Welcome to another installment of Fighting for the Faith. My name is Chris Roseboro. I am your servant in Jesus Christ.

This is the channel that compares what people are saying in the name of God to the Word of God. Now, I know that on Fighting for the

Faith, on this channel, we talk a lot about false prophets. In fact, I mean, we obviously show that they are false through some silly and absurd things like Prophecy Bingo.

But here's the thing. As much as we like to use false prophecy to demonstrate absurdity and like let our hair down a little bit, it's important for us to recognize the real threat that false prophets pose within the body of Christ.

And that is this, that they are attacking the very foundation on which the church is built.

Now, I know that seems like quite the claim on my part, but I'll back it up biblically. So what we're gonna do today,

I'm going to have you listen to a portion of a prophetic word from probably somebody you've never heard of.

In fact, I chose this woman specifically because I don't think I've covered her before. And that being the case, she's not a high -profile prophet.

I don't think I've ever seen her invited to any of the major prophetic conferences or anything like that.

She's like claiming to be a prophetess off in some obscure corner of the world down in South Africa in Cape Town.

So the idea then here is that who she is doesn't really matter. What she says is going to be stuff that you've heard similar things before.

But I want you to consider just how dangerous what she is doing is because it attacks the very foundation of the church.

So let's do this. Let's whirl up the desktop. And that's a photograph

I took last week at Los Angeles International Airport, LAX, at the

Delta Terminal. I think Terminal 2? I think. I forget where I was, but I just know that's

LAX. But alas, that's not why we're here. So let me let me pull up the web browser. Okay, this woman, she has a

South African accent. Her name is Carrie Smith. Her and her husband run a ministry down in Cape Town, South Africa, called

Kingdom GPS. They only have 1 .3 thousand subscribers. This is low budget, low production value, and like I said, what you're gonna hear, you've heard stuff like this before.

So let me just kind of refresh your mind about what a false prophet sounds like. This woman is clearly one of them.

And let's listen in. Feeling teary -eyed when I saw how the enemy got a drive to come and lie to so many people and cause so much devastation and drama and trauma and plundering and devastation in the lives of so many families.

And you know, as I looked at it, I actually just wanted to cry, but the hunger of the people attracted the attention of heaven.

And as we worshipped, I felt that God literally stepped into the room. So you felt, while you worshipped, you felt

God step into, prophecy bingo word. I could feel that the atmosphere as we were speaking, the atmosphere was shifting.

The atmosphere was shifting. Atmosphere and shifting are prophecy bingo words. Suddenly hope started filling the room.

Faith started filling the hearts of the people, and as I started prophesying and we started speaking, I could literally see that there was a twitch and a shift in people's eyes.

And I saw how they were willing to trust again, to step into the greater promises of what the

Father has. Isn't that amazing that we've got the responsibility? Now note, she doesn't have an open

Bible. That's your first sign you got a problem. She's claiming to be speaking some vision that she claimed that she had while they were worshipping here, and you've heard all this stuff before.

The breakthrough, the atmosphere, the shifting, the shaking, all the nonsense. This is all just empty, empty, empty words.

She's breaking the commandment in the Ten Commandments that says, you shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

Indeed, she is taking God's name in vain, for sure. But why is this so dangerous?

Well, the answer is actually found in the book of Ephesians, and let me explain. In Ephesians chapter 2, in fact, here we go.

No, that's John 8. Here we go. Ephesians chapter 2. I want you to consider what the Apostle Paul says.

I'll start at verse 18 for context. For through him, through Christ, we both, that's

Jews and Gentiles, have access in the one Spirit, that's the Holy Spirit, to the Father. So then, y 'all are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and you are members of the household of God.

This is all through what Christ has done. Christ has bled and died, and he's taken Jews and Gentiles, bled for them, and made them one, okay?

And all together, everybody who's in Christ, we are members of the household of God. But watch this.

Household of God, which is built on the foundation of the

Apostles and the Prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone. Now, I would note here,

Apostles and Prophets, in my lifetime, I have seen the so -called restoration of prophets.

That took place in the 1980s in the Lateran movement. I've seen the so -called restoration of Apostles, which is part of what's called the

New Apostolic Reformation in C. Peter Wagner. That's the big claims of the

Lateran movement and the New Apostolic Reformation. God has restored prophets and apostles.

So, this isn't talking about, built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, as like ongoing apostles, ongoing prophets in the

Church. For nearly 2 ,000 years, there haven't been any Apostles, and there haven't been any

Prophets. If you don't believe me, I mean, just real simple, I mean,

Google it. Who are the great Apostles in the Church in the 12th century?

