virus to leave, both to leave people's minds, to leave people's hearts, to leave the earth.

What's more important for us is alignment before the assignment, because what we have to do is recognize who are the ones who really are called as apostles to those various mountains.

Today's language of the Holy Spirit is dreams. We say, well, it was just a dream.

What do you mean, just a dream? Who knows what angels had to fight through to break into your world, to give you their thoughts, and you just say, it's just a dream.

I think the church needs to stop saying, it's just a dream. But dear friends, that is exactly what it is.

Lord. There are also prosperity preachers in Africa who are taking advantage of the hopes of poor and desperate people instead of preaching the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

David Oyedepo. Every invisible plantains of the devil, like we have seen several in this church, shall be flushed out.

Every malfunctioning organ shall be perfected. TB Joshua. In the name of Jesus, I command that devil in your temple, devil in your body, hands of sickness, hands of disease, hands of affliction, you devil, get out of this body.

Shepard Bushiri. If you know you are sick, just touch yourself. Every disease is going to leave right now.

Chris Oyekolome. They started, demons started leaving this place.

People are started trembling. People are remain ready for healing.

Started trembling. One by one, one by one. It was like, you know, seeing Jesus. This next group of popular

Christian teachers are teachers whom I have greatly respected at one point. But now

I would say that although they may have some excellent teachings, I would put an asterisk by their name because of some questionable things they have said.

I wouldn't say they are false teachers. And I wouldn't say they are bad teachers. But I would say they have taught some questionable things.

Here, we'll just briefly cover some of the questionable things they have said. Although there are certainly other, more positive things they have taught.

David Platt. And I know as a white pastor, I have blind spots. So I am part of the problem.

Matt Chandler. White pastors, I need to chat with you. You have got to say something.

Francis Chan. Even coming in this room and sharing with you, this is really the first time

I have spoken to a Catholic crowd. Mark Dever. I think one of the things that most separates white and black

Christians in America is one issue voting. And I can vote for a candidate who

I disagree with about some very important issues that I don't really think they are going to get anything done on. But I agree with them on these other issues that I think are going to help a lot of people.

I think a lot of our African American brothers and sisters realized like a long time ago that well, there are going to be a bunch of different issues that are going to be affecting us.

I think white Christians think this is the only moral way to approach voting. I think they have never thought of any other thing, generally.

When I have embraced the reality of God's inexhaustibleness. You don't have to do song and dance and pony shows for me.

Just preach the word. Preach it like he does. Preach it true. Preach it hard. Preach it without compromise.

Preach it like you believe that there is somebody who needs to hear it. Preach it like you are preaching to people who are wrong and they need to be right.

Because that is exactly who I am. A sinner who needs to be confronted on the regular. A someone who loves me enough and who loves the triune

God enough to contend earnestly for the faith.