Who are the primary prophets of Christianity in the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th century?

There aren't any, okay? Built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, what's this then referring to?

The Word of God. If you were to think of it this way, Moses is referred to in Scripture as a prophet.

Who wrote the histories of the Old Testament? The prophets did. Who wrote the prophetic books of the

Old Testament? The prophets did. So, the Church is built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets.

That's a reference to the Word of God, both Old Testament and New Testament. Who are the authors of the

New Testament? The Apostles of Jesus Christ. So, what is the household, what is the

Church of God built on? Built on the foundation of the Scriptures, the Apostles and the

Prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is being joined together and grows into a holy temple in the

Lord. So, when people in the Church flat -out attack the

Word of God, they are attacking the foundation of the household of God, or the

Church itself. If somebody says, well, you know, we live in a day when we don't need to believe in the virgin birth and that Jesus rose bodily from the grave, and they're doing that in the pulpit, they're attacking the foundation of the

Church, which is the Apostles and Prophets. It's the Scripture. That being the case, when somebody like Carrie Smith here is speaking these false words, she's building a church, not on the

Scriptures, the Apostles and Prophets of the Scriptures, she's building a church based upon herself, claiming to be a prophet.

But clearly, she isn't. And as a result of this, what she is doing, by giving these false prophecies, claiming to have this authority to speak for God, when clearly she's just speaking empty words, is she's attacking the foundation by corrupting the foundation, by adding her own nonsense to the foundation, and the church that's being built there isn't a

Church of Christ at all. It's something completely different. But here's what

Jesus says. Jesus says in John 8, Jesus said to those who believed him, if you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

If you abide in my word, you are my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

In other words, if you're a true disciple of Christ, then you are insanely focused on the

Apostles and the Prophets, which is a reference to the authors of the Old and the New Testament. In fact, if we were to look at Acts chapter 2, after the day of Pentecost, all these

Christians, newly baptized Christians, what did they do? It says this, they devoted themselves to the

Apostles' teaching, and to the fellowship, the breaking of bread, and the prayers. They devoted themselves to the

Apostles' teaching. So Christ says, if you abide in my word, the

Scriptures, you are my disciples. But when somebody like Cary Smith, or Jeremiah Johnson, or Cindy Jacobs, or Chris Vallotton come along, claiming to be an

Apostle, a Prophet of Christ, and they give us these empty, vain, worthless blasphemies, they're attacking the very foundation of the

Church, and the way they are attacking the very foundation of the Church is by laying their empty, hollow words into the foundation of the

Church, which then compromises the entire structure of that Church. It's devastating in its impact.

So let me keep reading here. Well, they said to him, well, we are offspring of Abraham. We've never been enslaved to anyone.

How can you say that you will become free? You'll know the truth, and the truth will set you free. The only thing that sets you free is the truth.

The only thing that sets you free is the Word of God, and that's only found in the Scriptures. So Jesus answered them, truly, truly,

I say to everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain forever in the house forever, the son remains forever.

So if the Son sets you free through the truth, through the Word of God, you will be free indeed. I know that you are offspring of Abraham, yet you seek to kill me because my word finds no place in you.

I speak of what I have seen with my father, and you do what you heard from your father. Well, they said, well,

Abraham is our father. Jesus said to him, if you were Abraham's children, you'd be doing the works that Abraham did, but now you seek to kill me, a man who's told you the truth that I heard from God.

This is not what Abraham did. You're doing the works that your father did. And they said, well, we were not born of sexual immorality.

We have one father, even God. Jesus said, if God were your father, you'd love me, for I came from God, I am here.

I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. Why do you not understand what I say?

It's because you cannot bear to hear my word. You know why people listen to people like this and call it church?

Christ makes it clear. It's because they don't, they can't bear to hear God's word. They don't want to hear it. They want to hear nonsense like this.

And the ability through the Father to bring in hope to places where people thought it's over. Where Jesus steps onto the scene,

I tell you, things change and destinies change, and people get their hope to start pushing into their dreams that they once had.

They start pushing to to get that back again. And I actually wanted just to cry at the goodness, the goodness.

These are empty words. Christ says, the reason why you don't understand what

12:35

I say is because you cannot bear to hear my word. You are of your father the devil. Your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning.

He doesn't stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he,

Satan, lies, he speaks out of his own character. He is a liar and he's the father of lies. This woman is speaking lies.

These are not words from God. These are satanic doctrines that she's teaching. And they they tear apart the very foundation of the church.

But because I tell you the truth, you don't believe me. Which one of you convicts me of sin if I tell the truth?

13:06

Why do you not believe me? Whoever is of God hears the words of God.

13:12

The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God. The reason why people listen to her and people like her, high -profile people included, is because they're not of God.

They can't stand the truth. They don't want to hear the truth. They want to hear what they want to hear. And I would note, throughout the scripture, true prophets of God, their words never fell to the ground.

Let me tell you a story, a biblical one, okay, about Elisha. In the book of 2nd

Kings chapter 9, we read this about Elisha sending one of his understudies to anoint over the northern kingdom,

Israel, a fellow by the name of Jehu. So here's what it says, Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets and said to him, tie up your garments, take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

And when you arrive, look there for Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, and go in and have him rise from among his fellows, lead him into an inner chamber, and then take the flask of oil, pour it on his head, and say, thus says

Yahweh, I anoint you king over Israel, then open the door, flee, do not linger.

14:21

Skedaddle quick. So the young man, the servant of the prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead. And when he came, behold, the commanders of the army were in council, and they said,

I have a word for you, O commander. And Jehu said, to which of us all?

14:36

He said, to you, O commander. So he rose and went into the house, and the young man poured the oil on his head, saying to him, thus says

14:43

Yahweh, the God of Israel, I anoint you king over the people of Yahweh over Israel.

14:49

And you shall strike down the house of Ahav, your master, so that I may avenge on Jezebel the blood of my servants, the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Yahweh.

14:59

For the whole house of Ahav shall perish, and I will cut off from Ahav every male, bond or free, in Israel.

So note here, prophecy coming from Elisha through his understudy, that God has ordered that every male descendant of Ahav is to die.

By the way, that's how you pronounce it, it's not Ahab, it's Ahav. And I will make the house of Ahav like the house of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha, the son of Ahishah.

And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the territory of Jezreel, and none shall bury her.

15:35

And then he opened the door and he fled. Note, very specific prophecy, God gave it to Elisha, who gave it to one of the sons of the prophets, who then delivered it, and the messages delivered.

Let's see if this comes to pass. So when Jehu came out of the servants of his master, they said to him,

Is all well? Why did this mad fellow come to you? And he said to them, Well, you know the fellow and his talk.

15:59

And they said, That is not true, tell us now. And he said, Well, thus he spoke to me, saying,

Thus says Yahweh, I know that you king over Israel. And then in haste every man of them took his garment, put it under him on the bare steps, and they blew the trumpet and proclaimed,

Jehu is king. Okay? So he then gets busy fulfilling the word of Yahweh.

And I would note some notable things happen here. One of my favorites is what happens next.

Remember what Elisha said would happen to Jezebel. And somebody can sit there and say, Well, Jehu set out to obey

Elisha's prophecy. Well, here's the thing. There's details that Elisha gave that Jehu wasn't willing to do, but still came true anyways.

When God speaks, it always comes true. None of God's words ever fall to the ground.

Never. Right? So when Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, and she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked out of the window.

And as Jehu entered the gate, she said, Is it peace, you zimri murderer of your master?

17:09

And he lifted up his face to the window and said, Who's on my side? Who? Two or three eunuchs looked out at him, and he said,

17:17

Throw her down. So they threw her down. And some of her blood splattered, spattered on the wall and on the horses, and they trampled on her.

17:26

And then he went in and ate and he drank. And he said, See now this cursed woman, and bury her, for she is a king's daughter.

17:35

So Jehu intended to bury her because she was the daughter of a king.

17:42

Yeah, her name is Jezebel. That means Princess Jezebel, right? But remember what

God said. God said she wouldn't be buried and that dogs would eat her. But when they went to bury her, they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands.

And when they came back and told him, he said, Well, this is the word of Yahweh, which he spoke by his servant

Elijah the Tishbite. In the territory of Jezreel, the dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel, and the corpse of Jezebel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the territory of Jezreel, so that no one can say this is

Jezebel. Elijah's prophecy came true. Elisha's prophecy came true, both of them regarding Jezebel, despite the fact that Jehu had it in mind to do something different.

Isn't that interesting? None of God's words ever fall to the ground. And then it continues.

Remember what the prophecy was, that all of the male descendants of Ahav are going to die. So Ahav had 70 sons in Samaria.

So Jehu wrote letters, sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of the city, to the elders and the guardians of the sons of Ahav, saying,

Now then, as soon as this letter comes to you, seeing your master's sons are with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, fortified cities also, and weapons, select the best and fittest of your master's sons, and set him on his father's throne, and fight for your master's house.

But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, Behold, the two kings could not stand before him. How then can we stand?

19:11

So he who was over the palace, and he who was over the city, together with the elders and the guardians, sent to Jehu, saying,

We are your servants, and we will do all that you tell us. We will not make anyone king. Do whatever is good in your eyes.

19:24

And then he wrote to them a second letter, saying, If you are on my side, if you are ready to obey me, take the heads of your master's sons, and come to me at Jezreel tomorrow at this time.

Now the king's sons, 70 persons, who were bringing them up, and as soon as the letter came to them, they took the king's sons, and they slaughtered them.

Seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to Jehu at Jezreel.

19:52

When the messenger came and told him they have brought the heads of the king's sons, he said, Lay them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning.

And then in the morning when he went out, he stood and said to all the people, You are innocent.

You are innocent. It was I who conspired against my master and killed him, but who struck down all of these?

No then there shall fall to the earth nothing of the word of Yahweh which Yahweh spoke concerning the house of Ahab, for Yahweh has done what he said by his servant

Elijah. So Jehu struck down all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, all his great men, and his close friends, and his priests, until he left him nothing, none remaining.

So the prophecy came true. And what did Jehu recognize?

Nothing of the word of Yahweh which Yahweh spoke concerning the house of Ahab. None of it has what?

Fallen to the earth. God doesn't allow his word to fall to the earth. His worthlessness is dung.

And so when people like this, and there are many people like her, I chose her because of her obscurity.

When she speaks these words, they all fall to the ground. In fact, they don't even, they start off in the dirt.

Every one of these prophecies is a turd. It's dung. It's not real. This isn't what

God is saying. Of the Lord, that he really is a God of second chances. He's a

God that gives you a second chance, a third chance, a fourth chance, because he wants you, he's literally, he wants to herd you in like a sheepdog.

You know those dogs, they herd the big sheep to come in, that they all can come into the crawl. You know what I'm talking about? Alexa's giving me the look, she's got one of those dogs.

And I saw how the Father literally just wants to come and herd you in, into a place that you can step into the greater plan.

Which biblical text is she preaching from again? Yeah, she's not. God wants to herd you in a place that you can step into the greater, right?

Listen again. Come into the crawl, you know what I'm talking about? Alexa's giving me the look, she's got one of those dogs. And I saw how the

Father literally just wants to come and herd you in, into a place that you can step into the greater plan that he has for you, that where the enemy thought you're gonna go south, and you're gonna detour, he wants to herd you back and give you another chance, and another

She's not preaching any biblical text. And so all of these words, they fall straight to the ground if they were even in the air to begin with.

But no true words of Yahweh ever fall to the ground. God doesn't speak words of emptiness.

And so again, the problem here is that any congregation that tolerates false prophets like her, they are swapping the true foundation that the

Church is built on for a false foundation. Again, listen to what Paul says,

You are no longer strangers and aliens. You are fellow citizens with the saints, and you are members of the household of God.

You are built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. That's the Old and the New Testament. Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone.

Whom the whole structure being joined together grows into a holy temple in the Lord. What she is building that church on are false words.

She's a false prophet on empty words. And she is building that church on the foundation of her words, not the words of the apostles of the

New Testament and the prophets of the Old. And as a result of it, that church isn't a church of Jesus Christ.

Not at all. The people who are gathered there, they aren't abiding in the words of Jesus.

Jesus says, If you are my disciple, you will abide in my word, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Whoever is of God, Jesus says, hears the words of God. And that's found in the Scriptures, in the apostles and the prophets.

The reason why the people there don't hear them is because they're not of God. It's just that simple.

So again, Jesus says, If you abide in my word, apostles and prophets, the thing that the

Church is built on, you are my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. So brothers and sisters,

I know we make light of a lot of the false prophets that we cover here, and we'll continue to do that. Prophecy bingo isn't going away anytime soon.

But in a more serious note, we need to recognize what the threat is. It is people like Carrie Smith and others who bring us false words, who are building a church for sure, but it ain't the

Church of Jesus Christ. It's not the household of God. The true Church of Jesus Christ, the household of God, is built on the words of the apostles and the prophets.

That's why Paul tells pastors to preach the word and be ready in season and out of season, to reprove, to rebuke, and exhort with sound doctrine.

People like this, the foundation they are building their churches on isn't Christ, and as a result of it, they're not abiding in Christ's words.

And those people don't know the truth, and as a result of not hearing the truth of Christ's words in the

Scripture, they are not set free. They are still slaves of sin and iniquity, and under the delusions and the deceptions of the devil.
